Never Be a Home Wrecker

Summary:

You would think that anyone would know to not be a home wrecker. But Haruno Sakura could care less.

Sakura has been flirting with her boss, Sasuke Uchiha, since she was hired. And finally, tonight she plans to confront him.

The only problem is, he’s married.

Work Text:

Sakura had always been the stubborn type. Once she set her eyes on something, she would never let it out of her eyesight.

Such was the case with her boss, Sasuke Uchiha.

The man hired her to be his secretary. And from the moment they met, she knew they had a connection.

So, Sakura began to flirt with him. Sometimes, she would touch his hand when giving him papers. Or, when they made contact, she would stare at him and smile longer than necessary. Sakura did it because her boss was obviously the shy type. He rarely talked, unless he needed to. And he almost never left his office; He was the human definition of anti-social.

Sakura sighed as she dreamed of the future places she would visit with Sasuke. After all, the man was rich! He owned his own a large, profitable business and had connections to many others!

Too lost in her daydreaming, Sakura didn’t hear her blonde friend calling her name.

”SAKURA!”

A jolt flashed through the secretary’s body and she turned, finally, to address her best friend behind her.

”Finally have you stopped sleeping with your eyes open?” Ino remarked dryly, as she raised her eyebrow.

Rolling her eyes, Sakura turned back to the tedious papers on her desk. “Actually Ino, I wasn’t sleeping. I was thinking of the magnificent vacation spots I will go to in the future.” The pink haired lady cupped her chin and smiled at the prospect of going anywhere in the world.

“Are you joking, Sakura? Because I really hope you are,” Ino whispered with malice. “I support you on a lot of decisions you make, but this is going too far! He’s not into, and he never will be. You know why, Sakura? Because he’s married!” Ino didn’t really care what Sakura did, as long it wasn’t illegal. But ruining someone else’s relationship, just to get some money? Nope, Ino was not supporting that!

Sakura slumped in her chair and groaned, “Ugh Ino, why did you remind me? That doesn’t even matter, it’s obvious the marriage is failing anyway. Do you really think anyone would be that dull and quiet if he was in a healthy relationship?

“I can make him happy, I know I can. He looks at me, and trust me, he isn’t good at hiding it.” Sakura proudly nodded as if she had found a cure to a deadly disease.

“Fine,” Ino spit out. “Go and try to ruin a marriage. I’ve tried too hard to convince you not to, and you never listen. But when you get fired for doing something as ridiculous as this. Just remember that it’s all your fault for being so selfish and ignorant! Have fun trying to get a man to cheat!” Ino swiftly turned around and briskly walked back to her own desk.

Green eyes rolled once again before focusing back on her desk. Her friend had no idea what she was talking about! Sasuke was obviously unhappy with his wife, and Sakura could fix that!

Tonight, she would confront Sasuke. Married man or not, Sakura was too stubborn to let him go.

                                              _______________________________________________

Sasuke stretched slowly as he stood up from his chair. He had been reading contracts and deals the the whole day, and was tired enough to fall asleep on the floor.

Of course he would never do that, because he had a husband at home waiting for him.

A smile appeared on Sasuke’s face as he thought about his husband and their newest family member about to join soon. Sasuke quickly packed his suitcase; Thinking of his family made his want to return home as fast as possible.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t fast enough to avoid his own secretary.

A knock on his door made him pause as he was just about to close his suitcase.

The door opened and…

”Haruno. Why are you here?”

He made sure his voice was as cold and unwelcoming possible. He never liked her, but she was good at filing papers and keeping track of important events and meetings.

Haruno waltzed carelessly into his office and shut the door. “Sasuke-kun, I came here to tell you something. I know it’s late, but you don’t mind.”

The Uchiha raised an eyebrow at the lady’s presumption, but allowed it anyway.

“Make it quick. I need to go home.”

A giggle echoed throughout the office before Haruno replied, “Oh Sasuke-kun, you don’t really want to go home.”

Dark eyes squinted in confusion. What was this woman talking about now? Was there traffic on the road right now?

“Come on, you don’t have to hide it! I know your marriage isn’t as perfect as you pretend it to be,” Haruno paused to wink at her boss. “If it was, you would have never fallen for me!”

What. No, she- no. What is happening.

Sasuke’s brain short-circuited as he tried to process what she had said. How was he suppose to respond to such delusional statements?

”What?”

This time, a laugh came from Haruno. “I bet you didn’t think I would catch on. But I did. Trust me, I’m smarter than you think,” The pink haired lady began walking towards Sasuke in order to wrap her arms around his neck. “You don’t have to hide it anymore. I feel the same way about you-“

”WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING!” Sasuke roared angrily as he snatched the woman’s arms and shoved the away.

”Sasuke-kun!” Haruno gasped.

“How dare you try to touch me! I am a HAPPILY married man! You are stupider than a rock if you truly did think I ever liked you.” At this point rage filled the Uchiha’s entire being. How dare she try to separate him and his family! “I should throw you out of my office and embarrass you in front of this whole building! People like you disgust me. You are part of the lowest scum in this Earth. Gather your belongings, because you lost your job here and anywhere else in this country. I have connections everywhere, so don’t even bother to live her anymore. You will regret ever trying to ruin me and my husband’s marriage, Haruno.”

Sasuke snatched his suitcase and left his office with a slam of his door.

Sakura stared at the floor in shock.

Wait. Husband?

                                                      ______________________________________

Naruto glanced at his clock again. It was getting late, and Sasuke still hadn’t returned home.

A soft kick in his side made him remember not to stress out.

Naruto sighed, “I guess your father has extra paperwork today, huh? Well, I’m sure he’ll return any minute now; He never misses the opportunity to say goodnight to you.”

As the man got comfortable in the bed, the bedroom door opened quietly. The raven haired man behind made sure he was quiet, lest he wake up the people inside.

Softly, a chuckle came from Naruto, “I’m still awake, no need to be quiet for my sake.”

Sasuke huffed as he set his suitcase down and walked to their closet to change his clothes.

”You should be sleeping,” Sasuke commented displeasingly. “You’re going to need more sleep as the our son grows.”

Once again, Naruto sighed at his husband’s complaints. Ever since they both found out that Naruto was pregnant, Sasuke had been very overprotective. He remembered the day when his doctor told them that Naruto had a condition, which allowed him to be fertile. Since then, Sasuke made sure Naruto ate healthily (to Naruto’s dismay), never overworked, and slept the necessary amount of hours.

When Sasuke finished changing his clothing, his joined his family in bed. Like usual, he leaned down to his husbands round belly, and said a soft goodnight to his son.

As his husband pulled the blanket over himself, Naruto asked, “What took you so long to get here?”

The raven sighed tiredly before responding, “I’ll explain it in the morning.”

Understandingly, Naruto nodded before settling down and closing his eyes for some precious sleep.

”Naruto.”

”Hm?” The blond opened one eye to gaze back at his husband.

Sasuke gave his husband a smile he only him see.

”Thank you.”

Naruto blushed, then pecked Sasuke’s lips.

”Thank you as well. I love you.”

”Love you too”

Sasuke couldn’t stay mad at Haruno forever. Not when he was with his family happily.
