Akahi didn't like being touched. Kise and Momoi liked to hug their friends, Aomine and Kuroko were often glued to each other's side, and even Murasakibara and Midorima would let themselves be hugged from time to time. But not Akashi.
He had no desire to be stuck to another person's body, to feel smothered as they wrapped their arms around him, preventing him from escaping.
Furihata was different though. Strange as it may seem, and despite the stunned looks of his friends when they witnessed it, Akashi enjoyed hugging Furihata so much he would be the first to initiate it.
