Work Text:
Arashi was too nice, Hiyori thought. She was too lenient with her. Arashi let her cling to her and sob into her chest while mumbling incoherently about her problems. And what did Arashi ask for in return? The chance to give Hiyori the comfort and love she so desperately needed.
...but is that what she really deserves?
No, Hiyori decided. She didn't deserve this; the blankets, the affection, none of it. She hadn't done a thing to warrant any such care. She'd been nothing but a priss, a stuck up rich kid who threw a fit when she didn't get her way. Arashi deserved so much better.
Hiyori wanted her to have much better things, much better friends, partners- a much better life. One without her in it.
It didn't matter what Arashi said, she knew. Hiyori knew her girlfriend wanted her dead, out of her and everyone else's lives. It was clear. Who would want her around?
So she sunk. She sunk her head beneath the drawn water burning her skin. Arashi surely would reprimand her for the scalding temperature. Hiyori herself would, too, if this were any other day. Tonight, though, nothing mattered anymore. It was just Tomoe Hiyori, an overflowing bathtub, a razor, and her thoughts.
As she dragged the blade against her wrist over and over, Hiyori thought that maybe, just maybe, she was being rash. Selfish, even, leaving such a mess behind for her beloved to clean up. She should have found a ledge to jump from or an alley to get raped and beaten in and left to suffer and bleed out on her own. Then Arashi wouldn't have to lift a finger or do any work to forget her. You retard, she hazily thought as she ran a finger over the gashes. No will, no note, nothing. You really couldnt have fucked this up more if you tried.
Something buzzed on the toilet seat beside the tub. It lit up as a cheery tone played.
Incoming call: Ara-chan ♡
Hiyori let it ring. Nothing could help her now, not even her Naruko. With the remaining strength she could muster, she dropped the blade and opened the messenger app.

It was riddled with spelling mistakes, but who cared? Not like it was uncharacteristic of her. With the heat rising and steam fogging her vision, along with the blood loss finally becoming far too much for her to keep conscious, she was satisfied with her final message and let herself succumb to the fatigue. She could already see the joy on her face at the sight of her bloodsoaked body floating in the bath, and it brought a smile to her own face.
