Lumine loved to read. It was a fact anyone close to her knew, once she got on the topic of them you can’t get her to stop. Xiao loved this about her the way she was so passionate about it, how she was over the moon anytime he brought it up. Her eyes lit up in a way that made him smile he loved it.
Lumine was currently on one of her rants about how she had nearly read all of the books that Wanwen book house sold. It was something that surprised Xiao he knew of the book house and how it was notorious for having nearly any book that someone could think of. He was starting to wonder how much his girlfriend actually read.
“Maybe you should slow down at reading” He joked just to get a light slap on the shoulder, she had a pretend look of shock on her face.
“How dare you say such a thing to me” She held a heart to her chest, “And here I thought you loved me” He laughed at her dramatics only to grab her hand and kiss it slightly, “You aren’t going to be able to win me back that easily”
“I don’t need to win you back” He pulled her closer tipping her chin up slightly and kissing her softly, “I never lost you in the first place” He saw as Lumine’s brain short circuited making him laugh inside, “But if I must” He smirked standing up from where they were sitting he held out a hand for her to take.
Lumine tilted her head to the side in confusion but took it anyways with a smile, “What are you planning” She squinted slightly as if trying to read his mind.
“You will see my love” He whispered into her ear while grabbing her waist. Xiao couldn’t see her face at this angle but he was almost positive he managed to make her go bright red, “Hold onto me tight” Lumine wrapped her arms around his chest before she felt the world around her warp.
Xiao watched Lumine’s face turn into awe as she looked around the room Xiao had taken them to she let go of him walking forward to look up to the roof which was covered in beautiful paintings, “Oh Archons where are we” She turned to look at him with the biggest smile on her face.
“This is the adepti’s private library” He had never actually set foot in here, he never needed too the only person who actually uses it on a regular basis is Yanfei.
“You kept this from me the entire time” She said as if she was trying to be upset was to happy, “Oh I don’t care this is wonderful” She ran up to him giving him the biggest hug before pulling away worried, “The other adepti wont be mad will they”
Xiao shook his head, “Nah they don’t exactly care besides they all like you well enough” Lumine smiled at that, “Aren’t you going to run around now?” She smiled before giving him a quick kiss.
Xiao sat down in one of the seats as he watched her look at every book possible while she occasionally made an excited face at him. Xiao was glad to have helped her find more books to be passionate about.
