You couldn’t see Monokuma’s eyes through the mirrored sunglasses he wore but you could sense the bastardry beaming through them. You looked at him with a hard expression; brows furrowed and a scowl. It didn’t faze him one bit.
“Monokuma you can’t just kill every damn person that lays a hand on me!”, you cried out, exasperated. You bit down on your cheek to suppress your anger and frustrations. You knew better than anyone, he acted on what he thought would get a reaction from you. Monokuma was methodical with his intentions even with his sporadic and off the wall decision making. He loved figuring out what made you tick.
“Well duh, (Y/n), that’d be suicide, upupu~,” he snickered a bit. With his gloved hand– spikes running along each knuckle– he grabbed my chin and gave my face a squish. “And I can’t let my prince(ss) get lonely~”, he cooed. You shoved his shoulder aside.
Upon collision he twirled you around and ended with both hands planted firmly on your shoulders. You were still discombobulated as he scolded you. “Ah-ah~!” he peered over your right side– “You know it’s against the rules to hurt the headmaster.” You didn’t know it was even possible, but his stupid grin widened further. You grit your teeth in an attempt to stop him from getting under your skin. You refused to let him get what he wanted. This time you lightly pushed him off you.
“Piss off.” You rolled your eyes and dusted off your clothes. Your gaze wandered around then made its way to the corpse bloodied and penetrated by a thousand spikes a little ways away on the tiled linoleum floor. Your heart sank a bit. You felt horrible. Guilty even. It wasn’t even your fault per se. Though god. You felt like it was. Your resentfulness dispersed and was replaced with something similar to sorrow. Not quite. You couldn’t place it. Though it was nothing of the despair Monokuma preached about. Despair was enriching. Stout. Like the hardest liquor on the shelf. It was intoxicating and addictive. Even on the brink of death, you’ll never feel more alive.
No, whatever this was, it made Monokuma uncomfortable.
“Heh, (Y/n)! What’s with the long face?” When there was no response he added, “You never liked the prick anyways!” You just continued blankly staring at the cadaver. Monokuma shifted back and forth. He was beginning to get desperate for any sort of response. “Awww c’mon (Y/nnnn) you can’t stay mad at meeeee~<//333”
No response.
“Fine! Y’know what!? I’ll kill everyone! What’re ya gon’ do then?” Monokuma stomped and turned on his heel, sticking his nose up in the air. Quickly after, he opened an eye and peeked around to see if his empty threat fazed you. Much to his dismay, you did not come crying and kissing his feet, praising him for how noble and generous he is to have only killed one person. You were strong-willed and that’s something he hated yet loved about you. You were unyielding in the face of danger and that’s how he grew to like you, hell, even love you.
Monokuma fell before you, on his knees and head low. With clasped hands, he begged for your forgiveness. The quick change in personalities almost gave you whiplash. You looked down at the man with raised brows. It was quite pathetic. You sighed.
“Get your ass up,” you said, though it was more of a command. Monokuma quickly jolted upright, acting as if nothing even happened. His smile grew with each passing second.
“I knew you couldn’t resist my charms~”,
“And you can’t resist mine,” You lean into the man and grab ahold of his silk necktie. With a smirk of your own, you yank Monokuma down to eye level. The sweet tone of your voice dropped as you said, “Now clean up your damn mess.”
