I picked up the phone, it was Mafuyu. Apparently, her parents, Rui and Tsukasa, were on their one year anniversary trip. Touya, her younger brother, was also taking Akito (akitoya fr) on a romantic date.
“Everybody is on a romantic endeavor except me,” Mafuyu sighed. “I feel invisible.”
“Yeah, yeah we know you’re an emo musician,” I said.
“Well I’m gonna sing an emo song.” Mafuyu said before bursting into song (totemo itai itagaritai). She sang so many emo songs! Then Rui and Tsukasa came home. She cut the phone call.

Her parents burst through the door to her room.
Rui was angry. “Mafuyu!” He said. “I told you NOT to be an emo musician!”
“But I love to be emo! It’s a part of me!” She exclaimed.
“We’re just worried about you honey,” Tsukasa said, putting his hand on Rui’s shoulder.
“Tsukasa…” Rui started.
Tsukasa looked at Mafuyu. “Don’t worry, I’ll talk to your father about this.”
--- At my house
I slowly turned around and couldn’t believe what I saw. It was Mafuyu, at my door, who was drenched since there’s a hurricane in the area right now.
“While my parents talk about if I’m allowed to be emo or not, I’ll crash here.” She didn’t give me the time to argue. I had to let her in with no chance to protest and turn her into an emo frog. Then suddenly there was a crash in the back. I opened the door and saw someone I had seen before, Maroon.
“Maroon!” I gasped. Maroon was my uncle. “I thought you had died!”
“I have,” He said. “But I resurrected myself to tell your friend not to be emo.”
“I can’t believe it.” Mafuyu said. “Even your dead uncle doesn’t want me to be emo. I guess there’s no hope, I’m doomed.” Mafuyu sighed before beginning her monologue. “When I heard an emo song for the first time, I felt something stirring inside. I knew from then on, I had to be emo.”
“Okay and?” Ena, who had poofed out of nowhere because she was Dracula’s second cousin, was unimpressed. “I’m a vampire. We are born emo, but I never wanted to be.”
“Please can I become part of your family?” Mafuyu pleaded.
“Um, gimme a sec,” Ena said. She scrolled through her phone. “The only opening in a family is the Grim Reaper’s family.”

Grim Reaper adopted Mafuyu. Her parents Rui and Tsukasa were devastated. Mafuyu wanted to bring her former parents with her, but in doing so they died. RIP I guess.

The Grim Reaper has retired. Now Mafuyu, the adoptive daughter of the Grim Reaper, was the new official Grim Reaper. She had a cool, bejeweled scythe. She brought people into the afterlife in style. And for every 100 people she brought, she had a rave with Bring it On by Giga playing in the background with those 100 people! Everyone told her she was living the life, which was ironic since technically she was dead.
