Boom omg Eden and veince are now mates for life (insert wedding photos here and also the whole uhm mating process 😀) wow so cool fast forward to present day
Veince woke up and started his day like any other, brushing his teeth and then going 1downstairs and cooking breakfast (I want pancakes now, also malewife veince 😻 /j)
Eden woke up only a couple of minutes later, going downstairs and seeing his alpha cooking (like the malewife he is /j) he went up behind and hugged his waist while resting his head on the others shoulder "morning.." Eden said in a soft whisper "good morning to you as well" veince said as he continued making the pancakes (I just imagine him in a little apron and it's adorable)
After veince finished cooking they ate breakfast, showered (together? We may never know) and went to their boring everyday jobs
But then that night..
"Eden" veince said suddenly while they were in bed together, Eden only replied with a questioning 'hm?' veince continued "I have this business trip I can go on but I don't know if i should" he finished, waiting for Eden to answer "why wouldnt you go?" Eden questioned, money is money after all
"Well its longer than usual business trips , and i probably won't be home by the time your heat comes around" (Peter... The heat is here 😧) "I can handle it, they've gotten mild so I'll be fine" he said reassuringly "okay.. If you say so, I'll be leaving in a couple of days or so"
Fast forward to when veince has already left
They agreed to facetime every day just so both of them knew that the other was still alive and well
It was weird being alone in the house, they've been together for so long that now its weird not constantly having someone there, but he'd be fine, he promised veince he'd be fine
The facetimes made it easier, a lot easier, an omega not having their alpha while their heat is coming up was going to be painful to say the least
But then.. Veince just stopped calling, at first he had an excuse but then the excuses stopped as well.. Eden figured it was nothing, that he was just busy with whatever project he was working on, he still texted him everyday so I guess that was enough
What he didn't know was veince found another omega on the trip.. And all those texts were written and sent while in that other omegas bed..
Eden woke up and felt weird and hot 'already..?' he thought to himself, it was unusual for his symptoms to start so early, luckily he already built a nest and had premade, both for him and their cat so it wouldnt go hungry
He went and ate breakfast and showered, probably the last shower he would be having for a few days so he tried to enjoy it, and then he went back to bed, he already told his boss about the situation so everything was all set
Their cat jumped into the bed as well and cuddled up next to Eden, Eden just scrolled through his until he fell asleep, trying to ignore the uncomfortable feeling of slick running down the insides of his thighs (EDEN I AM SO SORRY PLEASE DONT BLOCK ME I'M SORRY PLEASE THIS IS THE ONLY TIME I'M MENTIONING THE SLICK I SWEAR- 😭😭😭😭)
The next time he woke up he felt even more uncomfortable, his clothes didn't feel right, it felt like he was on a stove and the pain in his stomach got worse, he thought his heats became tamer but that was only cause veince was there
Then he started coughing, and something came out.. Petals..? He just coughed more and more petals, he knew what this was but didn't want to believe it, he couldn't believe it
'petals..?' he thought to himself, he knew it could only mean one thing and he didn't know how to handle it, should he confront veince? Could he even do that? He didn't know.. So he decided to ignore it, he'd be fine, he promised, he'd be fine..
Every second it got worse, he started coughing full flowers by the time the second week came around, he felt like couldnt breath sometimes, and that combined with his heat, he felt like shit, and that was being nice
Meanwhile veince fell deeper and deeper in love with this other omega, he almost forgot about the omega he had at home, almost.. He kept texting Eden, never calling, just texting but Eden never replied back, he just thought his phone was off or he was sleeping or something
It was getting harder and harder to do anything, Eden felt so shit and he couldn't do anything about it, he shouldnt have let him go to that work trip, he felt regret in every bone, he could feel his lungs and heart get more and more filled with flowers, purple hellebores, the ones veince always got him, such a beautiful flower..
He was dying, and no one was there to see him one final time, no one to take care of him, or reassure him that it'd be okay, just him and his cat, at least veinces last memories of him would be something good, right?
Everyday the beautiful flower filled his lungs more and more until it left no more room for air to come in
He layed in bed, dying in his sleep, thinking about what happened? why did veince stop loving him all of the sudden? And how would veince react to the sight of him, on their bed, laying peacefully "asleep" as the flowers took over his body, inside out
