Chapter Text
Marinette leaned back on her chair, it was the first day of December which also meant the first day of Christmas spirit. Usually she would have made a gift for Adrien 5 weeks before Christmas, but honestly, she has been way too tired to make a gift.
“Alright class, since it is the first day of December I thought we should take a break day, only because you all did so well in your last test.” Ms bustier said, grabbing a sheet of paper from behind her.
“Here is an example of what we are doing today,” Ms. Bustier said, showing the paper around the class, it was a letter, starting with Dear —, and ending with, from your —--. “ Ok so its a simple letter that you have to write to a friend, family member, or maybe even crush.” Ms Bustier said, winking on the last part. She went over to Sabrina and asked her to give out the sheets of paper.
Marinette brought her head down to her arms. She wasn't ready for a letter, who would she even write it to. She's trying to get over Adrien so not him, Alya and Nino will write to each other. Kim and Alix will be competing to get the best letter, Ivan and Mylene will write to each other. No one cares about Lila, Sabrina will write to Chloe, Juleka and Rose to each other, and Chloe will write to Adrien. She doesn't need to write to anyone else.
Marinette sighed, she rubbed her eyes trying to rid herself of the sleep that was slowly becoming more and more as the minutes went on and on. Sabrina placed a paper on her desk. Marinette looked at the paper trying to think of something. Soon she decided she was going to write to her parents, easy and simple.

The next day Marinette walked into the classroom to see everyone hovered over her desk. She raised an eyebrow as she walked towards them.
“What's going on?” She said out loud, not really aimed towards anyone. Adrien turned around, a grin plastered on his face.
“Seems like someone gave you a love letter.” He smiled as he grabbed the letter and gave it to Marinette.
The letter everyone was looking at was in an envelope, the front of it saying “To Marinette, from your secret admirer."
"Woah Marinette, it seems like someone likes you," Kim says, wiggling his eyebrows.
Marinette rolled her eyes as she opened the envelope. She took the piece of paper out, and started to inspect it. She wasn't reading it, instead she was trying to figure out the handwriting, she wanted to know who it was from and by doing that she needed clues, a quote straight from Alya. After a minute Marinette gave up trying to find the handwriting and just started reading the letter.
It read
Dear Marinette Dupain-Cheng,
I know I should probably be sending this letter during Valentines but I'm too impatient for that, so I'm going to send it now, this is my first time ever doing this, and I don't want to be cheesy so here it goes, I know we don't get along and that's my fault, but I can't help being jealous of you, of how your eyes shine when a ray of light hits your face, or how your smile literally makes everyone so happy, how you always see the best in people, it's hard to not be jealous, but it's even harder trying not to be in love with you.
From Your Secret Admirer.
Marinette started at the paper longer than she needed to.
"So much for trying not to be cheesy" Marinette laughed as she folded the paper back into the envelope, she looked up to see everyone staring at her.
"What?" Marinette said with a confused tone.
"What do you mean what, read the letter out loud!" Alya said reaching for the envelope
Marinette took a step back and held the letter high.
"It's just a love letter, I don't even know the person who sent it." Marinette said as she stuffed the letter into her bag and sat down at her desk.
Kim sighed and handed 5 dollars to Alix.
"Told you she wouldn't care" Alix said with a smirk plastered on her face. Marinette glared at the her two classmates.
It wasn't that she didn't care, it's just that she didn't know who sent it, inside she was very flattered. It honestly sounded like something Cat Noir would say. Well something he would say to Ladybug at least.
"Who do you think sent it dudette?" Nino asked.
"Don't know" Marinette replied as she closed her eyes and rested her head on the table.
Suddenly a snicker was heard from across the room, Marinette brought her head up to meet Chloe's eyes.
"Have something to say Chloe?" Marinette asked with a glare. Chloe stayed silent for a bit, but she never broke eye contact with Marinette. She kept it up, until the bell rang.
"No.." Chloe mumbled as she turned away, finally breaking the eye contact.
Marinette was surprised, usually Chloe would say something mean or start talking about how much better she is than Marinette . Marinette didn't dwell on the thought too much, opting on paying attention to what Ms. Bustier was saying instead.

“Gotcha”
Cat Noir and Ladybug once again defeat another akuma.
“Bye bye little butterfly” Ladybug said as she watched the butterfly slowly fly away.
“Well that was easy,” Cat Noir said as he landed next to Ladybug. “What did you think, M'lady?” He said with a grin.
“I agree, Monarch must be having trouble finding people with negative emotions with it being the start of December and all.” Ladybug said before throwing her lucky charm up to the sky.
Cat nodded before bringing his fist towards Ladybug. Ladybug smiled bringing her own fist up.
“Pound It!” They said in unison.
“Can you handle the press this time, I gotta run.” Cat said with a pleading look.
“Well I have about 4 minutes,” Ladybug said.
“I promise I'll make it up to you” Cat Noir said, bringing his hands together.
Ladybug bit her lip looking around seeing Nadja Chamack and her crew running towards them. Ladybug hesitantly nodded.
“Thanks bug” Cat quickly says as he jumps off.
Ladybugs sighs as she cracks her neck before quickly smiling towards Nadja and the camera crew.
It was the usual questions at first, asking if she was any closer to defeating Monarch, or if she was ever going to reveal her identity. And she answered them all with same simple answers as always.
“Do you have a lover?”
Ladybug was immediately caught off guard as this was not a usual question, she looked up seeing it wasn't Nadja, but some random girl who had asked.
Ladybug furrowed her eyebrows before hearing her earring beeping.
“Sorry but I gotta run, it was nice talking to you all, have a nice day.” Ladybug said getting her yo-yo ready, Nadja always knew when to back off when asking questions and would always turn off her cameras when Ladybug left. But this time would be different, oh how different it would be.
The new girl grabbed Ladybugs arm, which caught the poor superhero so off guard that she fell backwards from the sudden feeling.
“Turn off the Cameras” Nadja said quickly, but the new girl glared at the crew.
“Listen Ladybug, y'know that its ok to like someone right?” The new girl said speaking into the microphone before shoving it towards Ladybug, who had already gotten up.
Ladybug eyebrow's furrowed once again, who the heck did this girl think she is. It was her own personal life, she didn't need to answer anything. Ladybug glared at the girl hearing her earrings ring again.
2 more minutes.
“I don't feel comfortable answering that question” Ladybug said in an angry tone.
“But you do know that it's ok to like someone right?”
“Obviously why wouldn't it be?” Ladybug said confused, who the hell was this girl.
“Well I just thought that you would never let yourself get vulnerable, I just wanted to let you know that it's ok” The girl said with a smirk. Clearly wanting a reaction from the superhero.
Ok that didn't even make any sense, who would think that wasn't ok, why was this girl so into her personal life. Marinette thought to herself, ignoring her earring beeping once again.
1 minute left.
Marinette opened her mouth to reply when suddenly a figure went in between her and started talking with the girl.
“Psh obviously Ladybug’s knows that” Ladybug could recognize that voice from anywhere.
“We should be talking about my love life instead, not stupid Ladybug’s” Chloe said turning her head towards ladybug giving her a little wink, signaling that it was time to leave.
Ladybug quickly took that as her que and started to unwind her yoyo before throwing it and jumping away.
Ladybug landed in an ally way right before she transformed back.
“Woah that was a real close one, you were lucky to have Chloe there” Tikki said landing on Marinette's palm.
"Psh I could've handled that on my own," Marinette dismissed with one hand, before looking down and sighing "but I guess I do owe Chloe one." She said before walking off starting a new conversation with Tikki.

Marinette walked into class once again to see everyone around her desk. This time with Adrien holding a flower and a envelope out of literally everyone's reach.
"Guys we shouldn't open it. It's for Marinette and only Marinette what happens if there are some really private like memories here." Adrien said trying to come up with an excuse to get everyone to leave him alone with the letter. Marinette smiled warmly at this, at least Adrien was kind enough not to read the letter out loud.
"Thank you Adrien." Marinette said out loud surprising everyone. Adrien smiled at the appearance of her friend and quickly walked towards her handing her a single flower and the new letter.
"Seems like the letters are going to be a frequent thing" Adrien grinned before walking towards his own desk mumbling apologies to everyone because he didn't open the letter.
Marinette carefully opened the envelope, taking out the letter and a small Keychain. It had her initials written on a heart with a little ladybug Keychain next to that Keychain. Marinette's heart slowly sank.
She quickly scanned over the letter.
It read.
Dear Marinette.
My last letter was embarrassing but then again I hope you liked it. But I'm trying again now.
I hate how even in both your identity's I can't seem to get your attention the way I want too, in one your too busy fighting, then again I love the way you concentrate on helping others, in the other you're too busy designing, and anytime I try, I mess up and say the wrong thing. This time though I won't mess up, I'll confess to you. I promise

Marinette's eyes widened at the letter, not because of the writing that actually might've made her smile, but at the fact that her secret admirer knew who she was.
"What's it say on the back" Alya said as she tried to get closer to the back of the letter. Marinette quickly hid it from Ayla's gaze as she turn her back towards her classmates, she turned the letter over and read what it said

Yes I know you are ladybug, duh.
Now with it now being confirmed, Marinette sighed bringing her hands up to her face as she groaned in frustration. How could she be so stupid to let someone find out she was Ladybug.
“Everything ok?” Alya asked as she walked up behind Marinette.
“Just peachy” Marinette mumbled as slowly folded the piece of paper and put it into her pocket.

“Heard that chole saved you from the press bug” Cat said as he ate another grape.
“Hardly.” Ladybug grumbled crossing her arms.
“Are you mad?” Cat said, raising an eyebrow.
“Someone found out about my identity”
Cat Noir’s eyes went wide.
“I, woah, I mean that's uh um that's crazy, I mean like that sucks.” Chat mumbled looking away.
Ladybug look at him, focusing on how he was acting. That's when it clicked in her head. The way the flirting was in the letter, the way he didn't know how to respond, it all kind of made sense.
“You know who it is,” Ladybug said standing up.
“What!? What do you mean.” Cat Noir squeaked as he backed up from Ladybug.
Ladybug grabbed him from the collar.
“You also know my identity,” Ladybug whispered, she thought for a second before tightening her grip on Cat Noir.
“Who is it? I know you know so don't try to lie.” Ladybug said glaring at Cat Noir.
Cat noir sighed before letting his head fall backward.
“ It's Chloe, Chloe is your secret admirer.” Cat Noir said with a guilty expression. Though he had a small smile on his lips.

Ladybug landed right outside of Chloe's window to see the queen herself trying to make a paper crown.
“Why isn't this working?” Chloe grumbled as she paused the video for the 500th time that night.
“Well maybe because you chose the one that is literally the most annoying crown to make with sticky notes, also you folded the right one wrong.” Ladybug said as she sat down on the bed next to Chloe.
“ Oh shoot your right.” Chloe said as she fixed the right sticky note.
“So is that for me” Ladybug asked as she stretched.
“It's for Marinette.” Chloe mumbled.
Chloe kept on working on the crown. Before she slowly started to think about the girl in the room, Ladybug, then Marinette, then the conversation. Ladybug/ Marinette is in her room, asking who the crown she is making is for, and she answered that it's for Marinette which is also her.
“OH MY GOSH” Chloe shouted as she made eye contact with an amused Ladybug.
“Y’know for someone who likes me, it sure took you a bit to actually look at me, usually if you like someone you would look at them any chance you got.” Ladybug said winking at the end.
Chloe blushed a deep red looking away from ladybug.
“Ridiculous utterly ridiculous.” Chloe mumbled still not facing Ladybug.
“Honestly I'm flattered at the fact that you have a crush on me.” Ladybug said pointing at herself.
“The letter were dumb.” Chloe mumbled
“I liked them, I'm guessing you took flirting advice from Cat huh?” Ladybug said laughing.
“Shut up, I should've never took his stupid advice.” Chole said dragging her hands down her face as she laid down on her bed.
“Well you got me interested, but I'm not just gonna like you just like that, but i hope you prove me wrong.” Ladybug said as she grabbed Chloe's hand kissing the top before walking towards the window and jumping away.

“I cant believe I just did that” Ladybug said cringing at herself.
“Don't worry about it bug, i thought it was cute.”
“YOU thought that because YOU do it all the time” Ladybug said glaring at Cat Noir.
Cat Noir smiled rolling his eyes as he grabbed some popcorn from the bowl. The next few day days are going to be real funny.
