Work Text:
“Dean” Said like a meeting between old friends. The way it rolled off his tongue in such an innocent way, merely vying for his attention. The way a smile grew on his face when the other acknowledged him, only needing to hear his name to respond.
“Dean” Said like a quiet plea, begging him to talk. He shut himself off from everyone, everyone but the Angel. His Angel. The silent understanding between the two, the light touches, just enough for comfort, the small gestures of affection the human never showed others. Not like the way he showed him.
“Dean” Said in breathlessness, finally being able to say what they both knew to be true for some time now. The tight hugs, finally having said the words. The warm, passionate kisses, not filled with lust, only wanting in the most innocent of ways. The hand-holding, the oh-so-juvenile hand-holding.
“Dean” Said in need, in hunger, in want. The craving for the touch, for the warmth of his hand on his chest. Whined out as he begged for more, never getting enough of the human on his skin. The pulling him closer even though they were touching, wanting, needing to be close, closer than physically possible. The cradling of bodies, refusing to let the other go in fear of losing one another.
‘Dean” Said as a last goodbye, with the knowing this was their last moment. Each word from the Angel filled with peace, happiness in saving his Human, tranquil in knowing he would be safe now. Each word from the Human filled with sorrow, heartbreak, desolation. They finally had what they wanted for so long, only to lose it just as fast.
“Dean” Said as the light left his eyes, as the shadow crept through. Drowned out by choked sobs from the other. The warmth left his body, leaving nothing behind but a cold empty shell. Nothing but darkness, nothing but gone. The air was broken. The comfort gone. Every happy moment, every joyful evening. Gone. He was gone. His Angel, gone.
