"Hermione."
She didn't look at him.
"Hermione."
She looked up at him, eyes burning with anger. "What?"
"I'm sorry."
"Okay. Bye." She started to walk away, when Draco grabbed ahold of her arm and turned her around to face him. She looked at him, he hadn't said anything. His hands were still holding her arm. It had hurt a bit, but she doubted he meant for it to hurt in the first place. "What do you want? I have to go."
"I made a mistake..."
"You had your chance, Draco." She struggled to get out of his hold. He wouldn't let go. She glared at him hatefully, "Let me go."
He stood there for a moment, watching her, not moving his hand, then sighed and let go.
Hermione looked at him for awhile, then started to leave when Draco grabbed a hold of her waist and pressed them against each other.
"What the fu---" Hermione began to say, until Draco kissed her roughly. At first she fought against it, then gave up and placed her hands on his cheeks, deepening the kiss. He pressed her against the wall, there was no way to excape. She broke the kiss with a gasp and pushed him. "What the hell was that?!"
"A kiss?"
"No. That wasn't a kiss." She made sure he was at least arm's length away from her. "What's wrong with you?" She felt the tears forming in her eyes, one slipped away and ran down her cheek.
Draco moved closer when he saw the tear. "I'm... I'm sorry."
"You're going out with Pansy!" She moved away from him.
"Yeah. I know." Draco sighed, as he ran his fingers through his hair. "Fuck." He swore silently. "I didn't mean for this to happen."
Hermione laughed harshly. "Fuck, you-- fuck." She began walking back and forth, occasionally mumbling to herself and looking up at times only to scowl at Draco. “Why?” She stopped and looked at him. “Why now?”
He sighed. “I don’t know. You haven’t talked to me for a month, not a single word. I tried to get your attention to talk to you and what do I get? Nothing.” Draco said bitterly. “The question you should think about telling me, is why you ignored me and why after two months with no sign of you acknowledging me, you finally talk to me.”
“You know why.”
“What?”
Hermione didn’t say anything.
“Hermione. Why weren’t you talking to me?” He folded his arms across his chest. “Tell me.”
“Why should I? I’m no one, Draco. Why should Draco Malfoy, the… popular, good-looking asshole, think once about me, Hermione Granger. The nerdy, invisible girl?”
“What are you talking about?”
“You! I hate you!”
“Get over yourself, 'Mione.” He said angrily. “I’ve done nothing to you.”
“Like hell you have!”
“What then?”
“Nothing,” She looked down at the floor, “nothing.”
“It’s not nothing---”
“I said it was nothing, Malfoy!” She stormed away.
“Is it about Pansy?” He yelled after her.
Hermione stopped, her heart felt like it was caught in her throat.
"It is isn’t it?”
She didn’t say anything. “I’m sorry?” said Draco again. Unsure of what he could possibly say.
She snorted, “Yeah, sorry.”
“Well what else can I say?”
“You can say nothing. Just… leave me alone.”
“No.”
“Dra--”
"I didn't---"
"You're not worth my time anymore. Leave me alone." She turned around. Draco didn't move. "Why are you still here?!" She walked up to him clutching her fists together. "Go!" She raised her hand and pointed to the hallway.
"You can't ignore me forever Hermione." Draco said as he pushed off the wall.
"Yes, I can." She turned away.
"Admit it, Hermione. You loved that kiss didn't you?"
She clutched her hands together, she felt her nails digging into her palm. "Shut up Draco."
"No, I will if you admit that you're going to spend the whole night thinking about me---"
"Shut up!" She yelled.
He ignored her outburst and continued. "Thinking about why I kissed you. What it meant. That if I'll think about you, when I'm kissing---"
He didn't finish, Hermione had punched him in the face so hard that he hit the back of his head on the wall. He hold his head, while he groaned in pain. Hermione was furious, chest heaving. "Don't ever talk to me again."
She took off down the hallway, ignoring the calls of her name from Draco who was lying on the ground.
