James Wilson sat on the comfortable couch, watching as House’s fingers danced along the piano keys in front of him, playing Christmas carols in front of the window that Wilson could see was holding back the chill from the snow falling outside. the songs were lulling Wilson to sleep with the graceful way they sounded. He didn’t expect anything different, House played the piano as if nothing else in the world mattered to him and listening to it gave Wilson the feeling of being wrapped up in a blanket.
”What’s the point of me playing the piano if you’re just going to fall asleep?” House asked.
”Sorry,” he replied, opening one eye and looking at the other man, “it’s Christmas Day, I’ve had too much egg nog, it happens” he shrugged. House finished the song he was playing before joining Wilson on the couch. He put an arm around the sleepy mans shoulders, pulling him closer until his head rested on House’s chest.
”Did you know you look cute when you’re tired?” House told him.
”Shut up,” Wilson mumbled back.
”I’m serious,” House said, “you look adorable,” Wilson scowled at his before smiling.
“I love you, House,” he told him.
”I love you too.”
