The portal closed behind him as he collapsed onto his bed in a tired ball. Meetings were always so boring, but he supposed they were necessary. He flipped over onto his back, staring up at the ceiling. He was so bored and slightly tired, that he considered falling asleep right there and then. That was until his phone vibrated. He picked it up from the knight stand and opened up a text. "Hey babe." it was a text from Blitz.
Stolas smiled softly. "Hello, my darling, how are you?" he texted back. It wasn't twenty minutes later that he got a text back. "Eh... Bored as fuck, missing you." Stolas giggled softly as he sent a cute selfie of him laying on his bed. An immediate response came. "Holy shit... You look so gorgeous, yet, so tired. You really should sleep, babe." Stolas felt his eyes droop, wanting to close. He shook his head and texted Blitz back. "I will eventually." About thirty minutes passed and Stolas had nearly fallen asleep when his phone rang.
He saw that it was Blitz, answering it and holding it close to his ear. "Hello?" he asked. "Heya Stols. Just checking if you were asleep. Apparently you aren't which is not good." Blitz said. Stolas chuckled tiredly. "I said I would eventually, my love." he said, yawning softly. Blitz hummed softly. "Yeah... I know what you said, babe, I just didn't expect you to answer if you were sleeping." he said. Stolas could feel his body shutting down, almost dropping his phone as his eyes began to close again. "Mhm..." is all he could say.
Blitz noticed that Stolas was finally letting himself relax. "Hey. Set your phone down and turn on the camera, I'll comfort you while you sleep." he said. Stolas used what little strength he had to set his phone up and turn on his camera, flipping over to face it, his tired red eyes drooping shut. "There you are, beautiful. Aww... Looking so damn tired." Blitz said. He was dressed in a regular black tank top and a pair of jeans, he was sitting on his couch at home, watching some t.v., so Stolas could hear.
"You're looking amazing as always, darling." said Stolas, yawning softly. Blitz chuckled softly, setting his phone down on what was probably a table as he laid down on his couch, bringing a blanket up to his chest. "Thanks, but, you should really rest those pretty eyes of yours, bird brain." he said as he stared at Stolas with concern and love in his eyes. Stolas sighed quietly. "I will attempt... It's just... Hard to sleep by myself." he said.
"Want me to come over?" Blitz asked. Stolas giggled softly. "Yes, but, isn't today your daughter's birthday?" he asked. Blitz nodded. "Yeah, we just got back from doing some stuff she wanted, got her a cake and presents too. So, I'm basically free. Just, open up a portal and I'll come on over." he said with a smile. Stolas chuckled. "My magic can't work that far away, my love." he said. Blitz sighed. "Right right, I knew that. Hey, I'll be on my way, okay? you rest those pretty eyes, and if you're asleep when I get there, I'll just lay next to you and cuddle you, okay?" Blitz asked as he began to get up from the couch, grabbing his phone.
Stolas nodded, not having enough energy to speak. The call soon ended and so did Stolas. He had fallen asleep, unable to fight it off any longer. An hour went by, and Stolas was completely asleep, breathing quietly and hooting softly. The balcony doors had opened and quickly shut just as a breeze was about to flow inside. Blitz quietly slipped into the covers and snuggled close to Stolas, frowning softly at the bags under the owl's eyes.
"Stolas... Why do you let them do this too you, babe...? You look so tired..." he sighed as he ran a gentle hand down Stolas's cheek. Stolas groaned quietly rubbing the place where Blitz rubbed, making Blitz chuckle with a smile, leaning over and kissing Stolas gently on the beak. Stolas didn't react as he was too deep into his dream land. Blitz sat up on the bed, holding Stolas close as he played on his phone, texting his employees that he'll not be able to come in because he was with Stolas.
He also took a picture of him holding a sleeping Stolas and posted it to his Voxtagram with the caption. 'Look at my sleepy owl prince.' he smiled at the picture and continued to play on his phone. After an hour, he too was slowly falling asleep. He set his phone down and laid down onto the bed, cuddling Stolas close and closing his eyes. "I love you Stols..." he said softly as he gently held Stolas's hand. Stolas didn't respond. Blitz didn't mind, he was just happy that Stolas was finally getting the rest he needed.
Blitz slowly fell asleep next to Stolas, breathing quietly. The lesson here is; don't force yourself to stay awake, if you're tired, let your body relax and turn itself off the day or night. If your eyes are drooping shut, it is your body telling you that it is time to put down whatever it is that you're doing and go lay down for some rest, don't fight it, do as your body and brain are telling you to. You don't want to make yourself ill now do you? End.~
