Work Text:
The strong smell of mud, hay and rotting animal flesh filled the yard up quickly. The gross stank caught the attention of a wild, pure black boar.
Using its petite legs, he ran over to the pile of scraps that had been newly chucked.
He sniffed, getting in as much of the smell as possible from the pile of rotting food. Opening his mouth, he let out a shrill squeal, as if to laugh in joy at finding the food. Before scarfing down as much food as he can. His canine like teeth was tough, incredibly so, being able to rip and tear through the maggot-filled meats like it was nothing.
It didn’t take long for him to completely finish the pile, but he still remained hungry despite how large the pile was. He let out a low grunt, kicking some of the dirt with his hooves, before walking back into the forest. Still Very hangry.
He walked slowly, knowing there was no point in using his newly found energy from the food by running back to his little borrow.
But he, sadly, didn’t make it.
As the loud and sharp sound of a stick cracking, made him froze. Clumsily spinning around, he let out a large and sharp squeal, which turned to excessive grunting.
Which seemed too have work, as the human who hid behind the large bush, jumped out letting out a yell, as he tripped from the same stick he had snapped.
The blonde man let out a cry, way too scared of the black boar that continued to loudly grunt at him. Before rushing forward, nipping and biting at his feet (he couldn’t reach the bastards neck). For which the man screamed even louder at the pig blindly attacking him.
The blonde man, both however and surprisingly, was able to kick him off, making his way to stand before dashing back to the direction of the city from the forest. The pig let out a surprised and angry squeal, before chasing after the young man as fast as he could.
No one, be it human or not, would get away from pissing the boar off.
His hunt was suddenly stopped, as a blue butterfly dashed forward from the side of the pathway to the boar. Landing softly of his snout before flying up and landing back onto it.
He froze, the deep blue winged butterfly caught the chaotic animal off guard, before completely distracting him.
He pushed forward up in the air where the butterfly was flying, hoping to probably boink the insect with his head or to chomp on it with his teeth, not harming it or anything (at least not trying to do) but so he could play with the beautiful being for longer. But he completely missed, and not to mention that the blue butterfly simply flew up slightly higher and out of bounds of the four-legged mammal.
He snorted in anger, and not realising that he physically couldn’t, kept trying to catch the butterfly.
Finally after the 5th time, and the butterfly pretty much not moving an inch due to the fact that she didn’t need to, the stubborn boar gave up, letting a out snort due to frustration of not being able to catch the beauty.
The butterfly was very amused, though if not slightly annoyed over the fact that he never gave up and decided to fly down again and land on his nose. Before swiftly avoiding the boars tusks as he tried to chomp her again.
This time just straight up annoyed her, and she finally flew away from the annoying pig. Very much done with his presence.
The boar however, did not react kindly to her sudden withdraw from him, chasing after her to the best of his abilities but that stopped quite quickly, his energy levels that he had receive from the scraps earlier had been quickly burning his energy supplies, and he just flompt over on the side of a shady tree.
Staying there for a few minutes, before finally taking his time to leave and finally returned to his habitat for what had been planned earlier.
Once he had finally arrived the moon was out and illuminated the way for the boar to his humble abode.
Shaking off any excess dirt, he flompt on the cool grass. Sleep being the only thing on his as he quietly drifted off to the land of dreams.
…
….
There she was again, the blue butterfly. But she wasn’t a butterfly, the two identical butterflies he sore was a blue hair clip which fastened her deep black hair into two pigtails. Strangely, he knew that the butterfly was the human girl, and not the hair pin she wore, they were too bright in colour to ever be considered hers, but her eyes was the perfect shade of deep blue.
She was smiling, laughter spilling out of her soft pink lips that made him feel so fluffy inside.
He felt happy, a feeling that the boar had never really felt before excluding a mixture of pride he feels every now and again.
All of a sudden, her face changes expression, one to that of empathy and confusion, a name is brought on by her lips. “Inosuke what’s wrong” She asked.
Inosuke
.
.
.
INOSUKE, why did that name, one that he had never heard before sound so…familiar. He couldn’t tell.
He felt himself move, which confused the boar as he realized he wasn’t in his own body, the hands made it clear. He was human.
He felt his mouth open, and he spoke, slightly raspy and very low. “Its nothing!” He shouted rudely, for which the boar was slightly proud of and expecting, “I mean…nothing. You don’t always gotta be caring for me by asking stupid questions like that..Aoi”
Aoi what a pretty name.
Aoi pouted, annoyed at first at the sudden explosive rudeness she got from Inosuke, before sighing and giving him a small, but pleasant smile.
“I do this because I LOVE you Inosuke”
Before boar- Inosuke could properly react, he felt himself smile before replaying.
“And I love you too…Aoi”

The boar, now realising his name: Inosuke. Woke up with a sudden jolt and squeal, confusion now at max. before trying his best to reason with himself and calming himself down completely. And maybe a bit too much.
Deciding to not worry much about the dream/Memory from his past life (?) maybe. Instead, his eyes and mind wandered to the same butterfly, one he met yesterday and one from his dream, As she fluttered along the brightly blue and green flowers, grabbing as much pollen as she can.
In a world where soulmates exist.
