Daisy scowled as she looked at the bare shelf. The assortment of board games that normally filled it had been pulled down as she searched for the ouija board. It had been there just a month or two ago, she remembered hiding Settlers of Catan behind it so the SHIELD fam wouldn’t have a repeat of the last disastrous game night. She looked down at the stack of games then back to the closet as if the ouija board might magically appear.
Still nothing.
Hoping down from the chair she had been standing on, Daisy pulled out her phone and replied to Jemma’s text.
Mine is also missing. Have you asked Mack and Elena if they have one?
Unlikely since Mack hated tempting the supernatural but if anyone might still have one it would be them.
There was no proof that Robbie had somehow managed to steal everyone’s ouija board, security cameras and nosy neighbors hadn’t caught anything, but no one else had such a loathing for the game. And despite his protests that he couldn’t turn invisible or walk through walls, he was still the Ghost Rider, he had to have some kind of ghost-like trick.
Her phone dinging gave Daisy an excuse to shove the games haphazardly back into the closet before reading that she had been right about Mack’s distaste for ouija boards.
Robbie smiled as he dropped another ouija board on top of the stack of them in his closet. This year he was making sure there would be no ouija board mishaps, mischief, or mayhem. He probably wasn’t going to get a nice quiet Halloween, there was always some supernatural crap that needed the Rider’s attention, but he could avoid at least one predictable source of trouble.
