Work Text:

Barry just finished washing the dishes when someone started to bang their fist on the door.

"Bartholomew Allen! I know you're in there! Open the f*ck up!"

Barry took a deep breath. There's only one person who would do that. Sure enough, when he opened the door, Caitlin Snow stumbled inside, obviously drunk.

"Cait, what the hell-" He said as he closed the door after her. He found Caitlin on the couch, humming.

"Want to tell me why you decided to barge in?"

"It's Ronnie." The brunette mumbled.

"Ronnie? What about him? I thought you two were good."

Caitlin laughed humorlessly. "Yeah, until a few hours ago. He decided to break up with me."

Barry winced. "Damn, sorry to hear that."

"I would have been fine with it - couples do fall out of love sometimes, after all - but it's how he did it."

"And how, exactly, did he do it?" Barry prodded his best friend.

"Through text. Through a f*cking text! I mean, where the hell are we? In high school? Here's what he said. 'Dear Cait. I'm so sorry but I think we should take a break from each other. I do love you in general, but I just can't right now. I'm sorry.' That son of a bitch didn't even have the guts to tell me himself!" A beat then "This is so pathetic. I'm so pathetic, whining over a breakup like a teenager... How the mighty has fallen."

"Hey," Barry said gently, taking his friend's hand, "stop saying that. You are not pathetic. The problem is with Ronnie, for being a coward and-" a slight snoring. He looked down and sure enough, Caitlin was asleep. Well, F*CK.

Caitlin woke up with a massive headache, her vision spinning. She looked around. She was in Barry's room, that much she knew. She looked to her left - and froze as she caught sight of what was hanging on the bed post: the red lace bra she was wearing the night before. Oh, shit. Shitshitshitshit- she looked under the covers, confirming her suspicions: she was naked as the day she was born.

"Morning, Cait!"

Caitlin screamed as Barry appeared

"What time is it? And why am I naked?!"

Barry chuckled. "You really don't remember, do you? And no; nothing happened last night. You're naked because you woke up in the middle of the night and complained how hot it is before stripping and going back to sleep."

"OK first, this never happened, OK? Not a word to Iris or Cisco. Especially Cisco. You know how that idiot likes to put meaning in meaningless things. Second- God, my head hurts. Do you have any Advil?"

"Be right back."

Once Barry left, Caitlin let her head fall back on the pillows, staring unseeingly at the ceiling. What have I done?

AYOOOO! OK so this particular chapter is inspired by Lucifer 1x11, after Dan broke up with Chloe through text.
