Chapter Text
Cale woke up in a cold yet familiar place, the place which reminded him of the time he found hope for the first time in a long while.
Dark. It was dark everywhere. Cale's eyes got adjusted to the darkness after a moment and it..did look familiar.
The shabby brick walls, the rainwater dripping from the equally shabby roof, it reminded him of the time he first met Lee Soo Hyuk.
However this place was different, Cale was inside a small metal prison, his feet chained with metal chains.
Clunk! Clunk!
In at attempt to try and break the chains, he moved his leg around when his foot hit something soft.
"Ow..." He heard a child's voice.
"Your....highness?" Cale hesitantly called out to the unknown figure in bewilderment.
"....Cale?" The unknown figure, Alberu asked back.
"Yes it is me your highness, the sun of the empire and the light that is always shini-"
"Shut it, why are you...a child?"
"Huh? your highness have you seen yourself?"
According to Cale's judgement, Alberu looked like a kid roughly On's age.
'Oh, so that's why i thought it was oddly too quiet, Raon isn't here.' Cale thought with a bit of sadness.
"Your highness, by any chance did you make a deal with the Sun God?" Cale asked with caution.
"No? i just found myself here, you seem to know something."
Cale thought back to his time in the cold, uncomfortable darkness he was in before getting teleported here,
Flashback
Cale glared with annoyance at the equally annoying entity, well all he could do was glare after all.
The annoying entity, The Sealed God, curved his eyes like crescent moons.
"Last time, those nosy Gods helped you out but however this time, no one can save you, Cale Henituse." The God said while laughing.
Cale wanted to at least curse the bastard but couldn't do so as soon his body started disintegrating into dust.
"Good luck my child, i hope you call me for help" The God said excitedly....in a creepy voice.
Cale, cursing with his eyes, at last managed to squeeze a "Fuck you-."
End of flashback
"So you're saying the motherfucking God of Despair had you take another one of his bullshit tests again?" Alberu sighed with annoyance.
Cale thought seeing the usually majestic Alberu curse was an amusing sight however he knew it was not the time for that,
"Yes your highness, it's exactly as you say."
Alberu sighed once again,
"Scratch that, where even are we?"
"It looks like some sort of prison, your highness."
Crackle! Crackle!
"I can use my powers just fine unlike the previous test" Cale stated while melting the chains binding him.
"I can also feel dead mana running vigorously through me" Alberu said while observing the red thunderbolt in the dark room.
"Let's figure stuff out after we get out of here, your highness." Cale suggested.
Alberu agreed "Let's do that."
Cale and Alberu slowly crept out of the metal prisons without making noise and opened the door.
Cale shut his eyes because of the light after exiting the dark room.
"You!-" Cale heard a man shout at them.
"What are these kids doing here?!"
He tried grabbing them, however cale skillfully dodged the man using his wind ancient power.
"What's going on here?! Can't you see i am doing delicate work over here, you bufoon?!" An old man yelled.
"Eek-! Dr. Eredith! These kids escaped from the prison, i was trying to catch them!" The man pleaded.
"You can't even keep an eye on a bunch of kids? you useless idiot!" Dr. Eredith scolded the man angrily,
"Catch them!"
"Hyung..." Cale whispered in a serious tone,
"That child."
"These monsters.." Alberu cursed under his breath.
On the table behind Dr. Eredith lied a child, with hands, legs and head tied to the table.
The child was shaking frantically, with his eyes rolled back.
"Haa..another failure! Dammit!" Dr. Eredith cried out in anger,
"Whatever you two are still left, the amount i spent on you surely wont disappoint me".
He exclaimed with greed visible in his eyes.
"Grab them!" Dr. Eredith ordered.
just as the buff man, supposedly a bodyguard was about to grab them, strong wind started blowing.
"I was just tracking leads to the case on child experiments...but i didn't think I'd find you here" The unknown black haired man, who was wearing a dark green suit, coldly said,
"Dr. Eredith, How dare you do these dirty things in Shinhwa territory"
"You-! You're Inhyuk Goo!" Dr. Eredith said while condensing black powers on his hands,
"Die!"
The condensed power shot out rapidly towards the man named Inhuk Goo.
"Haa" The man, unfazed, just sighed.
He then lead the wind around him in his hand and suddenly it all burst out.
"S-spatial isolation!" Dr. Eredith exclaimed, less confident than before.
Inhyuk Goo then looked in Cale and Alberu's direction,
'Those kids..what did these monsters do to them.'
He thought while writhing in fury.
Then suddenly, wind surrounded Cale and Alberu making them unable to see the fight.
After a while of hearing screams, something falling on concrete and well mostly wind, their vision was finally restrored, however this time instead of the man named Inhyuk Goo, there was a student wearing a high school uniform, looking worridely at them.
'What is up with this kid?' Cale thought while giving Alberu a confused look.
"You're safe now! You don't have the worry anymore. The kid beamed at them.
"Jiwoo thanks for tagging along with me." Inhyuk Goo said while smiling.
"No problem Mr. Inhyuk." The kid, Jiwoo said happily.
"Hey there children, that must've been quite a scare, we're going to our headquarters next, you'll be safe there." Inhyuk Goo said warmly.
"Mr. Inhyuk but did you bring a car?"
"Oops.."
Cale sighed inwardly, this is gonna be a long trip.
