Eleven years of desperation, Eleven years of being kidnapped and held in a single room. It was a traumatic experience that even the thought of it is disturbing for normal people but he lived in that trauma. you would have thought that after being saved he was finally free , but little did everyone know, more then the thought of losing his childhood he was more broken at losing his built childhood that he had in that room. He was more lost than the sun of his life for 11 years , but now was replaced with a shining circle in the sky, he was more desperate for the warm hug that sent him to sleep for 11 years now has changed to a cold pillow. And he was more frustrated to get others to believe him about the smiley ball of sunshine. His parents, such a strange thing to call them he wasn't used to it, tried their best to make him forget about the past and make a new life for him, but who said he wanted to forget the past? If he did who would remember Sunoo? If he forgets about Sunoo who would know that a boy named Sunoo ever exists? He couldn't possibly forget him , if he did he would have broken his promise. Even though he was free , now he was the target of the media. Lots of people would surround his house to ask him questions or interview him. Of course he hid from them he wasn't used to being crowded by lots of people. His parents decided to move to the countryside for a while to live with his grandparents so he could focus on recovering. He has attended several mental therapy sessions, to help him move on and help him with his puzzled mind. They tried to make him more social to talk with. But it wasn't easy for him. Whenever he was faced with new people he would get anxious to the point of biting and gnawing his nails and fingers. But they said people get used to new things after some time and he just needs some time. It took 2 years for him to be more comfortable in the outside world. Yeah just like that two years have passed. Two years of him attending therapy sessions and trying to make a new life and face the different aspects of life. Two years of struggling to make communication with people. After two years of trying to blend in with the family, he found out of the blue after eleven years.
Now he was a bit different from the boy that had survived a traumatic event two years ago. When he was saved two years ago , he was lost , he was scared of the world that he wished for it for 11 years. He wasn't close to his mother that his 8 years old self cried all night to see her again. He didn't feel anything for the man that was his dad. You need to give it to him being kidnapped and held for 11 years had faded the relationship that once he had with his family and exactly when he was creating another bond with his sun they took it from him again. But now after two years of spending time going to mental therapy had helped him a lot to change. He was comfortable in the room of his family. They spoiled him a lot with hugs and kisses from time to time. He was able to make a friend during his therapy sessions. A girl named Layla struggled mentally because of losing some of her dear friends in a car accident but she wasn't depressed. At first, they didn't talk to each other but as time passed by they found themselves sitting down with each other during lunch time and speaking with one another. From time to time he would be hospitalized to be under care for a week before going home again. But not all things were perfect. He had nightmares some nights. About his sunshine. He hadn't forgotten about him. After these two years they told him he must have been hallucinating about Sunoo, And when he told them about the letter they said it is possible for some people to write things while hallucinating and think the person in their mind has written it. But of course he didn't care about the bullshit they were giving him. He knew Sunoo was real and alive but he played along with them and act like they were right about him imagining things. Today was his birthday and also Sunoo's birthday. When he woke up he wore a green woven sweatshirt with withe jeans and he warped a blur muffler around his neck. He picked up his shoulder bag and head out of the house. The city was small and little amount of people lived in it that everyone knew each other and was placed near the sea . It had been easier for him to go outside by himself now. He bought a small cake and then started walking to the sea . It was 20 minutes far from Walking. To his relief When he arrived no one was there so he sat down on the beach and placed the cake on his lap. He stared at the water and remembered something:

" Hoon hyung is this sea?!!"
Sunoo said with excitement. Running toward him with the book in his hand. He sat down near Sunghoon on the bed.
" Yeah if I remember it right I went to the beach one time"
" REALLY?! HOW IS IT ? IS IT FUN??"
he said loudly. Sunghoon chuckled at the sight of him.
" Calm down Sunoo-ya . I don't remember the feeling but yeah I think it was fun."
He then sighed and laid flatted on Sunghoon's lap.
"I want to see the sea as well it must be fun"
He said while pouting.
"If one day we get out of here we will go together okay?"
By that Sunoo jumped and looked at him , his eyes shining.
"You promise????"
"Yup"
I said while ruffling his hair .he hugged me tight while laying down again
"You promised"

- Sunoo-ya I came to the beach again on our birthday. I'm sorry that you couldn't come with me again this year.
A tear fell from his eyes.
- but I'm waiting for you we can come here again next year, right?
I bought a cake that you always wished to have for your birthday.
He paused for a bit and then smiled
- it's our birthday let's not cry. I will eat this instead of you but you can have it next year. Let's dig in.
With that he started to eat the cake .
- you would have loved this flavor it's so delicious. I'll make sure to buy it for you next year okay?
After some time of sitting down and looking at the sea his phone rang.
-Sunghoon dear where are you? Are you at the beach again?
- yeah mom. Don't worry.
- my sweet boy, today you need to go to the hospital do you remember?
-yaeh.
- great after that come back home we want to celebrate your birthday. Love you
- okay mom , love you bye.
It wasn't simple for him to show affection toward his family but he tried his best and they knew it as well.
He stand up and went to the hospital. He knocked on the door.
-come in . Oh hi Sunghoon come and sit.
He sat down on the armchair .
- How are you doing today?
- I'm doing fine .
- nice to hear . So tell me what were you been up to ?
- today it's my birthday so I went to the beach before coming here.
- did you go alone?
- yeah . It's more comfortable now.
- that's a good improvement. How about people, do you speak with them?
- yeah but the minimum.
- that's okay . It needs time to get used to talking about yourself with other people.
She smiled while right down at her notebook.
- So how are your sleeping habits? Do still have trouble sleeping?
I nodded.
-And did you take your medicines this week?
- yeah I didn't miss one.
- that's good.
The therapy continued like this for an hour.
- ok you can go now. Be sure to take medicine ok?
I nodded and went out. Instead of heading back home I tried to find Layla . To no surprise she was sitting in front of the TV in the hospital's hall. I sit next to her.
- done with your session?
-yeah , you are hospitalized this week?
She looked at me like I asked the stupidest question ever.
- boy I'm in hospital clothing isn't it obvious?
I didn't say anything and was laid back.
-so lonely boy , what's up with you today? You are acting up again.
- nothing.
- so you are thinking about your lover again. But you can't just tell me he is your lover unless you had kissed him, you need to kiss him to call him that ,so have you kissed him?

Sunghoon sighed while smiling a bit. Yeah Layla's craziness in his life is too much but he enjoys her company. And the reason was that Layla was the only one that believed him
- today was the day I lost him and yeah I kissed him today two years ago.
- such a drama. Two lovely birds share a special Frist kiss together. Maybe that's why you can't get him out of your mind... What if I kiss you then you won't only have just one kiss.
My eyes widened and almost choked on my saliva but before I could say something she made a disgusted face and add
- no even thinking about it make me wanna puke on your face .

She shrugged.
- that's why I'm here
We sat and talked for a bit before heading back home. His parents had decorated the home and his grandma had prepared lots of dishes with different food. He tried to be energetic to make him happy. He knew they tried their best for him so this was the least he could do for them. When the celebration was ended he went to his room and lay in bed when the door of his room opened slowly.
- Sung are you awake?
He heard his old grandma's voice. He sat down on the bed.
- yeah come in. She entered and sat down on the bed.
She took his hands into her own.
- did you go to the beach again?
He nodded.
"Why? Do you like the sea a lot?" He wasn't sure if he should tell her the truth or not. Because no one believes him.
" I promised to show him. The sea"
I said without too much thinking.
" So that's why you always go there" she said maliciously. " You know me and your grandfather also loved the beach . We always went there every weekend"
She stayed silent for some seconds before letting out her breath
" So I never asked you this. Was he beautiful?"
I was taken back by her question and looked at her with wide eyes

- of course I did but stayed silent since the doctor is the think that is the best. How can I doubt my little puppy?
She said smiling while patting my cheek.
- so tell me about him.
I was happy that I heard those things.
-his name is Sunoo. He didn't have a name at first so I called him that. He was so clumsy at first. Granny you don't know how much he is adorable his eyes sparkle and his smile is warm like the sun.
Before I could notice I started rambling about him and when I noticed I stopped talking and said " sorry" shyly.
" No no continue, it's the first time I have seen you talk happily and so much "
That night we spent the whole night together talking with other and sharing some stories together.
The next days passed by normally. He attended the therapy sessions and study a bit. He wasn't fond of studying he likes reading books but he doesn't like it when he needs to learn something mandatory. But it was needed for him to study so he could find something to do in the future. it was when he was passing by a cafe when he suddenly heard the sound of the TV and it catches his attention. He felt his body frozen in his place. His eyes lingered on the monitor listening to the news that was airing on the TV.
" Two days ago police's investigations led to some forgotten proofs about a case that has been closed for two years"
" The police were able to find some possible tracks of the fugitives criminals and after following the clues they have been arrested by the police. It was shocking news to the majority of the medicine to know two of the best doctors were involved in the horrible crimes. "
He ft shivers all our his body. The picture of the ones who turned his life into hell was shown on the monitor.
" 13 years ago , the two suspects had attempted to kidnap a 7 years old boy and had held him for experimenting on the human's mind and body for 11 years! D.Kim and D.Yun had confessed their crimes. Earlier D.Kim's ex-wife the CEO of the Hanli hospital added that she had no idea about his ex-husband's crime and two years ago due to personal reasons they got divorced and had been living with his son from then. "
Everything was too much for him. Too much information. He felt his knees trembling.
" D.Kim and her ex-wife D.sim's personal life has been under the eyes of the internet for the past hours showing their interest in the newly introduced son to the public. D.sim said in her defense that he didn't want his son Kim Hyunwo who is suffering from health issues to be introduced into the public and media and have a normal life far from the news. She added two years ago after getting divorced he brought his son to stay at her hospital since his health has worsened. They still insisted on protecting the image of his son and asked for the media to put his son aside from the upcoming issues."
He felt his phone ranging. He answered it. His hands were as cold as ice.
- Hoon dear where are you?
He could feel the concern in his mother's voice.
-mom..the news
He heard a sigh on the other side of the phone
- come back Hoon police are here they need to talk with you.
After that, he didn't know how he went back home. He didn't notice the concerned eyes of his family he didn't know when he entered the car and headed to the city and he didn't know how he ended up sitting in front of the devil of his life in the investigation room.
- Sunghoon shi do you want me to leave you alone?
The police asked and I shake my head" no please stay"
After that I stared at the man in front of me there were lots of things I wanted to ask him . Why the hell he kidnapped him? Why did he take him away from his family? Why him? Why did they choose him? Why him? But the only thing that slipped into his mouth was "where is Sunoo?" They looked at him

- don't act , tell me where is my Sunoo?
He knew his voice was trembling he was on the edge of crying tears filled his eyes.
-there was no one beside you
- PLEASE.. tell me.. please . You know it well it wasn't just me there . What did you do to him ? Where is he ?!
- Sunghoon shi please calm down.
- how can I? You weren't the one imprisoned for 11 years in a room with only one person to come out and everyone tells you that person doesn't exist!!
The pitiful looks in the officer's eyes didn't help him he was devastated he didn't need pity he just wanted to know where his Sunoo was. So he fell to his knees. Tears come down his face.

His voice started fading away.
He felt hands around his shoulder getting him up and leading him out of the room.he sat down outside on the chair to get some fresh air. While his parents were busy with the police his phone ranged .
- hey lonely boy.
- Layla I'm not..
- I know what happened I'm not calling to annoy you.
I sighed
-Layla I think I'm going crazy he said no one was there, only me and myself.
- bitch you don't expect them to confess to doing a test on another human being when there is no proof do you?

- of course they won't say it it will be added to their punishment. There is no proof they have kidnapped another boy there is no missing notice about another boy about the sunshine of your life you have described.

- they have never kidnapped someone else..Duh?

I hung up. Anxious about the things I heard so I didn't let any other seconds and run to the first taxi I see.
- Hanli hospital please.
He was nervous . How he should see the boy? Would they let him that easily? What if they don't let him ? What if he is wrong and the boy isn't Sunoo? After minutes that felt like minutes he finally arrived in front of the hospital. After paying the driver he run to the hospital but before he could enter his clothes from behind were pulled harshly , stopping him. He turned back to his surprise there was Layla in a green sweater and baggy jeans standing in front of him. It was the first time he had seen her with makeup and hair done.
-what are you doing he-
His voice stuck in his throat as a hard smack welcomed his head.
-OUCH!
- that's for hanging up on me before I'm done. And to answer your question I came here before calling you because I know you need my help to meet that boy.

She took my hand and drugged me aside.
- here was this jacket.

We went inside
- hello , we are here to see Kim Hyunwo
The nurse looked us up and down

She pushed her hair back. And put on some act

She took me and entered the elevator. After the door closed she sighed.
- ah it was hard but I think she was new in the hospital we were lucky.
- what are you going to do I'm sure there are lots of nurses up there.

He did as he was told writing a text message to the detective that handled the case this past two years " I think I found Sunoo . I need help please come quickly . Hanli hospital room 456 , 4th floor" . He clicks the send button and put the phone inside his pocket.
The sound of the elevator let us know that we are on the 4th floor now. After exiting the elevator we looked up the room numbers in the hallways after some time I was able to catch the 456 number on of the doors a bit far at the end of the hallway.
-that's the room! But there are lots of nurses what should we do ?
- leave that to me . When I distract them you go and check ok?
I nodded and watched her going into the opposite hallway and suddenly falling down on the floor starting to ask for help while panting . I laughed at her dramatic acting She could easily become an actor . Fortunately she got the attention of the nurse since they rushed to her . While they were busy with Layla , Sunghoon got the opportunity and sneaked into the hallway quickly before someone could stop him. He stood in front of the door his heart pounding loudly that he could feel it in his mouth. Hands froze like ice and shaking from anxiousness . He gripped the door handle and pushed it slowly , entering the room. His breath hitched for a second he couldn't move. He knew it he knew that Sunoo
Wasn't just someone in his mind. He felt a tear on his cheeks. He took a step forward.
- sunoo ya..
He whispered barely hearing his own voice.
-what are you doing here!
Heard a woman's voice he turned around and panicked.
- get out of the room.
The woman almost the same age as her mother wearing a white . She pulled his arms harshly trying to get him out.
- let me go!
He pulled back freeing his hand from her hold.
- I'm not going anywhere! I won't leave my Sunoo.
She was somehow furious but you could also see the fear in her eyes.
- what are you talking about? Who the hell is Sunoo? Get out of my son's room.
- Sunoo! Wake up and open your eyes!
He shouted in hopes of getting the laying boy awake but his tries were to no avail. His body stumbled and pushed him out of the room.
- get out before I call the guards on you. Who do you think you are?
- who am I?! Who you are? Don't act like your husband didn't do shit on me and Sunoo!!
- keep your voice down.
- what did you do to Sunoo why he isn't awake?
- I don't know what are you talking about get out of here .
After some time some nurses came .
- I have called the guards dr.Kim .
- I will not leave here .
- Sunghoon.
He heard Layla standing beside him looking at him with anticipation and asking questions with her eyes. He knew what she was waiting for so he nodded so she stepped up.
- we are not going anywhere. He is the boy whose his life into was destroyed by your husband and the boy in the room was the one with him all that years.
I knew she was panicking but she tried to keep herself calm
- I'm sorry about what happened but I'm no longer his wife and that boy is my son. So please get out of here both of you.
- I will not..
Before he could finish he felt hands around his arms trying to drag him out of the there

He and Layla tried to get out.
- what's going on here?!
To Sunghoon's relief he heard the detective's voice coming there with two cops.
He stood there showing his ID, and introducing himself.
- I'm detective park , I have been informed about the possibility of finding the missing suspect in a case in the hospital. I would be happy if you cooperate with us.
- do you have permission? Who do you guys think you are coming here to my hospital and making a fuss HUH?
- please ma'am we don't need to make a sense and about the permission..he should be here in minutes.
Soon after a young man came running holding a paper.
- here sir!
He got the paper from the man open it and after reading it for a short time he got it in front of her face.
- we got the official permission to search here any attempts of getting in the way will have serious consequences. Now please release him.
The guards let go of their hands hesitantly.
- thanks for cooperating.
He then nodded his head and two police went to look into the room.
He took him aside.
- Sunghoon are you sure that he is the one you always talk about?
- yes I am.
he sighed deeply. " I hope so if not I will be deep in trouble"
He then entered the room as well followed by Dr.kim. she stayed at back . They didn't let Sunghoon to get inside so he sit on their waiting anxiously while he was been comforted by Layla.

- I don't understand what's going on. My son is so sick and you are invading his privacy.
Detective park didn't mind her at all and stood by Sunoo's bed who was laying down unconsciously.
- he is under medication he won't be awake any time soon.
The younger detective who earlier showed up running all the stairs up , said while checking the list of his medicines. He came and near detective park showing him something
" But isn't this much of medical peels too much of a dose in a day?"
After that Dr.kim got flustered.
- he is very sick so he needs more of..
- they don't give a sick a person more than a necessary dose of anesthetic. Please leave the room so we can do our work.
He then pointed at the police officer to escort her out of the room.
- we need to wait for the boy to gain consciousness...

Almost two hours has been passed but the boy didn't show any signs of waking up. Sunghoon could feel his nerves becoming worse every second that it passed. Everyone was just waiting for their tired. The door of the room suddenly opened.
- he is awake!
Detective park sighed and got up from his place.
- come in Sunghoon .
He was afraid to get in the room he was finally going to his Sunoo. Will he remember me? He will right? His hands felt so cold . He went inside staying at back followed by Dr.kim who wasn't in a better situation.
He saw his Sunoo. Still laying down. His hazy hazel eyes were open .
- Kim Hyunwo can you hear my voice?
You could say that he was confused , scared to be exact.
- I'm not here to hurt you in any chance we have just some questions to ask? .. Sunghoon comes here.
Hearing his name he stepped out and stopped next to the bed.
- do you by any chance know this person?
His eyes finally lingered on Sunghoon's. He felt his heart skipped a beat for a second. It seems like he was still observing the situation after some minutes of silence suddenly tears perks the corner of his eyes. He opened his mouth trying to talk but only loud sobs came out of his trembling mouth.
Sunghoon felt panic ruse through his veins . He does remember me right?

Was the only thing that the said boy was able to get out between his whimpers. But that was enough for Sunghoon to rush down and hug him tightly.
- Sunoo-ya don't cry.. please I'm here look I'm here
He felt his own tears coming down from his face.
The officers gave each other an understanding look before going and handcuffing Dr.kim
- WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
- you are allowed to stay quiet and get a lawyer to defend yourself.
-LET ME GO..
it was the last thing she said before getting out of the room. The two boys were still crying while hugging each other.
- let's get out now, we are going to have a long way week.

After doing more investigation on the case , it was blown on the internet. Everyone was once more talking about the sick thing that had been going around for almost 14 years.
By some DNA test was confirmed that Sunoo was indeed their own son which was the reason people went wild about it . Who can be that cruel to make their own kid a rat lab?
It was revealed that in the past years Sunoo was under several chemical doses which led to misfunction of some of his body parts. After getting too much of anesthetic for two years the boy was almost in a coma by being awake only for one hour a day. He was kept in the hospital room and forced to be unconscious for two years by using chemical peels. To his want he wasn't faced with lots of people so he only met the two said detectives only if Sunghoon was with him. Now every one involved in the case was arrested and going through a court of Justice in a few months.

He was sitting on the bed , back hugging Sunoo to give him more comfort . To their surprise they were a bit awkward next to each, be for the time they were separated.
Sunghoon has never seen Sunoo this weak and pale. It was hurting him to know his Sunon suffered for more than two years. He couldn't walk probably he couldn't even talk properly. The doctors said that it will take lots of time for him to recover and clean his blood from all the chemical doses.
- Sunoo ya.
-"hum"
- I miss you so much . Really . I kept my promise I didn't forget about you. We came out of there together. No one is going to separate us again no one.
He just laid back his head on Sunghoon's should and closed his eyes. He hasn't been feeling this much comfort for years. Two years ago when he suddenly opened his eyes finding himself in a new white room alone and didn't see Sunghoon there he panicked badly thrashing around but soon enough he saw two people injecting something into him which made him feel too dizzy until he would fell asleep. Whenever he woke up his dizziness made him want to vomit and he felt frightened every time an unknown person would come to inject him with some weird stuff. He pleaded every time he woke up to let him go or bring him to Sunghoon but the only thing that welcomed him was his dizziness and sore body. He lost his hope. Has Sunghoon left him alone? Where was Sunghoon? Was he also in the same situation? But he didn't have enough time to think before he went back to the darkness. But this time was different when he opened his eyes he was met with his soul. He found him. But the only thing he could do was cry. And he was sitting between Sunghoon's thigh , laid back his head and listened to his breath.
He wasn't dreaming . He was there he felt alive after two years again.

I looked at him and changed my position. I put my hands around his shoulder and put my head on his neck hugging him tightly.
- but I'm going to suffocate like this Sunoo-ya.
Even though he chuckled he hugged him back.
- I'm not going anywhere I will stay with you forever.
They stayed like that for hours not knowing that they were being watched by Sunghoon's parents who barely stopped themselves from crying.

Three weeks passed so quickly Sunoo was still under the care but they said he can go from the hospital. After some discussion he was going to stay with Sunghoon in his grandparents' house. In those three weeks he met Sunghoon parents and grandma. Same as Sunghoon he was on edge while meeting new people but he was assured by Sunghoon that it was going to be okay . He remembered the first time he stepped outside of the hospital he was amazed by his surroundings. The things that he only has seen in a book now it was infront of his eyes. Birds , trees , mountains cars and several other things. He was amazed by the big house, comfy beds and several colored clothes. But his favorite was a couple sweater that Sunghoon's grandmother has made for both of them. It was decided for them that do not encounter their case so their mental health won't be affected again. The only thing he know was that they all were sentenced to a life in prison. Sunoo didn't care about anything the only thing he cares about was that his soul was finally completed by being with Sunghoon.
It was early in the morning . They were both laying down in the bed cuddling with each other. Sunghoon was still asleep so Sunoo took his time to put his ear on Sunghoon's chest to feel his heartbeat. It made him calm and it had become his hobby to do so. He heard a knock on the door . It was Sunghoon's dad.
- kids get up and come eat breakfast.
- hooni hyung? Hyung?
-hmm?
He said with a sleepy voice.

He stood up from the bed pulling Sunghoon out of the bed . He sat down on the bed pulling Sunoo in his arm .

They both get out of bed and went down before washing up and wearing the couple sweater. It was a bit hard for Sunghoon's dad to accept their relationship but he wasn't against it everyone was pretty open about it. They hadn't had any choice because the two boys were inseparable. Always sat with other hugging each other, taking hands and literally everything and they didn't care if the others were also there.
While eating breakfast Sunghoon mentioned
- Sunny I want to bring you somewhere so after eating go wear something warm .
The boy nodded and did so after eating . Sunghoon picked up a box and after wearing a scarf and a jacket they both head out of the home.

After several minutes they finally arrived but before they could get there Sunghoon stopped him

They locked fingers with each other and Sunoo finally closed his eyes. Sunghoon guided him to the place . Sunoo could feel the wind blowing become colder and he could hear the sound of..water? Then it clicked.
He opened his eyes quickly looking at the blue ocean in front of him. He gasped excitedly jumping in his place.
- OMG OH MY GIFDDAOCIYCIY... SUNGHOON HYUNG.
Sunghoon laughed loudly at his excitement.
He placed the box down and opened it a small strawberry cake was inside it.

Before he could complete his sentence Sunoo run toward him quickly and smashed into him hugging him tightly almost making them both fall

Sunghoon laughed hugging him back then he guide Sunoo to sit on the beach. Taking out the cake he put a small candle on it . They both made a wish before blowing out the candle. It was so cold , both of their nose and eyes were red from the cold and pink blush was on Sunoo's face , so Sunoo is sensitive to the cold ' NOTED '. Sunghoon thought to himself. Nothing could explain how happy they both wear.
Sunoo looks at Sunghoon lovingly his eyes shimmering.

Sunoo said pressing their foreheads together. They locked both of their hands while sitting in front of each other. they looked into the eyes of the other before chuckling lightly. They let the wind to dance with their hair and the sea to play music for them no one can ever separate them . Sunoo leans forward connecting their lips with each other with pure love.
No one can separate them because they are each other's souls.
