Chapter Text
Winston sighed as his alarm, blared at the same time again. One of these days he wished it wouldn't. He looked over to turn it off and heard Becca grumbling like she does every morning. "Win, I don't want to get up. Tell mom I'm sick." She sighed dramatically and placed her hand on her forehead. Winston closed his eyes again, and thought about the messages he got last night.
G: Bro where's my money? You promised you'd have it
W: I know I did, I'll have it by these weekend I promise man
G: You fucking better.
Winston sighed and headed into the bathroom, and just looked at himself through the mirror. He has this curly brown hair with an unusual blonde streak in the front. He has these gentle blue eyes that are complimented with a splash of freckles across his nose and cheeks. He leaned into the mirror more to look at his piercings, which he has a lip piercing and a nose ring. Becca pounded on the door which made him jump and almost rip out his lip piercing. "Winnnn hurry upp!! I need to shower before school!" She whined. Winston huffed, opened the door and pushed past her into the kitchen where he pulled out the brown kitchen chair and slumped into it. "Morning Mami, how was work?" he asked quietly, trying not to disturb her too much. She sighed and turned around, the tiredness showing on her face. "It wasn't too bad. We had a motorcycle crash and that was about it." Winston sighed, knowing how hard it was for her. "Where's dad?" He asked, stretching in the chair. His mom shrugged as Becca came tearing across the apartment, shoving papers into her leather bag.
When Winston and Becca arrived at their high school, Becca ran off to catch up with her friends while Winston sat on his motorcycle still, and pulled out a cigarette. It's the one habit he wants to kick, but it's just too addicting. He lit it up, and scrolled through his text messages with Garrett. He owes Garrett a good sum of money, from getting him out of jail one night. Winston sighed and ran his fingers through his hair before taking one last hit on the cig and putting it out.
As he walked into the school, the linoleum tiles gleaming like they always do, he strolled over to his locker and opened it, quickly shoving his books into it. He closed it before turning around and almost bumping into a girl. He quickly apologized and brushed past her, and headed for the auto shop in the back of the school. When he got in there, he sighed and dramatically sat in one of the god-awful green chairs. "What's up man?" Jake asked, giving him a quick fist bump. Winston waved his hand as a "don't worry about it" gesture. Instead of waiting for his teacher, he strolled over to the engine he was working on, and was half tempted to push it off the table. He quickly got to work trying to disassemble it, but got frustrated pretty quickly. His phone buzzed in his pocket, and he looked down at it quickly.
B: Are you in class rn??
W: duh. why wouldn't i b
B: bc you skip all the time.
B: meet me under the stairs, i gotta show you smth
Winston sighed, and slipped out of class, heading towards the stairs in the back of the school. Whatever his sister wanted it must be important.
