Chapter Text
Albert Wesker was not their star employee social-wise. He was angry, and bitter. He tried to put on a fake smile and be kind towards the customers, but occasionally he would snap. Especially on days like this.
Two of his fellow Subway coworkers had called in sick today, Chris and Jill. They were probably lying and hanging out at one of their houses painting each other's nails all day. Now, because management there sucked and he had no other coworkers, he was stuck working the entire day.
Yes, the entire day. Open to close.
Wesker was exhausted by noon, but was glad it was a Sunday. It was not very busy so he was able to catch a few minutes to sit down in between orders.
He had opened this morning and prepped enough ingredients for the day. He thought he did anyways.
It was about 9pm now. He is supposed to close at 9:30. He is finishing up cleaning, he sweeped the lobby, wiped down the tables, and much more. He may not be the best towards customers, but damn if he isn't good at his job otherwise.
Time kept passing. He sat down at a booth and begun reading a book while waiting for the clock to strike 9:30 so he could shut everything off, and leave. 9:28. Two minutes before he could close. Wesker got up from the booth, stretching, and smiling to himself. Thank god no one came in after he finished cleaning.
He turned to towards the door, about to walk up to it and lock it, but stopped dead in his tracks. He could just make out the body of a person walking towards. It. Shit!
There's no way someone wanted subway at this time of night….they must know the store was about to close, right?
The man gripped the door handle, swung the door open, and stepped inside.
Wesker was boiling with rage on the inside. He walked behind the counter and began to put gloves on, preparing to make a sandwich.
The turned back to the customer and stared at him. Wait a minute.
"Hey Wesker! How are ya? Working here now? Omg I can't believe stars fired you! I heard about that How tragic."
It was Leon S. Kennedy.
He was wearing the absolute worst outfit Wesker had ever played eyes on as well. He had on a bright pink button up, covered in hearts. And was wearing gray cargo shorts. He had on neon green crocks with black socks. On his head rested a yellow SpongeBob hat. What. The actual. Fuck.
"I…uh…hi Leon. What can I get for you today?"
"Yeah I'm gonna need 12 footlongs."
Wesker just stared at him. His brain could not comprehend what Leon had just said to him."
"Also they're all going to be different sandwiches."
Wesker's eye twitched and he smiled wide. He wanted to explode Leon with his mind.
"S-sure. What can…I get for you?"
Wesker did it. He made all 12 sandwiches. It took 10 minutes. He was exhausted, and he wanted to go home.
He stood at the register, ringing Leon up.
Leon handed him a $100, and Wesker handed him back his change.
"Can I have all but this one in bags?" Leon asked, and Wesker nodded. There was no fucking way this asshole was planning on eating here, was he?
Leon took the bags, and walked over to a booth. NO FUCKING WAY. Wesker stared, filled with absolute rage and hatred for this man. He watched as Leon devored the sandwich, making a mess in the process.
When he was done, he got up, and left. All Wesker could do was stare at the spot Leon had just gotten up from. There was a sandwich wrapped, and tons of dirty napkins and crumbs all over the floor. If his boss came in to work tomorrow and saw this, he'd kill him. This meant he had to clean it up now.
Angrily, Wesker grabbed a broom and a mop to clean up the mess.
He was definitely putting in his two weeks.
