Nyanyanyanya, you can't take Neurodivergent!Yuan from my clutches ever again. (*cough everyone calls him shifty and shady and scheming and dishonest when he actually gives you the most open and honest exposition of how ALL of the universe actually works in game freely and all because he doesn't do the whole eye contact thing cough he's not even THAT backstabbing he's been very direct about his true loyalties and yeeeah there's the little hostage and blackmailing thing but that's not shady that's just being as jerk cough cough honestly cough because I just had Covid cough why am I rambling*)

In all seriousness tho, I just liked the scenario of, like. Both of them being taken prisoner. It's rough. And they have a world to save (or a city or a country or... choose your AU). And Yuan just going "I know *I* have no filter, but you've been taking MY beating for the past week because you never stop mouthing off, do you even notice???" And Botta like "??? It seems I've been making assumptions about what is 'obvious' and 'a given' again. I'm sorry."

Also Botta, as always, having that bad tendency of prioritizing his own personal safety somewhere below "don't forget to buy lemonade" on the list.

Not entirely sure where in their relationship they are here, because mostly I've been thinking about my AU - that largely just exists in my head and is in no way coherent - where Cruxis runs the mafia plus the cops, and in that AU it's "currently" more like. Botta making a big show of being Irresistable™ and, frankly, fucking around lmao. While he is definitely crushing HARD on Yuan. And they're both hot messes and can't properly communicate their feelings, so everyone has to suffer the bickering of "You kinda looked jealous just now~~" - "THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOUR FUCKING EYES THEN" and silently wishes that one of them FINALLY bends the other over a desk so everyone will have peace again. (They're still best buddies, of course. Even with the bickering.) So. I'd say No to Established Relationship for this specific work, but something like Mutual Pining if you squint. Hehe.
