Chapter Text
t was Peter who felt it first. Maybe it was his Enhancements. Maybe it was because Wade was distracted by muttering how hot he thought Keanu Reeves was while he killed people on screen with more ease than he himself might have been able to in the latest John Wick movie they were watching.
Either way, he felt it first and looked around. The theater was nearly empty. This was one of the last few showings of the movie before it went to streaming in the little crappy theater they preferred because it was never crowded.
There was a couple a few rows ahead of them, one older man all the way on the side of the theater, and there…
He and Peter met eyes. “Whoa.” And he was jerking at Wade, gaining his attention.
“Whoa,” Wade repeated when he realized and then they were practically leaping over seats towards the guy.
“Oh my god!” Wade practically screeched when they met in the isle. “You’re so tiny and cute!” He ignored the glaring from the total of three other people in the room.
He really was though. The top of his head came up to Peter’s chin, he had wide green eyes behind a pair of glasses and a mess of raven black hair.
Their soulmate pouted. “M’not tiny,” he said in a decidedly non American accent.
“You are!” Wade exclaimed, squeezing his cheeks. “How’d you like the movie?”
“Well, he’s hot,” he said, pointing at the screen where Keanu was now fighting, “but I’ve not seen the first two, so I don’t know.”
“Well then, you need some education, Tiny Tim.” And Wade picked him up to throw him over his shoulder.
“Wait, how do I know you’re not taking me out to your creeper van?”
“Don’t worry, I’ve got candy.”
“Well, when you put it that way.” He braced himself on Wade’s back to look at Peter.
“I’m Harry.”
“Peter,” he offered, laughing, “and he really does have that creeper van.”
Harry wiggled his eyebrows and then grabbed at his glasses before they fell. “Well then, maybe we could get into something other than candy.”
Peter laughed louder, and he probably wouldn’t even need his soul mark burning to tell this one was theirs.
