Sun sighed, looking outside the daycare, looking as far as they could, they had a good view yet it was hard to see far away, the net and palms got in their way.. They just looked around, not thinking too much.. eventually they looked at the theater, oh, each time they looked at it, their system filled with sadness, yet there were only good memories of the place.. How they loved to play pretend there, how kids would create such amazing stories in the moment, no need for scripts just pure imagination..
How they could be the good ones, or the bad ones, how they could just hold each other and just dance.. Oh they missed the dances so much, just letting the music move them, how free they felt..
Another sigh,the yellow bot hugged themselves, looking down at their little kingdom, how small it felt, even if it was bigger than the theater, it felt like a cage.. A golden cage, full of color but no happiness.
It wasn't always like this; there was a time they were allowed to leave, to explore.. But that was too long ago, so long that they got lost the first time Moon was allowed to leave,the staff forgot to update his map and so they felt so lost that night, thankfully they found a mapbot, that's when they noticed how things changed..
Changes, Sun used to be ok with them, a little surprise each day, it was fine.. But those changes started to be troublesome.. And painful..One day they were two, the next just one.. One day they felt important, the next it was like they were talking scrap..
One night they were innocent and the next they felt dirty.. The hug was tight now, Sun used to love surprises.. Now they often worry what may happen tomorrow..
Sunny curled on himself, each memory left like a small stab on their chest, each good memory now felt like a sad one.. But they couldn't help it, as much as they love to remember, it hurt to do so..
Moon softly shushes them, a ghost feeling on his back, trying to comfort them.. Oh.. They were crying, there were no tears but their voice box glitched with sobs and whimpers.. Sun tried to stop the cries, yet Moon told them it was ok to let it out
"you keep bottling your emotions my love, that's not good.. Let them out, no one will hear anyways.. Just.. Let them out" Moon spoke in such a soft voice, so gentle, Sun always fell for that side of his dear Moonie, a side no one but them saw.. Moon was always so gentle yet people always failed to see it, calling him mean or creepy, they felt hurt each time anyone insulted his Moonlight, the poor, loving, gentle and good Moonie.
Sun let out more sobs, people were always so mean to them, and they couldn't understand why, why the staff stopped to love them, why parents would be so mean sometimes, why kids would call them mean names.. Why? They were good, they worked hard, they did as told!.. Yet people would still be mean, especially staff.. The staff used to be so nice.. Back then, when Bonnie would sing with Freddy, and Foxy was quite famous around the pizza plex, and everyone was encouraged to meet the customers, back then people were nicer, scared too, but nicer after they met them..
Back then, life was easy.. He couldn't fully meet the singing animals, but the chance was always there in each birthday party, Sun would dance to their music with Moon, and they both would have such a good time.. And after everyone left, Sun would promise to go and meet the band just to back up at the idea of messing up somehow, Moon would try to push his Sunbeam out of their section of the plex but Sun would just shiver and run around with silly worries, then just promise to meet them the next day..
Oh.. Life sure was easy back then, when the worry was to make a good impression.. Then the plex changed, to be bigger.. They had a chance of clothes, Sun was so full of hope. Maybe they could get a little show too!
Then DJ was introduced, oh Moon adored him from day one, they remembered the day he was out, kids were so scared of him, but soon loved him too, the spider had so many tunes to dance to! Moon was more easy going back then, and adore to be a bit spooky and scare bad kids, DJ would play along with spooky tunes,they became quite the chaotic duo
Sun loved to see Moon having fun with a friend, back then only Foxy would visit them, the rest was busy with staff or kids,Bonnie would visit too but not often.. the pirate wasn't a fan of the huge attention from staff, only wanted to mess around with kids and play pretend all day and night.
Sun loved to play along, he and Eclipse , his close friend, adore to hang out with the pirate, yet Sun felt like Eclipse wanted more than be friends with him
Yet nothing could flourish.. After one night Foxy was decommissioned.. No one knew what happened, why he was gone like that.. Everyone was heartbroken, one more than others, but everyone would miss their captain..
Then new rules appeared, suddenly Sun nor Moon were allowed out of their area, no one told them why.. Oh Sun remember that night, they felt so scared, they used to think they did something wrong yet their Moonie, oh such a loving bot, calmed them down with their loving voice.. Some things ever changed.. Their Moonie never stopped to make them feel better, even in the darkest of times, their love was so healing..
More sobs came out, this time more calmed down..
It was almost time, the light would turn off and Moonie would come out.. Yet, Sun didn't want this to happen, their mindscape could feel even more small than the daycare.. It felt claustrophobic to just be code and look out like a spectator in their own body.. But they just sucked it up and tried to calm down, pretending to breathe in and out, it helped to just think of something else..
The lights never turned off.. And Moon took notice of this, it wasn't like he was eager to go out but the light never stood off like this, not after the strange evil virus was cured.. Sun looked around, confused too, then they saw a dark figure passing near their balcony, just where the slide was, fear took over, it didn't look like any staff member, and no adults used the slide!
They tried to look around , but no one was there.. Then a noise, it sounded metallic, Sun rushed inside their room, hiding inside the abandoned toy house, Moon told Sun to let him out, he would fight the shadow! But Sun didn't want that to happen, too scared to switch, and not wanting to see a fight, they just covered their eyes and shivered in silence hoping that the shadow would leave them alone..
More noise, and a step, two steps, three steps, and a loud thumb, and then.. Then..
"SUNNY!!" they felt a loud thumb, and a voice calling for them too loudly making the Sunny bot jump and scream in fear, then just curled on themselves begging loudly to not be hurt, the toy house falled on the wall leaving Sunny exposed to the terror behind them..
Once they finally dared to look, they saw two bright violet eyes, those two beautiful eyes of the Gator who was saying something.. Something.. Ah, he was apologizing..
The Gator was so confused and worried, it took Sun a moment to realize that the shadow was maybe Monty and the noise was just him walking in the room..the yellow bot finally came out of the toy house, apologizing for the scream, but Monty was more sorry for scary them
"I hear some sobs so I came as fast as I could" the Gator said, more relaxed, looking at the other’s face, they may lack tears to share, but the look on those eyes didn't fail to show the sadness of the bot, who continued to apologize for the reaction they had
"I'm so sorry.. We.. I didn't think someone would hear me.." Sun looked away, ashamed to be found like this,they now worry of what Monty may think of them.. Some things never change..
Monty laughed softly "well I didn't knock so.. My bad!.. But..is everything ok?"
The Gator knew they weren't ok, but didn't know how to ask without sounding pushy..
The yellow bot took a moment before looking up "yes.. It's just.. Silly stuff.. It's ok" they lied, even after what happened, Sunny felt like Monty was just asking to be polite and didn't actually care.. That was sadly an idea that stuck with them and was hard to take out.. But the Gator did cared, so they asked again
"Are you sure? I can help you with anything.. Did someone else try anything on you?"
"oh! No no!" Sunny waved their hands, before just moving them low "it's not serious! I promise! I'm just.. me being stupid hahah.." The bot forced a smile on their face, yet the Gator didn't buy it..
"don't say that.. You're never stupid, even if it's not serious, I hear you cry about it.."
"ahh.." Sunny looked away, even more ashamed, how could they even explain it? How could he just escape this scene? Moon whisper some ideas and they took them
"I'm sorry.. But I'm truly ok! I was just.. Ah.. Just cleaning my box voice! It's a bit painful but I'm all fine now! truly ah.. Monnie has to patrol now!"
Sun tried to walk away but the Gator loud sight took them by surprise
"Sun.. Its Friday, it's Moon day off, y'all need to charge all night, that's the new rule.."
Oh. Right.. After some incident, the staff changed some rules, Moon wouldn't patrol on Friday, in order to keep the battery fully charged for the weekend.. They forgot but in their defense, it was a brand new rule and after so long of doing the same routine it was hard to break it
Sun walked to the small table, not wanting to face Monty.. So ashamed to even talk.. The Rockstar noticed this and sat on a box lying nearby
"hey it's ok .. We all have bad days and.. It's ok to just want to let stuff out..I totally get if ya don't trust me that much.. But.. I'm here for ya.." the Gator smiled at them even if they didn't turned to see them, he noticed the arm movement, Sun was fidgeting with his hands, thinking about it,if it was an good idea to let it out, to vent to their friend.. then they finally turned to sit on the table, looking down at the dirty floor
".. It 's truly silly.. Im.. I'm just being dramatic.." they took another moment,before choosing to open up "but.. I.. I was just thinking about.. The past.. How.. Things used to be.. I..I truly miss those days, when life was simple.. When.. We were allowed out.. And we were two.."
Sun holded his hands together, representing them holding on Moons hand
"We used to be free,able to walk out and just have fun.. I.. I don't know why things changed like this" their voice glitches softly, they could feel that hollowness on their chest again so they just stopped, they didn't want to be seen like this..
Monty walked to them, sitting on the table, wanting to just hold them tightly but knowing that may just scare them.. So he just spoke
"I remember too.. Life sure was easy.. There was no pressure to be perfect, and everything just felt right.. But.. Things can't stay still forever. I know I want to be back there too but.. Changes aren't that bad.. I remember y'all didn't get plushies! Now you do.. Gosh, y'all even got special candy, and kids just can't wait to come back just to see you! "
Monty looked at them, hoping that maybe that would make them feel better, and it kinda did, Sun remembered the day they saw the new daycare, and how many kids they were allowed to be with! , all those new adventures and experiences.. But.. The pain was still there..
"ah.. Yea.. I'm.. I'm thankful for those things.. I am.."
Monty sighed softly " but I guess the idea of getting locked here ain't that fun" The sunny bot nodded, hugging himself, it felt so wrong to feel like that, but geez! They truly miss freedom!
"I.. I really want to be out there.. I..I worked so hard I been so good so far!" they sobbed again, and hid their face on their hands
Monty finally dared to touch them, first rubbing their back, and moving their tail close to them.. He thought of what to say, in all honesty, it was unfair what happened to them, they didn't deserve all this.. They worked harder yet got less respect!.. But he would definitely do everything to change that!
"yea. I. I know, you are doing amazing.. You are truly great, but.. Some humans just expect us to work and never complain they think we won't care.. But.. Other. Others do care for us.. Like.. Just remember, when was the last time you guys had a full night to charge? Or just relax?.. It's slow, but more humans are caring.. And maybe soon, you guys may be able to be free again! "
Sun cried for a while before looking up, eyes glowing softly in the dark room, those beautiful blue and orange eyes, filled with hope again
" . Do you think so? "
Monty took a moment before replying, he got lost on those eyes!
" yea, I believe it, maybe not soon, but someday, y'all will look back at this day and be able to laugh it off.." Sun smiled at the idea.. Yeah maybe, maybe not everything would be bad forever..After all, they weren't alone anymore..
" yea.. Maybe.. Heh.. Thank you.. I.. I needed that "..
" no problem.. It's not stupid to wish for things..you deserve good stuffs"
Without realizing it, Monty was holding Sun closer with his tail, yet Sunny didn't seem to care, as they relaxed their body and looked out to the daycare
"I'm thankful to still be here after everything that happened.. I.. I wish they would appreciate us more but.. I guess we just need to be patient..and maybe even.."
They stood silent for a bit, lost on thought, eventually they looked at the Gator now a real smile on them, eyes shining with new found hope, there was still some sadness but now they showed to be better than before
" thanks you Monty.. You are too nice to us heheh"
The Gator felt a pinch on his chest, that soft laugh, was so adorable and those eyes, they were so beautiful, he would never get bored to look into them, how expressive they could be at times then he just rubbed his neck, not wanting to act like a dork in front of them
"ah haha! Naaahh, I'm just being myself!"
He waved one hand before just sitting there in silence with the Sunny jester, who just laughed softly, enjoying their little moment, it truly felt good to let out emotions..
They stood there in silence, Sun didn't wanted to say anything else, the moment felt peaceful, even inside the old dirty room, they felt fine, on the other side Monty was looking for more things to say, he actually wanted to spend the night with them maybe just playing dumb kids games or painting, any excuse was good just to be with them both..
There was something special on how they acted, how they laughed and even how they would scolded him that was unique, Monty was made to be appealing to the most old kids on the plex, for the teens to be entertained and do something else than complain about everything
Yet at times it could be tiring to keep a mean look, deal with all kinds of questions and even attempt to make him snap, teens could be jerks, just like some adults who would demand things they never offer
But with them, there was no risks, and no need to keep an act, he could be that old nice Gator that teaches golf to young kiddos
With Sun, he could sing his old tunes,be as gentle as he once was
With Moon, he could speak his mind,no need to censor himself,
They would mess with the staff, give them what they deserve and just relax for a while, not caring for anything else
They had an special aura that just allowed him to let go of the mask he put on, and just be himself, and as more he spend time with them, the more he realized how much he needs them, the lovely words of comfort of Sun, the caring actions of Moon, the attention they would give couldn't be compared
At first he thought it was just part of their coding, but it wasn't, they could see how Sun would fidget with his hands at times, looking for the right thing to say, or how Moon would look away from him after their nap time, they were made to care, yet not get attached to any kid,but the Gator was not a child so the rule wouldn't apply..
Monty knew this thanks to Chica, she has an excellent ability to get any info she wanted to, so one night as they chatted she let him know that They where mean to be caring, but with some limits, and some if the stuffs Sunny did totally broke those limits, such as giving gifts, or creating special songs, or even going outside the daycare's area, they broke those rules to be closer to him,just to spend more time with him, he didn't do that to anyone, not even to Freddy, Sunny clearly adored the bear but never broke the rules to see him .
So Monty did the same, he would run away from practice hours or even charging time to spend time with the two jesters.. And from there.. Something flourished
And tonight was one of those nights, where he would skip his own charging time to spend the night with Moon yet he didn't expect to be sentimental like this.. Now they wonder.. What else did they hide from everyone?..
