Summary
As the Edgerunners crew prepare for their heist on Tanaka's navigation data, they are unsettled to learn that the driver had been replaced with someone else on the Arasaka payroll. Still, they carry through with their new plans - which throws the course of two legends off their predestined paths.
In the meantime, Kiwi struggles with the thoughts of what it really means to succeed in Night City.

Assuming you've watched Edgerunners, have you ever wished there was more character development for Kiwi? I did. Her cynical, mercenary mindset was never challenged; poking at such things are so much fun... and this fic does exactly that. With style! All the usual building blocks are here: solid diction and editing, great pacing, fun, meaningful and seamless tweaks to the otherwise canon storyline, and did I mention the character development? Because that's the real gem to this fic: Kiwi being challenged in one after another desperate situation to alter her worldview and/or feelings a little bit more, until she's suddenly putting it all on the line to spit in the face of the pragmatic choice. To top it all off, IMHO the author has nailed the cyberpunk theme here too. Fast, flashy action, desperate gambits, and a focus on the war for meaning in a neon world of dreams that are rusted away right underneath.
