Notes:

hi everyone. This is my first and Maby only fic I ever write. So please have mercy on me. For the most part this is a fluffy and cute fic. I am a huge nerd about the marauders era and I do believe there isn't enough Mary X lily fics so I'm here to make amends of that. and bring justice to some underrated fruit loops.

also if you see italics in this fic just by themselves it's the characters internal dialogue

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

Lily Rose Evans was perfect
perfect in the sense her hair was always brushed
her laugh was always pure
her parents always proud
she was perfect in the way that would make people love her and envy her at the same danm time

her first two years at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry went just as planned. Sorted into the noble house of the lion she made good friends with a Marlene McKinnon another girl in her year. Marlene was reckless and her quirks, but lily liked it. She liked that balance.

soon she was acquainted with four notorious boys in her year. James potter, Sirius black, Remus lupin and peter Pettigrew. Their friendship was like the ones she read in her books about schoolboys and brotherhood. She found them extremely infuriating at first however she had warmed up to them. Especially James. He was like Marlene yet unlike Marlene he didn’t hesitate to put all his love out into the world. Even if he gets nothing in return. Marlene wasn’t like that she was careful, and testy with her company. Incredibly intimidating to the common eye. Yet to lily she was always ten times warmer than the sun.

Lily was standing at the edge of the platform just as she had the two years prior. Marlene glued to her side she felt giddy about returning back home. She turned back around to face her parents and her sister; she gave them a wave before stepping onto the train leaving the muggle world behind for another year tucked up into the highlands of Scotland
