Chapter 1: Chapter 1: First Visit

Chapter Text

Aizawa, Nemuri, and Hizashi are sitting on the sofa in front of the desk of the principal, who is enjoying his tea leisurely.

“So” the mouse starts “You went to Yokohama.”

“Yes, sir” Nemuri answers.

“You know it was dangerous, right? Not everyone returns safely.”

“There wasn't anything dangerous though,” Hizashi says, confused.

“Are you sure?” Nezu asks but starts talking before giving them a chance to answer “Since you returned fine after going there without notice I want you all to go there again to finalize a deal we are making with Port Mafia.”

“What?” they all exclaim “Why are we making a deal with the mafia?” Aizawa asks the question in their minds.

“Because the Hero Public Safety Commision wants some people that will not hesitate to kill to be around All Might as he is getting ready to retire.”

“That means they will be in school?”

“Yes. But there is more to it. They also want to keep an eye on the mafia. They can’t touch it as its leader changed and they are protecting Yokohama. Not to mention they are strong.”

“They are looking for a weakness.”

“Yes. The same goes for the mafia. They will get a once in a lifetime opportunity to spy on the heroes.”

“I see. What should we do?”

“Nothing much. You will be going there just as a formality. You will also meet the people that will be sent. Just try to enjoy the trip and have a good look inside their headquarters.”

“Yes sir” they say and get ready to get up.

“By the way you never talked about your recent adventure” Nezu stops their escape.

~Three Days Ago~

“Finally!” Nemuri yells, getting out of the train.

“We were there for only an hour” Aizawa comments.

“It doesn’t matter” she says.

“She is right. I’m starving. Let’s find somewhere to eat” Hizashi says.

“Yeah!” Nemuri cheers.

They walk in a ramen shop. It is a traditional looking place and there are few people inside. Most of them turn to look at the new people but their curious gazes turn to frowns for some reason. The only people who don't seem to mind are the two kids eating their eleventh bowls of ramen. One munching furiously and the other sipping with a smug face. They take the table next to theirs.

“Where should we go first?” Hizashi asks after they give their orders to one of the waitresses.

“Don’t know. There isn’t much knowledge about the places to sightsee in Yokohama” Nemuri says.

“Then why are we here?” Aizawa asks, seemingly done with his friend’s antics.

“For an adventure!” Nemuri cheers.

“Yeah!” Hizashi joins her “What is better than a good adventure before the new school year starts.”

“Haa! There’s no way I lost! What did you do, bastard!” they hear the redhead from the table beside them yelling to the brunette. The kids had stopped their eating competition. The brunette winning, apparently.

“I don’t need to do anything to win against someone as short as you” comes the cheerful voice of the other boy.

“I’m fifteen! I’m still growing!” yells the redhead. Their banter makes Nemuri and Hizashi laugh while Aizawa sighs. Both kids turn their heads their way.

“What?” asks the redhead.

“Chuuya is yelling so close to them of course they are looking at the source of that unbearable voice” the brunette says, swinging his hand like it's nothing important.

“You bastar-” Chuuya starts yelling again just to be interrupted by Nemuri. “We are sorry. We just couldn't hold ourselves back.”

“You reminded us of some of our students,” Hizashi adds.

“Students?” the brunette asks “You are teachers then.”

“Yes. We are” Nemuri confirms.

“I see” he says and leans on the table with one hand under his chin “You’re not from Yokohama. We don’t get many visitors. Do you want us to be your guide?” His words make the teachers freeze and share a look. Only then they realize they are the only kids in the shop. And it is a school day. Meaning, they should have been in school “Please,” the boy continues “We were kicked out of our lessons because our teacher was done with us. We are just looking for a distraction.”

“Yeah,” Chuuya agrees “I don’t want to spend my day alone with this mackerel.”

“Chuuya~” the brunette whines “We wouldn’t even be in this situation if you hadn’t started to yell out of nowhere.”

“And whose fault is it?” Chuuya yells again. Their banter makes the teachers relax. They share another look. Aizawa sighs again.

“You’re not worried that we could be bad people?” Hizashi asks, successfully distracting the kids. They snicker a bit at the question.

“Nope” the brunette says, popping the p.

“Your parents won’t worry, right?” he asks again.

“They know we will be fine as long as we stay together” Chuuya says.

“You still need to inform them” Aizawa says.

“So we can be your guides after that?” the brunette asks.

“If your family agrees” Aizawa confirms. The brunette sends some messages on his phone. After some furious typing his phone rings and he answers.

(You’re with the heroes. What are you planning to do? Why? You know we don’t let them get in and out of Yokohama in one piece, right? You have other plans. Just asking to make sure but you won’t let us- sigh. Don’t traumatize them. See you later Dazai-kun.)

“Yes, chibi is here too. Sightseeing. Seemed fun. Yep. Obviously. No, I won’t. When have I ever? Bye~” he smiles after the call ends “Let’s go.”

They leave the shop after they pay for their food and Chuuya pays for his and Dazai’s as he lost. They go to several locations with beautiful sights. Their final destination is the port.

“Is it okay to be here?” Nemuri asks. Glancing back at her colleagues.

“Why wouldn’t it be?” Chuuya asks.

“It’s just” she hesitates to open up the subject to the kids but continues “We heard some rumors about the Port Mafia. We were just worried.” Chuuya raises a brow at that.

“Don’t worry, they won’t touch normal people. In Yokohama, the only ones that get targeted are troublemakers” he reassures. The heroes give him a questioning look. But they get interrupted by the sound of bullets. The heroes are on alert and search for the source of the sound only to be stopped by Chuuya.

“You can be heroes outside but this is Yokohama and it has its rules. If you go there you will be targeted. Not to mention you won’t be able to do anything” his words make them realize two things. One, they were in an unknown territory. Two, they have been protected by two children the whole day.

“We better leave” Nemuri says, taking a step back.

“Already?” the brunette whines behind them “But we went through all that trouble to get here. At least watch the sunset.” His presence sent a chill down the spine of the heroes. Making them feel trapped.

“Okay but we leave after that” Aizawa says.

“Deal” the brunette agrees and walks to the railing. He jumps up and sits on it. Chuuya leaning against the railing beside him. They watch the sunset and return to the train station. The kids not leaving until the train moves.

“We didn’t get his name,” Aizawa says after twenty minutes of silence.

“What?” Hizashi asks.

“We didn’t get the brunette's name. They seemed to know so much about us but we only know they are fifteen and the red head’s name is Chuuya.”

“They don’t know much about us either. None of us asked.”

“That’s the issue. Why did no one ask? They knew we were heroes, there are countless questions that can be asked just by that. But they didn’t. We also didn’t question their knowledge. But we were forgetting this is Yokohama. There are no heroes here and the news about heroes is not common. Even if it was, we are underground. Not even the people outside realize at first glance if you are not in your costumes.”

“You are right, we were too relaxed until we heard the guns. And even then we didn’t question how the brunette got behind us or for how long he was there. But if there is one thing I know it is that they protected us from whatever lies in that city. I don’t know why but they were also used to it. Do you remember how they said it was fine as long as they were together?” Nemuri adds.

“Yes. It sounded weird at first with how they were at each other's throats. But it made sense after I saw how they worked together. They were not normal kids.”

“We were lucky they didn’t want to harm us or we would be in the middle of those bullets without even realizing.” They all agreed to that and decided not to go to Yokohama ever again.

~End of Flashback~

“I see” Nezu says with a pleased smile “I’m sure you will be more careful this time. I won’t hold you any longer so you can go and get some rest.” The trio get out of the principal’s office and go to their homes to get ready for another trip to the city they swore not to step in again just three days ago.
