Work Text:
Sidney knocked on the door as he opened it. He had been waiting for Faelynn to drop by his trailer and— after two hours of pretending like he wasn't worried— he walked to the house.
“Father?” he called out, the house seemed a little too quiet to have the two in it, “Faelynn?” he closed the door as he walked in further.
Sid didn't have to walk far before he saw a Faelynn shaped lump on the couch. He frowned, the man he knew usually didn't take naps, but there was a bit of relief that the bou was home and nothing bad had happened. He looked at the clock to see it was nearly 7 pm, he could only guess Father Brown was occupied at the moment.
He walked closer to the couch and pressed his hand against the boy's forehead, a bit warm, but nothing too alarming. As he pulled away, the boy opened his eyes.
“Sid?” he reached up, rubbing his eyes.
“Hey preacher boy” he said softly with a smile kneeling next to the couch, “got worried when you didn't show”
“Oh… I'm sorry… I don't feel very well... my stomach hurts”
Sidney frowned, “no need, darlin'. Let's get you into your bed” he stood up and helped the boy to his feet, and guided him to his room upstairs. Sidney got him into bed, remembering the bindings underneath Faes shirt “oi, before you sleep let's get those binding off. Not having another incident like last year”.
Faelynn hugged his stomach, obviously not wanting to take them off. Sid sighed, guiding the boy's face to look at him, pressing a kiss to his forehead.
“I know it's rough doll, but I don't want you's getting hurt like last time… hated seeing ya' like that” he gently ran his fingers through his hair, going over the spot a few times.
He nodded and sat at the edge of the bed with him. Sidney slipped off his boyfriends shirt, and slowly unwrapped the bindings, the other avoiding looking at him. He understood by now it was just 'one of those days' and there wasn't a whole lot he could do to help, it left him feeling helpless. He helped him get his shirt back on, this time placing a soft loving kiss on Faes lips, not caring if what he had could spread to him.
“Just as handsome as ever you are… even when you're sick, not fair y'know?" he said resting their foreheads together, getting a tired smile out of the boy, “there's that beautiful smile” he kissed his nose this time, “let's get you covered up”
Faelynn scooted into the bed, before silently tugging at Sidney's shirt sleeve for him to get in with him. He complied, crawling under the covered and pulling him into his arms. He tangled their legs together and kissed the top of the man's head.
“I love you…” Fae mumble, turning to bury his face into his chest.
Sidney smiled softly, closing his eyes to hopefully fall asleep as well, “I love you too darling…”
