I gathered these stones for you

Work Text:

The sea reef was adorned with colorful multicolored flowers of many different shades. A huge number of corals made us sigh in admiration and wonder at the beauty of the sea world. There were all kinds of corals: yellow, red, pink, green, blue, blue. They were all different shapes and sizes, surprising and delighting with their extraordinary beauty.

Monk swam along the school of colorful fish and enthusiastically swam up to the wonders of the underwater world, scrutinizing them. He was mesmerized by this marvel. He ran his fingertips over the green algae-covered rock and, pushing off, spun in the water, merrily humming a simple tune to himself. Oh, how wonderful the sea world is!

Those quiet moments they got after a hard battle were spent by the commander exploring the aquatic beauties of the planet they were on. The soft sand rose thick with dust as he tried with childish childishness to chase after the crayfish that tried to hide from him. Abandoning this task, Monnk looked around: tall, tree-like, succulent algae towered above him and went somewhere far to the surface, blocking the rays of the sun that tried to penetrate to the bottom with their huge leaves.

A small fish swirled in a dance around the clone, flaunting its bright, intricate coloration before him. With a grin, the commander swam past her, sinking lower to the bottom. Amidst the huge colorful blast, small pebbles could be seen. Monnk stopped and looked closely: among the bright chaos he saw a beautiful yellow pebble with sharp edges. Shaking the sand, the clone easily took the precious stone out of the sandy imprisonment and began to examine it with interest.

What do you do? - asked the General, who appeared from behind him.

Monk shrieked in surprise and almost dropped the stone, which tended to slip from his hand. Turning around, the clone stared at the Nautolan. His general wore his trademark smile, one that would have blinded anyone.

Studying the world, sir," the commander replied, staring at the shimmering pebble in his hands.

His general was clearly determined to stick to it, as he usually did after every mission. Sighing, Monnk turned his back to the Jedi and, swimming a little forward, began to look around with interest for similar stones to the one in his hand. Keith Fisto watched his commander with interest and, smiling something of his own, swam over to the clone, placing his hands on Monk's shoulders. The commander flinched in surprise.

Need a hand? - With mirth in his voice and playful sparks in his eyes, the general asked.

If you wish, sir," the clone replied calmly, looking at the Jedi with sideways vision.

Returning to his original occupation, Monnk happily pulled another stone with soft facets of a purple hue from the sand. His hands left his shoulders and he heard a noise behind him. Turning his head, the commander faced the Jedi's face almost closely.

I found - his general dazzled him with his perfect smile, throwing a red stone into his palm.

Thank you, thank you," the clone said stammering, pulling away, "sir.

The General only enthusiastically began to look out for beautiful stones among the coral and sand. With a sigh, Monk's attention was drawn to a school of fish. The playful side of the commander again broke through the calm facade and he cheerfully swam to frighten the small fish. In his fascination, he didn't notice his back bumping into something, or rather, someone. When he looked up he met the eyes of the Jedi, who were staring at him with interest and amusement.

I'm sorry, General," the clone said as he floated away.
No need to apologize," Keith Fisto grinned.

Looking at the general's hands, the commander saw stones, of varying shapes and lengths, but all beautifully shiny and iridescent.

I collected these stones for you," smiled the Jedi.

Oh - Monnk was surprised - thank you - the
commander reached out and took one of the stones.
It was dark with amber overtones. Bringing this stone to the general's eyes, the clone smiled behind his helmet.

This stone looks like your eyes, General.

It's good to see the surprised look on the Jedi Master's face.
