Notes:

Hi, Sunwoo is a baby in this but also a gremlin, also I didn't mean to write this much - I'm becoming my one fear - the people who write oneshots with over 10k words.

Also, for those wondering who Minyoung is - they're an inside joke between me and my friends (if you bastards are lurking here, hi - you owe me a large costa hot chocolate)

Anyways, enjoy!!! (^o^)<3 - this is sunwoo blowing you a kiss

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Sangyeon slumped over his marking, biting his lip as he groaned at a mistake being made. Normally, he would but he pointed this one mistake out to his students multiple times, highlighted in PowerPoints and underlined when writing up stuff on his board .

His phone rang, and Sangyeon checked it to see Noona 💕. Picking up his phone, he grinned as he heard her voice. "Sangyeonnie, hi." Hoju said, Sangyeon hearing her happiness.

"Hi noona. Why are you calling?" Sangyeon asked, Hoju clearly making dinner as he heard the tell-tale cling of a pan lid being lifted. A thump resounded through the wall, Sangyeon hiding his chuckle when he heard swearing. Ah, his neighbour was home.

"To see if you're coming to the family dinner this holiday?" Hoju asked, Sangyeon asking her to wait a minute and looking at his calendar. "By the way, this is an 'Hey, mum is going to call' alert." She warned, Sangyeon groaned, his noona chuckling

"Yep, I'm free - though, if i hear one mention of partner, don't be surprised if I'm served for dinner." Sangyeon joked, Hoju laughing before telling his nephews to go sit back at the table

He grinned as he heard his nephews pestering to talk to him. "No, your uncle Sangyeon is busy with his work, I know, I'm sorry sweethearts but he's too busy to do a full-on conversation. Also, you're about to have your dinner." Hoju said, Sangyeon pouting when his nephews groaned and whined.

"How about you call back before they go to bed, I'll talk to them then?" Sangyeon asked, Hoju agreeing before telling the two. Sangyeon snorted when he heard the cheers and full-on chuckling when it suddenly cut off.

Sangyeon went back to his marking, checking the clock for when it hit 6pm. 6:00pm, Sangyeon saw his phone screen lit up with Eomma across the screen. He picked it up, taking a deep breath as he done so.

"Sangyeon, hello. Will you be joining us for the holiday dinner?" His mum asked, Sangyeon gulping. He wished it was his mama answering the phone, her soft and airy voice always made him feel more relaxed compared to his mother's stern and cold voice.

"Yeah, I'm heading." Sangyeon answered, he's already knowing the next question which causes him more existential dread than exam marking time.

"Are you bringing a girl with you this time?" She asked, Sangyeon biting his lip, looking at the bi flag his noona and younger brother got him. His mum didn't know he was bi and he didn't know how to break it to her. He shook his head before remembering he's on a phone call.

"No." He stated, before his mouth opened and his brain went to impulse mode. "I'm actually bringing my boyfriend." Sangyeon declared, panic entering his system straight afterwards. Holy shit, he just outed himself on impulse. That's something he expected from one of his friends, not himself.

"Oh, really, that's cool." She said, Sangyeon shocked but extremely happy. "Does this mean you're gay or bi or uh, what's that other, it begins with a p, are you one of those or something else?" His mum asked, Sangyeon chuckling when she was pondering aloud.

"It's pan. But no, I'm bi. I do like girls but this boy, he's got gorgeous pink hair, tanned skin and the prettiest grin. He pesters me for coffee and he named his cat after his dance team leader." Sangyeon rambled, acutely aware he was describing his neighbour who just so happened to be the person he held feelings for.

"He sounds lovely, I can't wait to meet him. I know I haven't been the best mother to you, but thank you for trusting me with this info." His mother said, Sangyeon feeling himself getting slightly emotional. They talked a bit further before hanging up, Sangyeon taking a deep breath before screaming into his hands.

Holy fucking shit, what did he do? Why did he say he had a boyfriend? He doesn't even have a boyfriend. And he just described his goddamn neighbour. Maybe if he goes for a run, he can figure something out. Sangyeon stood up, quickly changing into his running clothes. As he stepped out, his neighbour's door stepped out and a boy with pink hair stepped out.

Sangyeon's neighbour was named Kim Sunwoo and he was 24. His passion was music and he currently did private classes while working at a café nearby. Sangyeon froze as Sunwoo turned to him, boba eyes widening as they both intended to go out for a jog. "Ah, once again, we're heading for a jog in sync." Sunwoo joked, Sangyeon chuckling.

"Wanna join, Mr. Neighbour?" Sangyeon joked, Sunwoo grumbling at the nickname but still agreeing. Sangyeon watched as the younger put his airpods into their case before putting them in a pocket in his jacket, staring at Sangyeon until he did the same.

"So, how's your day been?" Sangyeon asked they began to head to the local park. Sunwoo groaned as they walked, Sangyeon knowing already it was going to be a story about a difficult customer.

"This customer came in and it was the newbie on shift today and begins using terms only experienced baristas know, so of course the poor kid doesn't pick up on café terms and gets so confused." Sunwoo began, Sangyeon already feeling extreme sympathy for the newbie. From what he's heard, the poor kid gets overwhelmed easily and cries if someone even raises the volume of their voice slightly.

"So, he makes a mistake like expected and this customer doesn't think 'Hey, this server is younger than those who would know the terms I used.' and proceeds to complain loudly about how the order was wrong." Sunwoo ranted, hands moving wildly as he told Sangyeon the story.

"And then when newbie goes to apologise, the customer berates them and want them to give them the order on the house. So, i go over to see what's wrong and then I get shouted at bUT AFTER ALL THAT ABUSE, THE CUSTOMER GETS THE ORDER ON THE HOUSE!!!!" Sunwoo yelled, angry at the audacity of the customer and how his boss just accepted.

Sangyeon shook his head as they began to their run, Sunwoo able to keep easily if Sangyeon went to a slower pace than usual. "So, how was your day, hyung?" Sunwoo asked, Sangyeon glancing at him, finding his pink cheeks and sparkling eyes adorable.

"I've been marking homework from one of my classes." Sangyeon said, Sunwoo making an 'aish' noise. "I also accidentally came out to my mum by telling her I have a boyfriend that I'll be bringing to the family dinner in two weeks." Sangyeon stated, Sunwoo almost seem to be pouting and wilting at the word boyfriend.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" Sunwoo asked, seemingly nervous but Sangyeon put it to his imagination before shaking his head. He turned his head when he heard a bike bell, not seeing the hopeful smile at Sunwoo's eyes. He only turned back to see Sunwoo's realisation what Sangyeon had told his mother.

"I know, I know, hyung made a massive mistake. I need to find someone to fake being my boyfriend for this dinner." Sangyeon lamented, coming to a stop by a bench so they could get a quick breather. Sunwoo suddenly made an 'Ahah' noise, pulling out his phone.

"Hyung, I could do it, I've got many days of holiday due to overtime so I can just take it off and I'm doing no private lessons as I take up no lessons during holidays." Sunwoo said, Sangyeon could almost kiss him. God bless Kim Sunwoo, he's just saved Sangyeon a lot.

"Are you sure?" Sangyeon questioned, he didn't want to make Sunwoo uncomfortable but he quickly realised he didn't need to ask the younger if he was sure based on the determined look in his eyes.

"Yup, you need a fake boyfriend and it's a free holiday, so yes, I'm doing it. Also, we'll be able to get to know each other much more." Sunwoo said, voice whimsical as he skipped around, Sangyeon had told him about his mama's cooking. Of course, Sunwoo would agree. Everyone would die for Sangyeon's mama's food.

"Okay, I'll give you my number and text you all the info." Sunwoo blushing as he put his name into Sangyeon's phone. Sunwoo ☀️🌷. Cute, suited Sunwoo and Sangyeon said so, smiling as Sunwoo's cheeks went vivid red.

"Now, let's finish this run so we get in our daily minutes." Sangyeon said, Sunwoo groaning but still doing so. By the end of the run, Sunwoo was complaining about how Sangyeon was so mean, it wasn't fair to do this to him. Sangyeon only chuckled before stretching and beginning to head to the park's exit.

They walked in comfortable silence, Sunwoo humming a tune which Sangyeon found extremely endearing. Everything Sunwoo did was extremely endearing to Sangyeon.

"Actually, I have one condition. Can you get me a necklace with my birthstone?" Sunwoo asked, shy as he did so but Sangyeon only grinned softly at the boy.

"Sure, what's your birthstone?" Sangyeon asked, Sunwoo looking up at him in shock. Sangyeon knew birthstone necklaces were expensive but he was asking Sunwoo to pretend to be his partner for an entire holiday with his family, Sangyeon doesn't mind getting him a necklace.

"Diamond. It means love, strength and health. You don't have to if it's too expensive for you, it's just I can't afford it and when I usually get the chance, surprise, bills have to be paid." Sunwoo stammered out, Sangyeon smiling at the younger who got extreme pink as Sangyeon smiled at him.

"You want to laugh, don't you?" Sunwoo asked, voice soft. Sangyeon definitely didn't want to laugh, instead he wanted to hold Sunwoo in his arms, his cuteness taking him out.

"Sure, I'll definitely get you one. Also, I don't wanna laugh, it's just it's very adorable that you know meanings." Sangyeon clarified, Sunwoo going bright pink before looking away. "Do you know all the meanings?" A nod. Including November?" Sangyeon asked, Sunwoo nodding again before getting a mischievous glint.

"You'll have to wait til later for me to tell you. Have fun with the rest of your marking, hyung." Sunwoo said, Sangyeon only realising then that they were outside their apartments. Sunwoo laughed when he realised how absorbed Sangyeon had been in their conversation.

"Goodnight Sunwoo." Sangyeon said, Sunwoo waving before entering his apartment. Sangyeon entered, sat at the table before realising the great opportunity Sunwoo had given him. At the end of the holiday, he'll get Sunwoo that necklace and then will ask him out.

Sangyeon finished the rest of his marking, eating some ramen after calling his nephews. He quickly showered and then settled on couch to watch some Netflix. His phone pinged and Sangyeon laughed softly when a familiar name popped up.

Sunwoo ☀️🌷

I can hear hyung's TV, what you watching?

Sangyeonnie ☁️

This shitty show one of our mutual friends told me to watch so i can suffer with them

Sunwoo ☀️🌷

What is it like to be Minyoung's sacrificial lamb this time?

Sangyeonnie ☁️

Horrible :(

Sunwoo ☀️🌷

Oh, 'm sorry hyung

I'd offer to take it up but Minyoung made me watch Riverdale with them last time

Sangyeonnie ☁️

Nevermind, it isn't that horrible

How many seasons?

Sunwoo ☀️🌷

All oF THEM

Why does your stepbrother and Hongjoong's future-sister-in-law run a review channel together

Sangyeonnie ☁️

Because its Minyoung and Eric????

Also, did they give you a reward for watching it with them???

Sunwoo ☀️🌷

Lots of hugs because I'll own my neediness (that isn't to the point of red flags - I've seen some things in my time as a barista)

Sangyeonnie ☁️

I'll have to ask you about that

But first, cat updates

Sunwoo ☀️🌷

Oh, Juyeon was sick, ate his sick and then puked it back up

Sometimes, I feel like I should've named him Changmin because he's a little freak like Changmin

Sangyeonnie ☁️

Don't let him hear you say that thought

But also, WHY DID YOU NAME YOUR CAT AFTER JUYEON, WHO'S MY BROTHER

Sunwoo ☀️🌷

Because he looks like Juyeon???

Wait, can I bring Juyeon with me

Sangyeonnie ☁️

You just want to have a chance to show everyone how alike they look, don't you?

Sunwoo ☀️🌷

...

Maybe

Sangyeonnie ☁️

Yes, you can

Sangyeon looked up from his phone at the sound of cheering, chuckling as he heard Sunwoo celebrating.

Sangyeonnie ☁️

I can hear you celebrating

Sunwoo ☀️🌷

Shit, that's embarrassing

I'm going to sleep now, I've got an early shift tomorrow

Night hyung

Sangyeonnie ☁️

Goodnight Sunwoo

Sangyeon decided to hit the sack as well, putting his marking in his bags before moving to his room and falling onto his bed. He wondered what it'd be like to have Sunwoo in his bed. Sangyeon fell asleep to those extremely happy thoughts, unaware the other boy was also falling asleep to those very happy thoughts.

Sangyeon got up from his desk, noticing Juyeon waiting on one of the school benches, Minyoung besides him. Juyeon looked up to see Sangyeon looking out of his classroom window, waving at his older brother while Minyoung waved more excitedly.

Sangyeon headed outside, nodding his head at Jacob, surprised to see the younger outside of the sports department. "Hey, if you're not busy - Juyeon's visiting." Sangyeon said, Jacob blushing a pink colour before nodding. Juyeon might not have noticed but Jaehyun and Jacob are madly in love with Juyeon. Sangyeon loves it, he might just cause chaos and get Minyoung to come with them for dinner.

He approached the bench, realising Minyoung's hair was still not their natural colour. Kevin and Chanhee are still losing against them - Minyoung 1, Kevnyu 0. Juyeon had dyed his hair to a soft brown, looking a lot like their noona. Hoju is going to be overjoyed when she finally sees them again. Though, he feels like the two know something he don't, where were they before coming here?

Sangyeon sat down, Juyeon sitting up. "So, you told mum you've got a boyfriend who told mama who told Minyoung's dads." Juyeon said, Minyoung looking at him like they already knew what he was going to say. And Sangyeon suddenly remembered where they were before here, the dance studios for their dance team's practice.

Ah shit.

Sangyeon looked at them, knowing Sunwoo must've given to them already. Sangyeon won't admit this but he's particularly soft for Juyeon (Juyeon's the actual favourite sibling but don't tell Eric or Hoju) and Minyoung is someone who holds a comfortable aura, even if their tall ass is constantly making fun of him. So, it's completely understandable that Sunwoo told them the day after.

"Okay, I lied and now Sunwoo is agreeing to pretend to be my boyfriend. But, we've got time to pull everyone together and work together for a story." Sangyeon said, Juyeon looking ready to agree but then the boy then glanced at Minyoung, who was very clearly thinking it over.

"Okay, but then you'll be asking him out afterwards because he's given you the perfect thing to buy for him as a way to ask him out." Minyoung said, eye raising upwards as Sangyeon wanted to know if Sunwoo had told them this or Jaehyun's conspiracy theory from when they were high in university about Minyoung was the one controlling the pigeons, not the government was correct.

"Yeah, I will be asking Sunwoo out afterwards." Sangyeon said, Minyoung cheering while Juyeon reacted a minute after, getting up and jumping around. Sangyeon chuckled at his little brother's slow reaction, the world was too fast for their Juyeonnie. Juyeon froze, Sangyeon already knowin PE boyfriends were there.

Turning around, he invited Jaehyun and Jacob to sit down, Juyeon softly sitting down, Minyoung hiding their giggles while eyes shining with mischief. "Did you know Sunwoo offered to be Sangyeon-hyung's fake-boyfriend because he not only lied to his mum about having a boyfriend but also accidentally came out to her? And now Sangyeon is taking him to their house during the holiday?" Minyoung asked, the question rhetorical as Jacob and Jaehyun didn't know.

Jacob turned to face Sangyeon, Sangyeon already feeling like he's about to be lectured. "I'm going to ask Sunwoo out afterwards." Sangyeon sheepishly tried to explain, Jacob looking unimpressed so Sangyeon decided to shut up.

Juyeon then must've decided to say his opinion. "It's kinda cute, like a movie!!! It's quite adorable." Juyeon said softly, everyone looking to face the youngest who blushed. Jaehyun smirked at the younger, who blushed and tried to hide behind Minyoung, who jut moved to the side. Juyeon poked them in their side for betraying him. Sangyeon watched as Minyoung squirmed away, pouting before pinching Juyeon.

"It's also a classic fanfic trope." Minyoung remarked, Sangyeon narrowing his eyes at them. The issue with Minyoung being your life-long friend is they'll remember your most embarrassing moments. Like Sangyeon crying over a Bokuaka fanfic while he read it, Minyoung entering as they were at an event before deciding to visit Sangyeon. Only to come across Sangyeon crying over a Bokuaka fanfic.

Not Sangyeon's greatest moment.

"Oh, Sangyeonnie does like his fanfics." Jaehyun teased, Juyeon letting out a snort. Considering he hasn't been mercilessly teased by Eric yet, it was only Juyeon that knew. Sangyeon decided to ignore their pointed remarks, Minyoung pouting at their phone.

Sangyeon poked their arm, Minyoung looking up before looking at their car. "Sangyeonnie, can you pick me up from my work later on? Seonghwa's having to take his car for repairs." Minyoung asked, Sangyeon nodding before they turned to face Juyeon, who jokingly sighed

"I'll take you to work when we leave." Juyeon stated, the elder cheering before finally pulling their food out of their bag. Dumplings, probably hand-made by Seonghwa - perfect. Sangyeon grinned, quickly stealing a dumpling which made Minyoung pout but Sangyeon felt no guilt over his action.

Lunch continued, Jaehyun flirting very obviously with Juyeon, who was too oblivious and took everything literally. Sangyeon found it quite pitiful for Jaehyun but Juyeonnie could do no wrong, Jaehyun just has to grow some balls and confess. Jacob probably has everything planned for his part, it's just Jaehyun.

Some students would come up to the bench, asking Sangyeon about when the next assignment or assessment is. Sangyeon interacted, almost giddy with excitement when some students shyly asked Minyoung what shows they and Eric were planning to cover next.

As the bell rang, Minyoung and Juyeon quickly darting off after saying their goodbyes. Jacob remembered he had a class and dashed off but not before giving Jaehyun a peck on the cheek. "Do you have class?" Jaehyun asked, Sangyeon shaking his head at him. "Can I hang out in your class then?" Jaehyun asked, Sangyeon nodding happily at him.

Sangyeon's phone chimed, dramatically sighing as his brother's name showed up.

Eriggie 🐶

Hyung, can you pick me, Sunwoo and Haknyeon up from Sunwoo's workkkkkkkkkkk, please?

Pleaseeeeeeeeeee

PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Sangyeonnie ☁️

Yeah, I can, just have to pick Minyoung up first though

Jaehyun laughed when Sangyeon told him, dropping by the PE office before heading to Sangyeon’s classroom, Jaehyun complaining about his marking.

"How do you do it? I could never do it." Jaehyun lamented, Sangyeon shrugging his shoulders. They both noticed some students vaping but turned a blind eye, if they see nothing, they don't have to do nothing about it. Entering his classroom, Sangyeon always felt pride at how everyone loved it - including teachers.

Sangyeon being one of the guidance teachers allowed him to be able to give the classroom some amazing updates. He had the Little Quiet Nook at the corner, named by Minyoung. The word nook was so fascinatingly fun to say that Sangyeon just had to take the name on. Sangyeon more often than not does his student meetings and marking at that little area, enjoying the beanbags. Jaehyun turned to face him with excitement, Sangyeon chuckling.

"Yes, we can mark there." Sangyeon said, Jaehyun whooping before immediately running to the little nook. Sangyeon joined him, sighing as he settled into the beanbags. They spent the afternoon marking, Sangyeon making occasionally jokes while Jaehyun chuckled. Jacob joined them during the last period, also cheering when he realised he got to be in the Little Quiet Nook.

The bell rang, Sangyeon packing his stuff. He watched as Jacob mentioned something about a restaurant, the pair glancing at him. "I give you my permission to date my little brother." Sangyeon sighed but grinning at his friends, the pair thanking profusely as they left. Sangyeon punched the air, happy that his little brother will be getting two boyfriends of perfectly amazing men.

Sangyeon headed out to his car, laughing at the cat memes Minyoung had sent him. He saw his instagram, eyebrows raising happily as he saw a follow request. sunwoooo0412 has requested to follow you. Sangyeon accepted, following back and laughing at the immediate barrage of Sunwoo sending him funny posts.

He began his journey, phone occasionally pinging - why was Minyoung's work require going by many many busy streets. Sangyeon sighed as he hit another traffic light. He's going to start making them pay a fee for each traffic light he has to pass. Sangyeon finally reached Minyoung's work, the younger skipping out to his car while Changmin waved from the window.

"Hey, hey." Minyoung said, not bothering with honorifics. There was only four months between them so Minyoung never did honorifics unless others were as well. Disrespectful little shit. They sat in the back, Sangyeon knowing Eric's probably telling them Sangyeon's also picking him and his group up.

"Sooooooooooooo, are you prepared to see Sunwoo straight after work? It's a blessing to see." Minyoung teased, Sangyeon glaring at them. Minyoung just laughed before sitting properly, Sangyeon starting the car. As he drove, he heard soft snores and chuckled, Eric's going to be in the middle again as Haknyeon likes the window seat and Eric is soft for his boyfriend.

Sangyeon pulled up to Sunwoo's work, Eric waving excitedly, Sangyeon snorting at him finally using a hairband. Haknyeon was more chill, holding onto Eric's arm as they walked towards Sangyeon's car. Sunwoo besides them and giggling away at something one of them has said. Minyoung was still asleep, glasses falling off of their face slight. Sangyeon leaned back, fixing their glasses, looking up as he heard a knock at the window.

Sangyeon put a finger to his lips, Eric nodding before opening the door and entering as quietly as he could. Haknyeon got in next, Sunwoo getting in the front seat.

Oh lord, Minyoung wasn't wrong when they said Sunwoo after work was a blessing sight to see.

His cheeks were flushed, natural curls and waves coming through despite the hour he probably spent straightening them (Sangyeon hears Sunwoo's cursing). Eyes were sparkling as he turned to grin at Sangyeon, plump and extremely kissable lips showing off the most adorable smile. Sangyeon loves Sunwoo's wide smile, even more than his small smile where his lips moved slightly. Sangyeon unconsciously licked his lips, Sunwoo's face turning pink as he realised where Sangyeon was staring at.

Sangyeon waited for everyone to be buckled up, Minyoung still asleep in the back. He began his drive, knowing he's heading to Minyoung's place first. "Does Minyoung still live with Jeong Jaehyun and Jungwoo?" Sangyeon asked, Eric nodding.

"Do we have any news of Jungwoo managing to get laid?" Eric said, Sangyeon realising Minyoung had woken up. Minyoung shook their head before deciding to do a jab attack on Eric's side, the youngest begging for mercy as they did so.

"How was your day, hyung?" Eric asked after Minyoung finally gave mercy. Sangyeon looked back to see that Eric was just genuinely asking and smiled.

"I spent most of the day teaching and did some marking with Jaehyun and Jacob, who are going to ask out Juyeon soon," Sangyeon took a dramatic pause, Eric and Sunwoo providing excited 'Ohhhhhh' noises, "and now, I'm currently driving home an angel, my childhood best friend who knows too much, my gremlin of a brother and the gremlin's underpaid sugarbaby." Sangyeon joked.

Haknyeon let out a little snort, Eric whining. Sunwoo went an adorable pink colour while Minyoung wasn't hiding the fact that they were laughing. "Haknyeon isn't my sugarbaby, while sugarbabies are usually people that probably know what they're doing and what they're getting into and have proper measures in place to protect them - Haknyeon is my loving and caring boyfriend of 9 years." Eric rambled, Haknyeon cooing before kissing his cheek.

"Then get a motherfucking ring on him, he's dealt with your loud and wild ass for 9 years, Sohn." Sunwoo grumbled, Minyoung clearly struggling in the back while the other two got flustered. Haknyeon hid his face in Eric's neck, the younger blinking fervently before biting his lip, a small smirk appearing when he met Sangyeon's eyes through the mirror.

No fucking way. Sunwoo's eyes went wide as he also had the realisation, grin filled with giddiness while Haknyeon remained blissfully unaware, still flustered and hiding away in their safety of his boyfriend's neck.

Sangyeon felt his phone ping, already knowing Minyoung had texted him a theory that would've suddenly sprung up. Sangyeon quickly pulled into the car park of Minyoung's apartment building, the younger stepping out. They were still texting so Sangyeon pulled out his phone and had to hide his shocked laugh as he realised Minyoung had created a whole new chat.

Minyoung waved goodbye, Sunwoo also pulling his phone and actually gasping before looking at Sangyeon. "MIMI-NOONA, YOU'RE NOT MEANT TO BE A CONSPIRACY THEORIST LIKE JAEHYUN-HYUNG!!" Sunwoo yelled, the tall dickhead skipping away.

Sangyeon realised he'd gotten another text, this time from Haknyeon

Haknyeonnie 🍊

Ayo, drive because Eric is going to full asleep and I ain't got the strength to carry

Sangyeon looked back at Haknyeon, the younger raising an eyebrow. Sangyeon then glanced at Eric, realising what Haknyeon said is true, the youngest's eyes getting droopy and he was openly rubbing his cheek against Haknyeon's hair.

Sangyeon began to drive again, smiling softly as Haknyeon managed to keep Eric awake, the pair softly talking to each other, giggling away at something the other would say. He glanced to Sunwoo who would occasionally join in, the pair including him in their conversation.

They soon approached Haknyeon and Eric's place, the pair stepping out and waving goodbye. Eric quickly placed his hand around Haknyeon's waist, the pair heading up the garden path. Sangyeon watched with amusement when Eric ducked down to pick a flower, putting it behind Haknyeon's ear. His brother had found his perfect match and Sangyeon was so glad it was Haknyeon. "They're so cute, when is it my turn?" Sunwoo whined, Sangyeon chuckling.

"You never know, your turn might happen very soon." Sangyeon said, voice a sight lilt due to him smirking. Sunwoo went a very vivid pink, looking at his hands when he realised Sangyeon was smirking at him.

"Our homes now." Sangyeon announced, turning left only to hit a busy road. They both groaned in sync, Sunwoo slumping his window. "Why does everyone work or live by extremely busy roads?" Sangyeon muttered, Sunwoo letting a small giggle. And they both realised they were stuck in a traffic jam, Sangyeon letting out a ton of profanities while Sunwoo just hit his head against the window.

"Might as well, get comfortable Sunflower, we're going to be here a while." Sangyeon said. Sunwoo froze, Sangyeon facing him after a few minutes of silence.

"Sunflower?" Sunwoo asked, nearly covering his face with his hands. Oh shit, he had given Sunwoo a random nickname on impulse. Sangyeon tilted his head, Sunwoo biting his lips. "I like it, I just wanna know why?" Sunwoo asked, Sangyeon biting his lip before actually thinking about it.

"Your name has Sun in it, also you've got sunflowers outside your house that you grow. You're also as pretty as sunflowers." Sangyeon explained, Sunwoo smiling, especially towards the end of Sangyeon's statement. The boy nodded before going off into a long thought.

The car crept forward before Sunwoo spoke up again. "As we're going to be here quite a while, might as well plan out the story." Sunwoo said, beginning to think aloud. "Do we keep the fact we're neighbours in it." Sunwoo asked, Sangyeon thinking about it.

"We were neighbours so we knew a little bit about each other already, but one day, you had to work on your day off and your cat, Juyeon was sick and nobody was available. So you asked me. And from there, we realised we had a lot of mutual friends and we realised that we knew each other slightly from childhood because of Eric." Sangyeon said, Sunwoo agreeing before perking up.

"I offered to make it up to you through dinner but you ended up paying for everything and then said it was fine and then said that you wanted to pay for this date accidentally." Sunwoo said, Sangyeon nodding in excitement. He drove forward again as Sunwoo continued his train of thought.

"And from there, we continued meeting up before eventually, you invited me over for dinner and asked me out." Sunwoo said, Sangyeon making a noise of agreement. "It's very romantic that." Sunwoo said wistfully, Sangyeon picking up on the pure endearment in his voice.

"Are you a romantic?" Sangyeon asked, Sunwoo turning to face him, his beautiful grin making an appearance as he nodded.

"Absolutely. Everyone says I'm a hopelessly romantic. I believe in soulmates, i mean my parents are platonic soulmates, despite their messy relationship, they had an amicable divorce and my mum still lives with my dad as they've realised they work so much better together as people who see each other as siblings than people who see other as romantic partners." Sunwoo said, some giggles making an appearance and his grin wide, Sangyeon nodding and encouraging him to continue. Sunwoo

"When I went to Japan with the dance group, I'd go about the busy streets because I hope I'd meet my soulmate. But I realised that I'd meet my soulmate, my destiny when the gods of love have chosen for us to meet." The boy giggled shyly, eyes sparkling as he continued to speak." But I do believe in love at first sight as well as fateful encounters, there's something so beautiful in those ideas that I can't help but believe in them." Sunwoo rambled, pausing to let out some more giggles.

"I must be boring you." Sunwoo whispered, Sangyeon whipping his head around to look at him in shock. There was no way Sangyeon was bored. Sangyeon was absolutely enthralled with how passionate Sunwoo was about this and despite that passion, he'd get all giggly and shy. Sangyeon adored the passion radiating from the boy, he could listen to him just talk about love for hours.

"Absolutely not, your passion for this stuff is actually making me rethink me choosing not to believe it." Sangyeon assured Sunwoo, the younger gasping at Sangyeon saying he doesn't believe it.

"How can hyung not believe in the destiny? How the gods must've failed you for you not to believe. Hyung, there's so much ways love can be so amazing and awe-inspiring. You can have soulmates of all kinds, Haknyeon and Eric are obviously romantically soulmates but then you get people like Chanhee and Kevin who just connect in the way only platonic soulmates can. You can also have familial soulmates, the family member that you know you'll be by their side, that'd you die for - clearly you have that bond with all your siblings which I envy. You can even find a familial soulmate in all of your pets. Hyung, I can't believe you don't believe in this stuff, it's mind-blowing." Sunwoo ranted, Sangyeon listening with pure elated joy at how ramped up the boy was at hearing Sangyeon didn't believe in the concept of destined love, soulmates and fated love.

"Why do you feel so passionate about it?" Sangyeon asked, Sunwoo thinking about it, plump lips pushed into a pout - Sangyeon wanted to kiss him so badly, especially after the energy released from boy as he talked about love.

"It's just that, while imagining the time before the meeting, i like the heart-fluttering feeling of imagining someone showing up. I also love the feelings of butterflies when thinking about meeting my soulmate and realising that I might've meet them already, I just haven't realised it yet. Also, the idea of fated love makes me so overwhelmed in a good way, the idea that there's someone's out there or even right by me right now, that I'm meant to spend the rest of my life with." Sunwoo whispered, glancing softly at Sangyeon as he said 'even right by me right now', Sangyeon blushing.

"What's your opinions on courting?" Sangyeon asked, Sunwoo picking up on his hint.

"It's absolutely adorable, I just love the idea of it. Why does Hyung ask?" Sunwoo asked as Sangyeon finally left the the traffic jam and winding down into a regular street, Sunwoo staring at him softly.

"Would you want to court someone, Sunflower?" Sangyeon asked, ignoring the fact his cheeks were flaming red but noticing Sunwoo was smiling at him. They drove in silence, Sangyeon deciding to pull into a store's car park, realising they were close to their apartment building.

"Hyung, are you asking me to court you?" Sunwoo asked, looking at him, eyes narrowed not in distrust but in interest. Sangyeon nodded, not trusting his voice. Sunwoo burst into a grin, pulling Sangyeon's hand to cup his cheek. "I accept, hyung." Sunwoo said, Sangyeon cheering before hugging the boy, Sunwoo laughing at how excited Sangyeon was.

"No kissing yet, sunflower." Sangyeon teased, chuckling as Sunwoo pouted before pulling him in for a second hug. "Though I only know courting through the more modernised romance ideals." Sangyeon admitted, Sunwoo giggling into Sangyeon's neck before pulling back.

"So, do that then, hyung." Sunwoo said, Sangyeon grinning at him before reluctantly fully separating from Sunwoo. Sunwoo fixed his seatbelt, smiling widely at Sangyeon. "Wait, if hyung grew up besides Minyoung - that means you can meet my parents!!" Sunwoo exclaimed, Sangyeon nodding as Sunwoo talked about how his dad will take a day from work.

"Though, you might need to deal with the shovel talk, Seokjin is really chill but the other three aren't. Especially because Taehyung and Seungmin couldn't do a shovel talk BECAUSE WHO DOES A SHOVEL TALK AGAINST SEONGHWA!!!" Sunwoo yelled, Sangyeon laughing heartily as he ranted about how wild his brothers were.

Sangyeon parked his car in the building's car park, helping Sunwoo out of the car. The pair headed up the stairs, Sunwoo giggling as Sangyeon made jokes. They reached the outside of Sunwoo's apartment, Sunwoo standing slightly inside his apartment while Sangyeon stood up straight by the door.

Sangyeon took Sunwoo's hand, leaving a kiss and smirking at the younger. "Goodnight, Sunflower." He whispered, Sunwoo turning bright pink and clinging to the wall. Sangyeon headed to his apartment, not knowing after Sunwoo has closed his door, the younger's knees gave in and he became a flustered mess on the floor.

Sangyeon headed into his apartment, stretching and immediately going to make dinners, the thoughts of a pretty flustered angel invading his head.

Sunwoo moaned as he took a bite of his burger, Sangyeon laughing as he took a chip. "It's so good." Sunwoo groaned, Sangyeon shaking his head before offering some ham to Juyeon the cat, the gray cat purring at him as he gave it some ham.

"Are you sure Juyeon is that much of a menace?" Sangyeon asked, Sunwoo raising his eyebrows at him before turning back to look his cat in the eye. Pink curls fell in front of his eyes, Sangyeon taking the opportunity to move them away from Sunwoo's eyes. Sunwoo smiled softly, still going pink.

Sangyeon had picked Sunwoo and Juyeon the cat up that morning, gasping when he saw he'd dyed his hair. 'Tickle me pink' was the colour he said it was dyed, Sangyeon gasping in pure awe and resisting the urge to kiss him right there on the spot.

Sangyeon also gave him the bracelet he'd gotten as a symbol of their courting, the necklace hidden in his bag. Sunwoo kept looking at it, even now as they sat eating their McDonalds. "You like it, Sunflower?" Sangyeon finally asked, the curiosity taking over him.

Sunwoo turned to him, eyes wide and sparkling even more than usual. "Hyung, I love it, it's gorgeous." Sunwoo said, voice sounding watery as all the emotion poured out into his speech.

Sangyeon looked at his sparkling eyes, his plump lips and pretty freckles, knowing immediately he wouldn't be able to resist himself from kissing Sunwoo. "Can I kiss you?" Sangyeon asked, Sunwoo nodding. Sangyeon put his lips on Sunwoo's, feeling the younger cup his cheeks softly.

Despite sitting in their car, midway through eating a McDonalds, their kiss was amazing and perfect for them. Sangyeon grinned before pulling back for air, Sunwoo smiling at him, eyes glazed over. "You're so gorgeous, but I'm going to hold out before the perfect moment to ask you out, Sunflower." Sangyeon said, Sunwoo nodding, smiling before going in for another kiss.

A petulant meow rang through the air, pair startling into pulling away from the other. Juyeon the cat looking very smug. "Maybe you are a menace like your father says." Sangyeon said to the cat, Juyeon meowing back in response. Sangyeon saw the attitude Sunwoo had only mentioned, the other softly watched as his baby and his true love interacted with each other.

"Let's get going, we're only 20 minutes away." Sangyeon announced, Sunwoo nodding before putting his seatbelt on, taking Juyeon into his lap and scratching his ears. The cat meowed, not startling at the sound of the car starting, Sangyeon smiling at the adorable sight besides him before heading to drive again.

Sunwoo cooed over Juyeon who was occasionally trying to nip at his owner's fingers, though he was mostly purring away as Sunwoo petted him and scratched him behind the ears or by the side of his neck.

They quickly reached Sangyeon's childhood home, Sangyeon noticing two familiar faces poking up at the window. Sangyeon helped Sunwoo properly put a collar and lead onto Juyeon the cat who meowed pitifully but didn't scratch or claw at them, almost like he knew they were doing it to keep him sad.

His two nephews rushed out of the house, Sangyeon running up to lift them into the air. They giggled happily as Sangyeon span them around, coming to a stop as Sunwoo stepped fully out of the car, Hoju now besides them and smiling happily at Sunwoo. Hoju took Howon, Sangyeon still holding onto Juwon while Sunwoo held Juyeon the cat.

Sunwoo's posture displayed how anxious he was, relaxing when Hoju waved at him. "Uncle, he's really pretty." Howon said, Sunwoo blessing them with his wide grin. Juwon nodded besides him, Sunwoo getting even happier.

"Are you the Kim Sunwoo I know from when Eric was a small but still gremlin child?" a warm voice asked, warmth of freshly baked bread drifting away from it. Sangyeon turned to face his mama, Sunjung standing tall, smile soft as she looked upon Sunwoo. Sunwoo shyly nodded, the woman beckoning him forward. "What's your cat's name?" Sunjung asked, Sunwoo smiling nervously at her.

"Juyeon." Sunwoo stammered out, the woman grinning widely at the name. As she petted the cat, she gave Sunwoo a quick look over before nodding in approval. Sunwoo looked at Sangyeon, looking even more small as his timid nature made an appearance.

"That's a wonderful name. And he looks a lot like his namesake. Sangyeon, you've got a treasure with this boy, you better treat him right." Sunjung warned her son, Sangyeon nodding in fear because his mama took warnings very seriously. "Come on in Sunwoo and we'll get you settled." Sunjung announced, Sunwoo nodding before letting the woman guide him into the house.

"SANGYEON, GET THE LUGGAGE AND TAKE IT UP TO YOUR ROOM, DON'T MAKE THE PRETTY BOY LIFT A SINGLE FINGER!!" was yelled from the door, Sangyeon's mum standing at the door. Minwoo smiled at her wife, Sangyeon nodding before setting Howon on the ground.

"If you want to play with Juyeon the cat, you'll need to ask Sunwoo politely and listen to everything he says. Remember, you guys are strangers to Juyeon so he might freak out if you don't listen to Sunwoo's instructions." Sangyeon reminded his nephews, the pair nodding before running into the house. "Go inside noona, make sure they don't freak Sunwoo out either. I'll be fine, I lift weights at the gym often, this isn't much different." Sangyeon reassured his noona, Hoju nodding before heading inside.

Sangyeon carried most of the bags one by one, quickly smiling as he saw Eric sitting on the staircase as he took the last two inside in one go. "Want help, hyung?" Eric asked, doing a small signal to show he wanted to talk to Sangyeon in private. Sangyeon nodded, Eric grabbing two bags while Sangyeon grabbed the other three. "Why do you have so many things?" Eric asked, Sangyeon looking at him like it should be obvious.

"We've had to bring Sunwoo's cat as he doesn't feel good about putting him in a shelter and no one would take care of Juyeon the cat for over a week." Sangyeon explained, Eric realising the bags must contain essential stuff for Juyeon the cat.

They dumped everything in Sangyeon's childhood room, Sangyeon already feeling nostalgic at seeing little toy cars or the insect nets leaning against the wall by his closet. Eric quickly scooted to the Polaroids on the pinboard, immediately pointing at one. Sangyeon took a look quickly chuckling. It was of him, Minyoung, Hongjoong, Chris and Jacob with Eric photobombing them.

"What did you want to talk about?" Sangyeon asked, Eric looking quite nervous before darting to his room. Sangyeon sat on his bed as Eric came back, pulling a small box from out of his jumper pocket. Eric opened it, Sangyeon immediately grinning at the ring with a beautiful ruby tangerine decoration.

"Youngjaeeeeeeeeeee." Sangyeon whisper-yelled, pulling Eric into a bear hug. Eric laughed happily, quickly putting the box somewhere safe. "When do you plan to propose?" Sangyeon asked, Eric going pink before clearing his throat.

"Tomorrow, when everyone has arrived." Eric announced, Sangyeon beaming before pulling him into a second hug. Eric laughed, hugging Sangyeon tightly back. "I've yet to tell Juyeon because I also want to tell him about it in person. Minyoung texted me that day after you gave us all a lift home so they've known for two weeks now." Eric explained, Sangyeon not even having to ask anything.

"My baby brother is going to propose." Sangyeon said, getting quite emotional. Eric laughed, shoving him before realising Sangyeon was actually emotional and not joking about. They went for a third hug, Eric laughing as Sangyeon tried to wave the tears away.

"Why is Sangyeon-hyung crying?" was asked, followed by Juyeon the cat's meowing, which somehow sounded concerned. Sangyeon sat up to see Sunwoo standing in his bedroom, realising that he was wearing a slightly cropped t-shirt. Eric invited Sunwoo to sit down, Sunwoo immediately sitting besides Sangyeon.

"I'm going to propose to Haknyeon tomorrow." Eric said, Sunwoo gasping before crushing Eric in a hug. Eric laughed before choking, Sunwoo laughing and squealing with excitement. Sunwoo pulled back, squeezing Eric's cheeks while the youngest let his best friend do this.

They sat talking about life, Eric teasing Sunwoo about the bracelet while Sunwoo made himself comfortable on Sangyeon's bed, looking right at home. After a while, there was a knock and Sangyeon knew just from Eric's whipped expression it was Haknyeon. The smell of tangerine wafted through the room, giving everyone, especially Eric, a sense of comfort.

Haknyeon slowly entered the room before tiredly sitting on Eric's lap, obviously just woken up from a nap. "Did you sleep well, kitty-cat?" Eric asked, the couple lost in their own world while Sunwoo and Sangyeon just glanced at each other and somehow managed to successfully hide their laughter.

"Mhmm, but I could've slept better - you weren't there to cuddle me." Haknyeon grumbled, looking a lot like a disgruntled kitten. Eric chuckled softly, Sangyeon feeling like he shouldn't even be in his own room at the moment.

"I'm sorry, kitty-cat, I'll make it up to you." Eric murmured, Haknyeon looking up, eyes widening as he realised they had an audience. Eric just grinned, he was never one to shy away from showing his love publicly.

"Hi, Hakhak." Sunwoo murmured, stretching on Sangyeon's bed like he was going to fall asleep. Haknyeon's eyes suddenly narrowed in on the bracelet, quickly connecting the dots and leaping out of Eric's lap. Sunwoo only laughed and became a deadweight as Haknyeon tried to pull him up. Haknyeon whined, Sunwoo giving mercy to the shortest, standing up.

Haknyeon pulled him out of the room, the pair already chatting, though for once, you wouldn't be able to hear their voices as Sangyeon's mother's believed Sangyeon and Sunwoo were full-on dating. "I'm off to shower, driving and sweating are an illegal combination, I swear." Eric complained, Sangyeon grunting in response before falling onto his bed.

He felt a sudden weight on him and then heard purrs as Juyeon curled up on his back. Guess Sangyeon can't get up now. The cat overlord as decided that he is being used as a bed and Sangyeon must obey the cat overlord.

After a while, Sangyeon had nearly dozed off when he heard someone softly enter his room and close the door. "Hyung, is it alright if I join you?" Sunwoo asked, Sangyeon tapping the spot next to him in response. Sangyeon grinned at Sunwoo's small giggle when he spotted Juyeon had decided to nestle himself onto the crook of Sangyeon's back.

Sangyeon heard some rustling about before the weight on his back disappeared, he was going to be disappointed until he saw that Sunwoo had made Juyeon the cat a nice and soft bed on Sangyeon's old gaming chair for him to sleep in. Sangyeon turned onto his back, Sunwoo quickly getting in the gap between him and the wall before curling up to Sangyeon.

"Hey." Sangyeon whispered, Sunwoo smiling and nuzzling his head into Sangyeon's shoulder. Sangyeon bent his head down to peck Sunwoo's forehead before pulling the boy close to his chest, happily dozing off peacefully as he heard Sunwoo's breath even out.

Sunwoo was buzzing with barely contained excitement to the point Sangyeon had to take him out in the case Haknyeon would question Sunwoo. Sunwoo's family lived in the big city that was only 5 minutes away by train so he never really got to see the town. So, they have been having an impromptu date, Sangyeon taking Sunwoo to his favourite local café, taking him to see all the monuments throughout town and more importantly, taking Sunwoo to see the absolutely massive library they were blessed with.

Sangyeon had thought he'd never find Sunwoo again but the younger soon eventually made his way to bench where Sangyeon was sitting outside, quickly demanding Sangyeon's hand. Sangyeon gave him what he wanted before letting the younger drag him around the park before letting go of his hand when Sunwoo noticed a swingset.

Sangyeon laughed as Sunwoo darted around the park, holding up leaves and laughing as he jumped about. It was soon time to head home and Sangyeon noticed with the extreme softness with how Sunwoo moved, their mini date had exhausted Sunwoo.

Sunwoo quickly came back over, taking Sangyeon's again and accepting his date's pecks to his cheeks. Sangyeon clasped Sunwoo's hand in his own, smiling as he realised Sunwoo's hands are tiny compared to his, small palms with slim fingers that only made Sangyeon's fingers look thick besides his. Sangyeon knew he was ready to see his family, excited to finally see his parents after not seeing them for ages.

They walked home, Sunwoo getting a bit excited but not like before. Sangyeon hummed a few songs as they walked, smiling at Sunwoo before they reached Sangyeon's mother's homes. Sangyeon opened the door, smiling widely as he saw a group of people. Sunwoo waved before getting swooped into a hug suddenly, Sunwoo giggling.

"Seonghwa-hyung!!!" Sunwoo yelled, Seonghwa laughing before letting Sunwoo go. Sangyeon moved forward, Seonghwa leaning forward to accept his hug while Sunwoo got squished by his older brothers. Sangyeon glanced to see Seungmin standing at the side while Taehyung and Seokjin flattened Hongjoong, Sunwoo having rolled to the side to save himself.

Sangyeon looked up as he heard someone clear their throat, grinning as he spotted Jaehyun. Juyeon popped his head out of the room, rushing to give his brother a hug. "Hey, little bro." Sangyeon whispered, Juyeon hugging him tightly. Juyeon didn't need to tell him the news of his new boyfriends, the same way he didn't have to tell Juyeon about him and Sunwoo courting - they just knew.

"Oh, Juyeonnie, wait two seconds, I've got someone you'll want to meet." Sunwoo suddenly instructed, running up the stairs. Sangyeon shook his head, smiling softly as he knew exactly what Sunwoo was going to do. Sunwoo came back down the stairs, carrying a bundle of cat in his arms.

"Juyeon, meet Juyeon the Cat!!! Juyeon, meet Juyeon the human, your namesake!!" Sunwoo introduced, holding Juyeon the cat up besides Juyeon. Damn, Sunwoo was right in naming him Juyeon, they both held the exact same curious expression. Juyeon the cat was exactly how Juyeon would look as a cat

Juyeon let out a big grin, which turned into open-mouth grin as Sunwoo offered for him to hold Juyeon the cat. Everyone awed as Juyeon took Juyeon the cat, the cat meowing up at his namesake, Sangyeon smiling as Juyeon laughed openly and unabashedly, taking Juyeon with him so he could sit down on the couch.

"Where's papa and mama?" Sunwoo asked his brothers, the four of them looking at each other before Sangyeon watched Sunwoo's expression drop. "They're not coming, are they?" Sunwoo asked, Hongjoong deciding to take the bullet by being the one to confirm. Sunwoo nodded, smile appearing but it was watery like his eyes.

"I'm going to the bathroom real quick." Sunwoo quietly said, rushing up the stairs. The five men left downstairs didn't look at each other, an uncomfortable tension hanging in the air. None of them noticed the pair of legs sitting by the corner of the stairs, Sunwoo only going upstairs to hold one of Sangyeon's childhood teddies. Sangyeon went to head up after him, feeling a tug on his wrist.

"If you hurt him or break his heart, which i doubt you will, I will hunt you down and they won't find the body. And my brothers will assist me." Seungmin warned, Sangyeon nodding and gulping in slight fear.

"But we doubt you will as we trust Sunwoo and Sunwoo only trusts good people. Seungmin might be the youngest but Sunwoo is the true baby of our family. Please take care of our baby brother." Seokjin asked, overwhelming Sangyeon to the point he could nod. Seokjin then headed into the living room, Taehyung nodding at him while Seungmin smiled. Hongjoong stood there, Sangyeon looking the shorter in the eye before Hongjoong looked up the stairs.

"Sunwoo, come out." Hongjoong requested, Sangyeon noticing a leg by the stairs before it quickly disappeared. Hongjoong shook his head and sighed.

"You're a good man Sangyeon, a perfect and extremely suitable match for Sunwoo. I won't do the shovel-talk, not when Sunwoo has finally found his soulmate." Hongjoong smiled at him, Sangyeon nodding and blushing, overjoyed at getting Sunwoo's family's approval. He won't need Sunwoo's parents' approval, not when his brothers have already given it. Hongjoong nodded at him before heading into the living room.

Sangyeon headed up the stairs, coming across a smiling Sunwoo. Sangyeon cooed when he saw Sunwoo was holding his favourite teddie, a polar bear plush named Mr. Snow "Hey Sunflower, was Mr. Snow keeping you company?" Sangyeon asked, crouching down in front of Sunwoo who nodded.

Sunwoo's eyes began to tear up, face crumpling into a sob. Sangyeon let Sunwoo pull him into a hug, wrapping his arms around his torso, Sunwoo crying into his neck. Sangyeon rubbed his back, Sunwoo sniffling into his neck after a few minutes of sobbing."I'm sorry about your parents not coming, I know you were so excited for me to meet them and for you to finally see them in person again." Sangyeon whispered into Sunwoo's hair, rubbing soft circles into his back.

Sunwoo pulled back from the hug, letting Sangyeon wipe away the stray tears still on his face. "It's hurts but my brothers giving you their approval makes me feel better. My parents' approval doesn't matter because my bothers were there to meet you first, especially when they know how much their opinion matters to me." Sunwoo said, Sangyeon freezing as Sunwoo smiled softly at him.

"You heard all of that?" Sangyeon asked, Sunwoo nodding and giggling. Sunwoo seemed to have the idea to use Sangyeon's sudden freezing to move Sangyeon's hair out of his eyes and give him a kiss on the nose. Sangyeon pulled Sunwoo into a kiss, the pair laughing happily away into each other's arms.

"Do you wanna head downstairs? If Seonghwa is here - that means only one thing." Sangyeon said, Sunwoo perking up as they heard familiar voices and laughs.

"MINYOUNG, MICHIO AND MINGYUK ARE HERE!!!" Sunwoo yelled, pulling Sangyeon up and running downstairs, still holding tightly to Mr. Snow. Sangyeon had his eyes only on Sunwoo as they entered the living room, adoration swelling in his heart as Mr. Snow, who had brought him comfort for many years had provided Sunwoo with that same comfort.

"SUNWOO!!!!!" was yelled, Sangyeon startled out of being whipped for Sunwoo, Sunwoo being spun around by his gremlin of a best friend. Sangyeon quickly rushed to accept Mingyuk and Michio's hugs, the pair being second fathers to him. Mingyuk squished his cheeks, Sangyeon getting embarrassed but letting him do so.

Michio, Minyoung's biological father, was taller than almost everyone in the house at 6'0 while his partner, Mingyuk was only just taller than his mum, standing at 5'10. Sangyeon felt a sense of protection fall over him as he hugged the pair, them being taller than him making him feel extreme comfort.

Minyoung had stopped spinning Sunwoo around, letting the boy also get swept up in Mingyuk and Michio's group hug, laughing happily. Sangyeon headed into the kitchen, smiling as Jacob and Seonghwa helped his mama with the cooking despite her protests that she'd be fine. Sangyeon decided to be another menace, getting a full scolding from Sunjung as he took the chopping board.

Sangyeon only smiled cheerfully at her, catching Sunwoo who was watching them. "Hey, Sunflower, what you staring at?" Sangyeon prodded, Sunwoo laughing as Sunjung noticed him and waved happily to him.

"The sweet scene of a tall, handsome son being nagged by his mother who's shorter but also very adorable in her own right." Sunwoo quipped back, winking at Sangyeon when he said handsome, Sangyeon only used to being the one doing the flirting, not being flirted with.

"Oh my god, that's too adorable, my heart's going to give out." Eric said, Sunwoo jumping back like a raccoon would after being caught raiding through the trash despite being told not to. Sunjung faced her bio son, tapping on the nose with the spoon she was going to use. Eric only chuckled, smile the exact copy of his mother's.

"Are you nervous, sweetheart?" she asked, Seonghwa and Jacob perking up. Eric nodded, Sunjung hugging him. "He'll say yes, my little pup." She assured, Eric nodding before turning to Sangyeon. Sangyeon also nodding, Eric smiling widely, gaining his confidence. Seonghwa and Jacob had connected the dots, Eric laughing as Seonghwa squished him.

The big dinner table was set, Minyoung, Taehyung, Michio and Jaehyun struggling to push it into the living room, Juyeon and Jacob working with Haknyeon and Eric to push the couches to the wall. Sunwoo would occasionally bump his hip against Sangyeon's as they laid down cutlery, eyes sparkling as Sangyeon's met his. Sangyeon would only laugh, but sometimes he'd catch Sunwoo's fingers within his, Sunwoo getting flustered.

Dinner was a peaceful affair, those who knew about Eric's plan teasing him. Hoju had finally arrived, the babysitter being late. Sunjung and Michio were placed together at Seokjin's planning, everyone finding their height difference hilarious. Minwoo had quickly decided to embarrass her sons. Sangyeon had hidden his face while Minwoo recounted the time Sangyeon had tripped while carrying a ladybug, cried because he thought it had been crushed, only to cry again when he realised it was actually alive.

Sunwoo's eyes were way too sparkly and looking a way too bushy-tailed for Sangyeon to feel like he isn't going to be teased. Juyeon had laughed only for Hoju to laugh and everyone knew it was Juyeon's turn. Hoju talked in her soft tone about the time Juyeon ripped his pants after underestimating how flexible he was while sliding his legs to side in middle school. Eric had let out a little snort and Sangyeon just reminded everyone of the fact Eric ran away from a goose. And Juyeon also brought up the time he stumbled and ended up in the lake.

They all moved into the living room, Sangyeon watching as Minyoung waited for the signal, the gremlin grinning as they got it, turning off the lights as Sangyeon casually turned on the fairy lights. 'Dancing Queen' was being played, Eric pulling Haknyeon to dance. As they danced, Haknyeon giggling as he was twirled around. Sangyeon pulled Sunwoo to his side, giggling together as Haknyeon and Eric danced.

As it hit the second chorus, Eric pulled away and went onto his knee. Haknyeon's hands went up to cover the lower half of his face, eyes sparkling as he teared up. Eric pulled out the box, Haknyeon letting out a gasp. "Hey, kitty-cat, my love, Ju Haknyeon, will you do me the honour of being my husband?" Eric asked, Haknyeon nodded.

"Yes, yes, oh god, yes." Haknyeon yelled, everyone bursting into cheers. Sangyeon squeezed Sunwoo, watching as Haknyeon's hand shook as Eric put the ring on. Eric then flew upwards, pulling Haknyeon into a kiss before pulling back to look Haknyeon in the eye, wiping away tears on his cheek. Sangyeon then spotted a glint in Eric's eyes, his little brother was also crying.

Everyone got up to congrats them, Sangyeon deciding then was the time to sweep Juyeon, Hoju and Eric into his arms. "Our little brother is getting married." Juyeon let out, Sangyeon not surprised he was emotional as Sangyeon and their noona were also emotional. Haknyeon wiggled into the hug, Sangyeon removing his arm from around Juyeon's shoulder so Sunwoo could slip in. Jaehyun and Jacob also ended up in the hug, Minyoung being the last to join.

"Minyoung and Sunwoo helped me pick the ring." Eric said, Haknyeon letting out a small gasp before hugging Minyoung, the elder laughing as Haknyeon began to tear up again.

"Noonaaaaaa." Haknyeon whined, Minyoung smiling down at him, emotional for their Jeju junior. The two Jeju-borne hugged, Haknyeon pouting as they pulled away from him. Haknyeon then turned to Sunwoo, hugging him extremely tightly. Sunwoo must've known Eric was planning to propose but didn't know the exact date.

They all broke up so Minwoo and Sunjung could look at the ring, Michio and Mingyuk hugging and congratulating Eric. Wine was brought out to celebrate, Sangyeon taking the photos for them, smiling as a small tagged notification showed up on his phone. Eric and Haknyeon both seemed to be glowing, Sunwoo as well.

Eventually, everyone headed back to their hotel, houses or their rooms. Eric and Haknyeon headed to Eric's room, Juyeon the cat following them and nuzzling into Haknyeon's legs as they said goodnight. Sangyeon was supporting an extremely sleepy Sunwoo, eyes showing his smile as he watched Eric pick up Juyeon the cat and carry him into Sangyeon's room for the night before coming back to carry his boyfriend into his own room, Haknyeon laughing, smile bright as Eric carried him bridal style.

Sangyeon fell asleep to the happy laughter of Eric and Haknyeon, to the murmurs of conversation between Juyeon, Jacob and Jaehyun at the stairs and Sunwoo's soft snores. This was the best holiday he's ever had he thought, kissing the sleeping angel besides him on the forehead before drifting off.

It'd been two weeks since the holiday, Haknyeon and Eric sending constant updates about their life as fiancés. But they had also been helping him plan a very important dinner, Haknyeon coming over to show him how to properly cook some menus, ring glinting under Sangyeon's light.

Juyeon the Cat was now a common guest, Sangyeon installing a cat flap in both his and Sunwoo's doors. Sunwoo had been so overjoyed that he'd kissed him, leading to a long make-out session on Sangyeon's hanging chair. Sangyeon had never seen a prettier sight that Sunwoo with flushed cheeks, lip swollen, eyes sparkling and hair messy and unruly.

Sangyeon set the table, checking over his outfit for the final time, the necklace sitting in it's box by the kettle. Juyeon the Cat had already made his appearance, curling up into Mr. Snow, Sangyeon had brought him home. Sangyeon looked around his house one more time, smoothing out his shirt before grinning as someone knocked at the door.

Sangyeon opened the door, Sunwoo standing outside. Sangyeon nearly had a heart attack when he saw Sunwoo was wearing a black flowy shirt tucked into high-waisted jeans, highlighting his waist. "You're fucking gorgeous, are you trying to kill me, Sunflower?" Sangyeon said, Sunwoo laughing before stepping into Sangyeon's apartment.

"Maybe I am, hyung? But bugboy, you are so extremely handsome, my poor little heart can't handle it." Sunwoo responded, Sangyeon smiling at the little nickname. Ever since the ladybug story, Sunwoo has been calling him bugboy.

Sangyeon took Sunwoo’s hand, leading him to the table, Sunwoo laughing as he spotted Juyeon. Sunwoo went to take a seat at the table but Sangyeon was not able to stop himself from running his hands through Sunwoo's hair, loving messing it up and making his natural waves appear. Sunwoo only rolled his eyes, pouting at Sangyeon who quickly dove in for a quick kiss.

Sunwoo let himself be pushed into the chair, Sangyeon sorting out their dinner and plating it. Sunwoo sighed appreciatively, Sangyeon's ego boosting at knowing Sunwoo was finding this attractive. He set the plates down, Sunwoo waiting til he was also sitting down.

Sunwoo dug in, eyes widening with amazement before taking an even larger bite. "Hyung, you'll have to cook for me more now, it's so good." Sunwoo moaned, Sangyeon chuckling his head at Sunwoo's pleasure. Sangyeon's ego just keeps being boosted when he's around Sunwoo.

"If we're going to date, I'll definitely have more opportunities to cook for you if you wish." Sangyeon said, glancing up at Sunwoo who had frozen in place before his cheeks flushed as he realised what Sangyeon was implying. "You never told me what topaz means?" Sangyeon teased, Sunwoo staring at him in shocked glee.

"It means love." Sunwoo whispered, holding his breath as Sangyeon pulled forward a box. Sunwoo covered his mouth, gummy smile making a rare appearance. Sangyeon took out another box, revealing a diamond necklace, Sunwoo slowly taking the other box and opening. Sunwoo gasped as he saw the topaz necklace, Sangyeon smiling at him.

"Sunwoo, I love you so much. You mean the world to me, I've learnt so much together and I've came to realise that fated love does exist as I fell in love with you at first sight. I realised during our courtship that we click in the right way, like we're the last two puzzle pieces in a jigsaw. So, will you be my boyfriend?" Sangyeon asked, nervousness travelling through his veins with excitement.

Sunwoo pulled Sangyeon into a kiss, smiling happily into the kiss. "Yes, I'll be your boyfriend." Sunwoo said, Sangyeon standing up and pulling Sunwoo up so he can kiss him properly. Sunwoo have Sangyeon the necklace to put on, the topaz gem glinting beautiful.

"It's gorgeous." Sunwoo said, holding him tightly before giggling as Sangyeon pecked him all over.

"Diamonds symbolises love and so does topaz." Sangyeon whispered, Sunwoo nodding before kissing Sangyeon softly.

Right there, right then, Sangyeon realised as he kissed Sunwoo that he had found his flame, his perfect match. And Sunwoo realised that too.

They began to dance, a perfect image of a happy couple, dancing together in an apartment, a cat snuggled into a childhood teddy bear

A few years down the line, you'll find them doing the same, dancing in their kitchen but the only difference being two wedding bands, one with topaz stones and one with diamond stones.
