Chapter Text

~My Little Birdie (Chapter One)~

Izuku Midoryia has had an easy life. She never thought that this inevitable thought that has lingered in her head ever since she could speak would ever come true. Once she turned 4, and got her quirk, her life took a turn for the worst.

The small family was taking a drive to the city to celebrate Izuku’s new-found quirk. Little did they know, this would be a huge disaster. After about 12 minutes of driving through non-stop traffic, the family arrived at a bridge. Hisashi Midoriya, her father, parked the car just off the side of the main road. Inko Midoriya, her mother, got out of her spot in the passenger's seat and went to the back seat where curious Izuku sat looking out the window onto the vast place of the unknown. As she unbuckled her daughter, Hisashi went to the trunk and grabbed a camera and a blanket. All three of the green-eyed family members walked up to the walls of the bridge.

“Why are we here mommy?” Izuku asked curiously.
“This is where daddy asked to marry me! This is also where we celebrated your first birthday!” Inko happily replied.

Izuku just stared in awe at the amazing view over the wall of the bridge. Hisashi wrapped the blanket around the two of them and stepped back to take a picture of them to savor the memory. Just moments later they heard a loud scream along with an explosion.

Inko immediately held Izuku close and tried to run to their car but before the family could they heard three loud bangs.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Two hit the targets. One barely missed. Izuku stared in shock at the scene before her. Her parents laid in their pool of blood, lifeless.

“MOMMY! DADDY!” Izuku cried out. She scooted away from the gruesome scene to the car nearby. Izuku heard gunshots and screams everywhere. She didn't stop crying, calling out for her parents who laid dead in front of her. The loud noises, the explosions, the chaos she is witnessing sent her into a panic attack. Her breathing quickened, and she became more desperate for her parents. She screamed and cried for her mother but nothing made her come back. The chaos that had sent her into the spiral of panic had ended and the pro heroes were checking for any survivors they may have missed, that was when a certain number 3 pro hero heard the screams and cries of a child tucked just out of sight.

This certain hero followed the noises until he saw a young girl with a green tuft of hair.
“Are you okay?” the hero asks calmly, seeing as she is very panicked. He kneeled down next to the girl and touched her shoulder softly. This caused Izuku to jump and look at the pro hero with wide eyes. Izuku wrapped herself in her yellow wings, slightly splattered with blood.

“Hey, it's okay. We’re here to help. Where are you parents?” The hero asked Izuku calmly. Izuku points in the direction of her parents' deceased bodies. He looked in surprise and felt bad for the little kid. She didn’t look any older than 4. She must have just gotten her quirk.
“Can I pick you up and take you over there?” he says, pointing at a car with pro heroes all around it. Izuku nods slightly and completely unwraps herself from the wings.

“Hey, what's your name? Mines Hawks.” Hawks said as he tried to calm the scared kid down.
“I-Izuku Midoriya.” Izuku whispered out. Her voice was raspy and tired from all the crying and screaming she was doing. Hawks nodded and gave her a slight smile before jogging over to the other pro heroes.

“This girl was hidden by one of the cars. Her parents were killed in the attack, her name is Izuku Midoriya.“ he said to Mirko.
She nodded and walked off to one of the police to tell them about the survivor. Hawks took her over to an ambulance to get checked up on to make sure there were no fatal injuries. Luckily, there were just a few scratches and a cut on her cheek.
“Hey, can you walk?” Hawks asked, clearly attached to this kid.
Izuku nodded slightly and went to stand up and prove it, she suddenly collapsed onto her wings.
