Matchmaker Morgan

Summary:

Morgan arrives to find Robin and Lucina not romantically involved and decides to try and do something about that.

Chapter Text

Morgan plopped down in her bedroll. She had had quite the day and was uncharacteristically tired. At least, she thought it was out of character. Morgan had very few memories of her past save for her father, but she did not let that keep her down. Sure, she would have liked to know things like who her mother was or the date of her birth, but she was optimistic despite all that.

Though, her day had been rough. First, she woke up ins some strange temple memoryless and then she was attacked by weird…things. Then her father saved her, but she also learned of her being from the future after that. It was a lot to take in, but she thought she took it pretty well.

Then she was introduced to Chrom and the Shepherds. They were nice…mostly. She liked them; they seemed fun. Though, there were a few sour faces in the lot. In particular, a woman named Lucina seemed awfully cold toward Morgan and even her father. It seemed clear that the woman did not trust either of them. Morgan would admit that her story was a bit sketchy, but she had no idea why she was so hostile to her father.

Despite that, Morgan thoroughly enjoyed her time in camp and getting to spend time with her father in his prime. He promised that he would make as much time for her as he could, but they were supposed to be setting sail for a place called Valm soon. He said it would be dangerous, but she insisted on going along anyway. She was not leaving her only family. Well, only known family.

She was rather disappointed that her father did not know who her mother was either. He was not even dating anyone which Morgan found rather concerning. Would she cease to exist if they did not get together in time? Okay, maybe she was jumping to conclusions, but she was still anxious to find her mother.

Morgan yawned and rolled over. She could look in the morning.

Morgan was running through a hall. It was both familiar yet unfamiliar at the same time. She was short too. Was she younger?

She tripped and fell. It hurt. She started crying. Then she found herself wrapped in a loving embrace. It felt warm, comfortable, and safe. Her sobs died down into sniffles and a hand wiped away her tears.

"See? You're fine now, Morgan. Mommy has you."

Morgan looked up at her mother's face framed by cerulean locks.

Morgan sat up in a cold sweat. Was that a memory or just a dream? No, it felt so real, so vivid. That was a memory. She knew it, but…how could Lucina be her mother? She did not even seem to like her father, let alone be in love with him. Was something wrong? Maybe they just needed a little help. Yeah! A little nudge to get them going!

Morgan forgot all about sleep and started pacing around her tent coming up with ideas to get her parents together. After all, if they were destined to get together, why not speed things along a little?
