It was 11AM.
What was she doing?
Why aren’t you at school?
Shiho lay on her bed, when an ominous feeling creeps up on her back.
She closed her eyes, thinking she was imagining things.
It was so quiet.
It’s so different now that her sister is gone.
How long ago was it…?
A month ago, her world had been turned upside down when Shizuku…
K̶i̶l̶l̶e̶d̶ h̶e̶r̶s̶e̶l̶f̶.
Shiho always pushed her away, almost rejecting her own sister’s love.
She always took all that for granted.
Shiho sometimes begs to feel her sister’s touch and genuine care once again.
“Shii-chan…?”
Was she hearing things?
That was the exact sound of Shizuku…
Shiho opened her eyes to see her once again.
Shizuku’s touch felt so cold.
As Shizuku stood there, Shiho ran to hug her with tears welling in her eyes.
She felt so light.
“Are you alright?”
Her words never gave the same warmth, they felt like the stinging cold.
At Least… that’s what Shiho felt.
She felt like she let her sister, the only one there for her in her darkest times down.
“Shizuku… why are you here..”
Shiho tried to fight back her tears, even though they both knew she was on the verge of crying.
“To check up on you Shii~”
“I-I’m doing okay…”
“I’m glad…”
That sentence was filled with so much comfort… she couldn’t hold back and hugged her, crying.
Her eyes widened when they didn’t get absorbed into her clothes, but instead fell right through her.
“S-Shizuku… you’re not real..?”
“You and I both know that.”
Shiho wept harder, before Shizuku said something.
“Shii-Chan, look at me.”
“It’s not your fault, nothing is.”
Shiho grabbed a tissue and wiped her tears away.
“I wanna believe you're real..”
“I want to apologize…”
Shizuku tilted her head.
“Hm? For what?”
“For everything!”
“All those times I’ve pushed you away, you were there for me when no one else was…”
“Yet… yet I took it all for granted.”
Shizuku closed her eyes and let out a faint smile.
Shiho was anticipating the worst words from her sister.
“Good. How dare you try to push me away?!”
“It’s already too late, you did this to yourself.”
“You're a terrible younger sister.”
“ I will never love you.”
Yet Shizuku threw her arms around her.
“H-Huh..?”
“Shii, I will always love you.”
“Even If I am gone… remember that okay?”
“Y-yes…”
Shiho wept her tears, as Shizuku faded away.
