She almost regretted having to tell her husband she was with child. She loved him dearly and he her but she knew the instant it was revealed that he would not leave her unattended for a second. As much as she loved the attention she was capable of handling her own wellbeing
Maester Kelvyn offered to tell the Lord of the Tides in place of the Princess - a kind offer she thought and one which would certainly aid her in escaping to the dragon pit before she was smothered in care.
"You know my Lord Husband as well as I Maester, he will not let me out of his sight" she had sighed to him with feigned annoyance.
"Princess, his Lord only means to protect you and his unborn babe" Maester Kelvyn replied,a small smile crossing his face.
Maester Kelvyn had been with them since they were first married almost four years ago and together they shared many small jokes. Rhaenys felt is was nice to be able to act normal among the people seeing to her health especially as the Maesters were to undoubtably see her in immense pain.
Their conversation was cut short by a messenger boy coming to them with new that Corlys had returned to the docks from his latest trip to Kings Landing and the two shared a look.
"I shall tell his Lordship while you are at the dragon pit Princess" he conceded.
"Maester, you have always been my favourite" Rhaenys beamed as she ran from the halls and towards Meleys.
In truth she didn't mind Corlys being protective of her. She did however enjoy her freedom too much to give it up completely.
