Chapter Text
"...You're not serious."
"I have never been more serious, in my life."
"Wouldn't it just be easier to-?"
A scandalised gasp came from the exceedingly eccentric [former number one hero, not that David was aware of that] man, grasping his chest like even the thought was enough to hurt him.
"How dare! To even suggest, that I would ever treat a partner with disrespect. Fake or not~!" Before he knew it, Yuuta had taken his hand pulling him closer with a florish, so close he could actually feel the words forming as if he'd spoken a solemn vow, not to mention the power behind them. The room felt a lot warmer.
"You will find, Davie, that there is no better partner than me."
The confidence in those words made him pause for a moment, and he found himself lost in those crimson waves, he wanted to turn away but the sincerity stunned him.
A million different words floated around, begging to be said, however, he found himself ignoring them all. He wanted out of this ambiguous mood, he wasn't sure what he'd ruin otherwise.
"Were you always this narcissistic?"
"It's not narcissism, if it's true~!"
