Intresting - An avian Scenario Book

Summary:

In this story you are the partner of birdy, an avian that has strong opinions, a weak to physical and caring touch, and a love for fries.

Notes:

Birdy has no actual name and will never get one. He is a character I want to use as a stand in for fantasy writings since i either don't like existing winged character or they just aren't someone I visualize this way.

(Heads up, I am demi-aro and ace so some things that are more intimate may seem a bit rushed or not thought through well since it's just me trying to get rid of the ideas)

Chapter 1: Greetings

Chapter Text

It was cold since it was heading to mid November. Most people were wrapped warm in heavy clothes or carrying hand warmers. For most hybrids of the world it was a sleepy time. A few not even waking up since the cold makes them shut down into a deep and slow trance. For others they become more irritable and annoyed with others, wanting to reach warmer areas.

For Birdy, he loved the cold. It gave him an excuse to pile on heavy clothes and enjoy the weight in put on him. Though this little habit became a problem when serving drinks and food at the Café his mom runs. Seventeen and graduation in a few months, he was ready to leave, explore! He was dubbed Birdy when his wings only grew to a small size at ten instead of an impressive wing span. Though the growth spirts caught up and gave him an average length of a yard a wing.

He immediately headed to the Café when school ended, saying it was an important thing. The only place people actually saw him was in choir, though he was nestled into the group of diverse breeds that was smaller than the homosapian group. Unlike old beliefs, science proved they are just humans with body parts of animals, and other things that may be important. So, there is no instinct or animal behavior other than people who play into the role. Which are usually hookers and highschool wanna-be's that are seeking attention, the news eats it up to give anyhybrid a bad rep.

"I'm here!"
"Frantastic, we're starting to put up our Christmas menu, could you help your father."
"Of course"

Birdy set his stuff in an empty locker and put on his hair and wing nets. Then he slipped on an apron. It was lighter for easier movement and more flying. Though they couldn't fly in the restaurant either way. It would break too many things.

"Alright, get on the ladder. I'll hold it for you."
"...You can hand up the boards."

Birdy got a nod and was handed the board. He put it up a bit crooked but he was told it was fine. When his foot hit the barring below the one he stood on it slipped. Birdy crashed into the counter. He groaned loudly before hearing a nearly silent laugh. His eyes popped open to find someone new standing there.

"WELCOME TO THE CAFÉ!"
"Birdy, inside voice please love."
"Sorry mom- Er, do you want to order?"
"Just a hot choclate and peanut butter cookie please."

He grinned at them and went to get the order while his dad wrung them up. It was fairly easy to gather. He then handed it over.

"Thanks"
"What's your name? Are you new?"
"Oh, well, I am new. I moved from a smaller village a ways from here."

After giving a bitore backstory Birdy fianlly got their name. He thought it was quite pretty really. So he gave them a bright smile before wiping down a table thay had been used. The two talked a little more before they had to leave. Myabe they would come back.
