Best Friend Secrets

Summary:

a little date night crack about cute best friends with not so cute secrets about their hot boyfriends.

Notes:

Crack about some sexy secrets being revealed during date night. This was written deep in the throes of jet lagg, so I though it was hilarious as I was writing it.

Work Text:

“I think you’re out of ice”, Yi said from where he stood in front of the open fridge.

“Good thing we’re drinking wine then”, Lian replied without looking away from the glasses he was carefully refilling.

Ever since things had settled between the friends and their cuter halves, the younger had insisted on weekly double dates. They wanted to make sure their boyfriends made time in their busy schedule to relax once in a while and enjoy each other’s company now that their entangled little group was free of misunderstandings and heart ache. So, every week or so, the four would go to dinner together or hang out at Yi or Lian’s for the evening. Although, Yi and Lian didn’t see the purpose of the get-together, they couldn’t say they completely hated it; and the smile their boyfriends wore all night were a great incentive to maintain the routine.

“Well, I need something stronger to put up with you all night” Yi said pulling his head from the refrigerator and shutting the door.

“Does nong Diao find your alcoholism attractive?” Lian snarked in a deadpan voice carrying his and Kuea’s now refilled glasses.

Yi scoffed and followed him out of the kitchen.

The two returned to the living room to find their boyfriends seated on the same couch, heads close together, giggling at something.

Lian was hit yet again with a wave of adoration for his lovely fiancé, and, judging from the soft smile on his face, Yi shared his thoughts watching the two younger boys enjoying themselves.

“What did we miss?” Yi said heading to the couch facing them.

Diao immediately stood up to join him, comfortably settling at Yi’s side.

“Nothing Hia, we were just talking”, he said sweetly, resting a delicate hand on Yi’s knee.

The older was almost embarrassed to admit how much he enjoyed the casual touch and leaned in to press a quick kiss to Diao’s temple whose smile got even wider at the gesture.

“I don’t know”, said Lian from where he had sat back down, a hand curled around Kuea’s shoulders, hugging him close, “It seemed pretty entertaining”.

“Hia~” Kuea said in that slightly whiny tone he denied ever using when Lian called him a baby. “It was just a best friend thing. It’s nothing serious.”

Lian’s eyebrow raised at that.
“So, you two are keeping secrets from us now?”, he said half-joking.

Diao started snickering to himself.

“Oh, he definitely doesn’t want you to know this.” He chimed from the opposite couch.

“Hey!”, Kuea said glaring at his best friend slightly despite the light blush coloring his cheeks. “Shut it.”

Now, Lian really wanted to know. After everything, they’d learn to be more open with each other. They actually made efforts to communicate now to make sure that the other never had to deal with hurt feelings and that they always knew how much they cared for one another. This obviously wasn’t a bad secret, but Lian’s curiosity was piqued. What could possibly have his cute feisty fiancée acting all shy?

“This sounds juicy”, Yi spoke up as his boyfriend kept laughing at his best friend who was progressively getting more annoyed.

Lian turned to Kuea, gently grabbing his chin to make the younger look at him instead.

“Kuea, what is it?”, he asked. “Tell me.”

Kuea eyes were so big, focused on Lian’s face before he averted his gaze nervously.

“Is that an order?”, Diao asked a little too innocently.

“Diao!” Kuea hissed.

“What?” the other replied feigning ignorance, eyes impossibly big.

Kuea’s gaze narrowed.

“I bet Hia Yi would also like to know what happened to his Drakkar noir”.

Diao inhaled sharply.

“You wouldn’t”, he threatened although the barely concealed panic on his face didn’t make him very intimidating.

“You started it!”, Kuea threw back.

“What about my perfume?”, Yi piped up slightly confused.

The smile Kuea aimed at the man was so sickeningly sweet, Yi couldn’t help recoiling minutely into the couch.

“Nothing much, someone just got a little eager and spilt it.”

Besides Yi, Diao dramatically gasped. His fists were clenched at his side as he glowered at his best friend.

Lian and Yi watched in amusement and mild concern as their boyfriends stared each other down. The two couldn’t help but feel like they were missing something. A bomb was building right in front of them but, despite the tension, they were kind of curious what would happen when it detonated.

Suddenly, Diao turned to Lian. He looked him dead in the eyes and said:

“Kuea jerked off to the message you sent him last week about taking care of Pentagon while you were away”. He then turned to a frozen Kuea. “He likes it when you order him around.”

Lian stilled, eyes wide. He looked at his boyfriend for clarification, but Kuea didn’t even notice his boyfriend’s reaction to busy firing back at his evil best friend.

“Diao spilled your perfume because he wanted your smell on the pillows while he played with himself.”

Lian heard Yi suck in a breath and the friends looked at each other in astonishment. This was not the development they had expected. They sat there in shock (and minor arousal) as their boyfriends kept glaring daggers at each other.

It was Yi who decide to break the stand-off.

“Well, we’ll be off”, he said grabbing Diao’s hand.

He had to practically pry the smaller man off the couch where he was still shaking in anger, a perfect mirror to Kuea in Lian’s arms.

“Come on”, he said again finally getting Diao to look at him.

“What? Where are we going?”, he asked confused.

Yi pulled him in by his waist, and leaned down to whisper in Diao’s ear.

“You think I can hear something like that and not want to see it in person?”

“Yi!” Diao gasped with a blush rising on his cheeks that Yi just had to kiss.

“You don’t want to show Hia baby?” he added mischievously.

Diao’s blushed got even worse but he also clutched Yi’s other hand tightly, interlocking their fingers as he headed out of the room.

“This isn’t over, traitor” he threw over his shoulder as he dragged his smirking boyfriend out of the room.

Kuea only vaguely heard him from his spot hiding against an amused Lian’s chest.

The older was trying to cajole his flustered boyfriend into talking to him.

Lian figured he should get an explanation before things progressed. After all, his sweet Kuea wouldn’t be coherent for long once it was his turn to speak.

Lian grinned; he was starting to like this date night idea.
