The first time, it was soft.
Sirius had climbed his way into Remus' bed that night. Remus has small protests, but soon ignored Sirius. They were facing each other, Sirius staring at Remus the whole time.
"Padfoot, stop it." Sirius grinned at Remus. Remus rolled his eyes and then closed them, trying to get to bed. In his tired state, he felt a soft brush against his lips.
When he woke up, Sirius wasn't next to him. Remus wondered if the soft kiss was a dream.
The second time, it was angry.
It was a holiday and Sirius was over at Remus's. Remus's parents had left them alone and they began to bicker. Remus couldn't remember what it was about. It was forever ago. But it was stupid.
Remus was shouting and Sirius shouted back. Remus was almost at tears and Sirius could see it. Sirius had walked his way to Remus, holding onto Remus's shoulders. It was a quick kiss but it held anger in it.
Sirius had stormed off after that. Remus's parents didn't ask anything about it.
The next time, it was an apology.
Sirius went back to Remus's the next day. He wanted to say sorry, to make up with Remus.
Remus opened the door, his eyes slightly red. Sirius felt awful. But he couldn't remember what the fight was about anymore.
"God Moony, I'm sorry." Remus softly sniffled in response. Sirius didn't know what to do so he did the thing that came to mind. He kissed Remus. It was slow and passionate and all I did was whisper I'm sorry against Remus's mouth.
The next three times were neck kisses
Remus was in their room when they had gotten back to Hogwarts. James was off trying to impress Lily in the common room and Peter had tagged along. He was sitting on his bed, reading a muggle book when Sirius entered. He walked to Remus and sat behind him.
"What is it Sirius?"
"Nothing Moony." Sirius only draped his arms over Remus's shoulders, pulling Remus towards him. Softly, he left three kisses on the back of Remus's neck in a triangle. He then left his head in the crook of Remus's neck, looking at the pages with him.
The second to last time, it was sad.
Another big fight. This time, it didn't end it anger. Both Remus and Sirius were crying.
"I just-I just-" Remus couldn't get the words out. Sirius only held him close. They clung to each other, getting tears on their shirts.
"It's okay Remus." Sirius hadn't called Remus by name in a long time. "It'll all be okay." Sirius left a kiss on Remus's cheek. He could taste the salt in his tears. He only held Remus closer then.
The last time Sirius Black kissed Remus Lupin was joyful
It had been years since Remus and Sirius had been able to sit down together and talk. They had both been busy and when they were together, there wasn't time to be alone.
They had decided to meet at Remus's house. It was new and smelled like old parchment and chocolate. Sirius could tell from the door.
When Remus opened the door, both of them smiled. Sirius pulled Remus into a hug, breathing in Remus. He held the two of them apart, grabbing Remus's shoulders to stare into his eyes. Then, he pulled their lips together.
The kiss was long and held so many meanings to it. But it was joyful. Sirius had never missed Remus more and neither had Remus. When they pulled apart all they could do was smile at each other like idiots. And they loved every bit of it.
