Violent bickering echoed throughout Chaldea’s inner walls.
The servants who were mindlessly doing their own thing, mostly ignored it. As this was a common occurrence within the building.
There were many reasons why every now and then the buildings atmosphere would become lively with shouts, screams and even verbal abuse echoing throughout. There Masters fighting each other, two or more servants didn’t get along and deciding to express it with words or, though very rare, it was a master and servant bickering with each other.
If you where to find the source of the current bickering though, you would have found a mix of the latter and last type. As set of brunette twins screamed at each other from afar, while their preferred servants held them back as to not cause any physical violence from the two living humans that may occur.
“Master Mason, please calm down” Saber, Arthur Pendragon pleaded, gripping the young master by one hand around his metal plated chest.
Mason shook his head violently as he tried to wiggle out of the kings arm, but to almost no avail, especially with Arthur possessing an A-tier strength and all.
“Proto Saber has a point Kid, calm the fuck down” Spoke Archer Emiya Alter as both he and Avenger William Cipher struggled to keep the small female woman still.
However, the pleads from both servants only made the two give each other deadlier stares.
The constant fighting came to a halt suddenly, as Rider Pacifica Northwest and Shielder demi-servant Mash Kyrielight stomped inside, a rather nasty glare fixed on Pacifica for which successfully caused her masters to stop.
“WHAT are you guys doing?” The Rider snarled, hands crossed on her White and purple conical dress.
“Th-they were fighting and-“
“I didn’t ask you. Avenger” Pacifica snapped, causing the blue hair avenger to squeak. “Well?” she directed at the twins.
The pair remained silent, until “Dipper started it, he said I would be a horrible servant, and then I said-“
“I was only stating facts”
“You weren’t, I would be an amazing servant! I’d probably be the strongest caster-“
“As if you were to be a caster”
“And you will? I’m not gonna lie Dipper, but you are just as bad at mage craft, and you can hardly hold anything over 3 kilos, there won’t be any classes fit for you”
“There are more than the initial servants, what about the extra-“
“Those don’t count”
The bickering resumed and continued; and it didn’t take long before the two young adults was each other’s throats again.
Growling loudly, Pacifica’s noble phantasm appeared, a large sand-yellow Llama, for which stomped in front of them, causing the twins to freeze.
“Shut up, this is so stupid, anyway you guys are needed, they are trying to summon another servant”
Entering the chamber silently. The twins were bombarded by the Chaldean staff, as they prepared for another summoning ritual.
Two summoning circles stood either side of each other, made via a mix of homunculi blood, their own blood and mage craft.
Placing their hand in front, they recounted the usual summoning verse, both greatly overdone with the same words they spoke. Just like how they were overdone with the typical blinding light that flashed across the room.
Soon, though a bit too long if you were Mabel, the light subsided and standing where the summoning circles was, was…. them.
A man and a women stood opposite of them, the two individuals looking rather, identical. To both themselves and the pines twins.
The women had long brown hair, similar to that of Mabel’s, but she had streaks and highlights of bright pastel colours, and the ends faded to a general more reddish brown. Her eyes where an unnatural blue, a background of hot pink at the backs. She wore a long white turtleneck shirt, a black sleeveless valet vest. A bright, hot red pink was the colour for her skirt, the skirt opened in the middle, while the backends tailed down, showing off notably a LOT of skin. And finally, the women wore a pure black fedora, a cartoonish yellow and a rainbow-coloured brooch pinned to the side.
The man however, had short brown hair which possessed a sort of scraggily look, and eye colours the inverse of the women. His style was somewhat similar to that of a pilot or just a war captain, A bright blue coloured blazer with shoulder pads and tassels and the like, a tailcoat flowed limply behind him. dark, marooned brown pants were tucked in tall, heled boots and finally a pilot’s hat with a silver jewelled pine tree was pinned to the middle.
The pines twins remained silent, mouth agape slightly as they awaited for the typical question all servants asks when they are initially summoned.
The servants looked skeptically at their masters, before each other, before finally looking back at them.
“I ask of you…
Are you guys our masters”
The two servants asked, creepily in sync, right down to the subtle actions of body movement.
Mabel and Dipper, didn’t react, remaining motionless until the servants got sick of it, including Pacifica, who strolled past them, ending up in front of either pair.
“Yes they are-“
“Pacifica?!?!” the servants yelled.
Pacifica froze, mid-sentence, confusion evident on her face as the brunettes that weren’t her masters stared at her in a mass of wonder and confusion.
“That is my name…yes? Am I supposed to know you” The rider servant from the 1700s-1800s questioned.
There awe face melted, the servants looking at each other quite confused, before resuming to their normal pose, both body and facial wise.
“I apologise, you must-“
“No….that’s not right, fair warning, believe me I am still getting used to it, alternate universes exists. Point. Blank. Simple.
And I must have existed in your universe, but whatever they may act like, I am not them. Alright?” Pacifica explained, already tired from the day: from her masters yapping away like dogs, work and also having to explain something that she GREATLY despised, it was tiering.
The servants didn’t respond, each of their lips remained a still line, though like before, they looked at each other, and by some magical connection, maybe similar to that of a magus bond between servant and master, they exchanged an invisible and deafening conversation.
“So, if alternate Universes exist…Then” The male servant peered through the rider, who herself turned her head back at her own masters. Eyes widening in realization as…
“No. No. No” She panicked, purely exasperated. “I refuse. I refuse! I already have to deal with THEM. No, you don’t exist. I- “Fuming, the blonde cut herself off, dredging away from the lab, while constantly reusing the same words of denial over, and over again.
“That was weird, what did you talk about” Dipper asked.
“How we might be the same person” The brunette female servant stated, simply, Mabel and Dipper came back into being stunned. “Anyway- “
“Woah. Woah. Wait, she thinks you guys are like us?” Dipper interceded.
A nod from the servants and Dipper gasped quietly to himself, followed by sister who did the same thing.
The servants stared at their similar masters, before each other, shrugging their shoulders and returning back to them.
“Honestly, we don’t know, I guess we better actually introduce ourselves then, Right masters?” The female servant joked.
“Uhhh, I g-Guess, my name is…. uhhh…Dipper”
The red eyed servants’ eyes widened.
“And IM Mabel, Dippers ALPHA twin sister”
The blue-eyed servant suppressed a giggle.
“And as you are our servants, you are required to tell us your names” Dipper pointed.
“Well, I guess she WAS right after all, nice to meet ya, my name is ALSO Mabel”
“And my Nickname is also Dipper, I am of the ruler class, while my sister is a- “
“Mooncancer!” Servant Mabel stated.
The human twins remained shocked, not only at the prospect of these people BEING them from an alternate universe, but over the classes that they possessed.
“YOU’RE A MOONCANCER/RULER” The twins shouted, eyes twinkling.
Almost immediately, the human twins forced their servant counterparts to train by battling a few of the other servants. Just to see their skills in action.
Mooncancer was currently fighting Wendy, a Saber cladded in green, while the rest stood back to watch.
“Mooncancers are quite rare, and are usually quite powerful, is this Mabel powerful, Ruler?” Asked dipper.
Rulers’ eyes went from his own sister to Dipper, a thought still present in his mind.
“I mean…yeah? I guess”
“To be a Mooncancer, you must have been considered a threat to the moon, right? And to be a Ruler, you must not possess a wish. If your us, then how did you guys end up the way you are?” Mabel asked out of the blue. Causing both Dipper’s to look at her skeptically.
“Mabel” Dipper hissed, turning his back to Ruler, “they JUST got summoned, yes they are US, to an extent, but can’t you see that there a little older, there’s a chance that they went through something that we haven’t, which might be a little…traumatic, its best to not ask them yet” Dipper whispered.
Mabel pouted, humphing away from the two, before turning her head to her own magical counterpart.
Mooncancer and Saber had just begun their fight, Wendy savagely slashed at her, while Mooncancer availed her attacks. The constant evading and slashing ceased when Wendy punted Mooncancer across with the non-blade side of her sword, causing Mabel to be pushed forward to the side.
She let out a huff, before outstretching her hand, quickly a small, yellow star shaped yo-yo appeared, a colourful array of string attached to it as she availed another sword attack.
Mooncancer swung her weapon, around and around, before swiping at Wendy, and swiped and swiped.
Unlike Mabel who somehow was able to dodge each of the Saber’s attacks, Wendy found it difficult to avoid the Mooncancers weapon, being a strange non-sensical weapon, Wendy found that she was more battling with the idea of kinetic energy, and not the women itself. But it was also because Mabel was extremely fast, every swiped or slash will just entail another swipe BEFORE Wendy could even react to the first attack.
Wendy panted; cuts appeared feverishly on her skin as the points on the stars where surprisingly sharp. She mentally groaned, annoyed, angry and vexed, but the other side of her, gleefully smiled as she failed to dodge another attack. Wendy was a very powerful servant herself, defeating everyone during trainings and her enemies in actual battles, so to see someone new (who reminded her of another someone she knows) and defeating her so easily, gave her a challenge, a challenge that she couldn’t wait to beat.
Finally, Wendy successfully avoided a swing attack, bending low, before running into an attack, eyes gleefully watching the magic users’ ankles, but just before her sword could collide with limbs, Mooncancers yo-yo disappeared in a puff of glittery smoke, and in her hands was a hammer that replaced it.
Mooncancers tip of her foot, collided with Sabers head, causing her to fall to the ground, which was earned with Mabel’s hammer swinging at her, making Wendy slide sideways, away from Mabel.
Mooncancer jumped gleefully, before sending her hammer away in the same puff of smoke. “Victory is mine, hahaha!”
Wendy jumped up, now slightly healed from the magic via her masters, eyes sparkling.
“Was that your noble phantasm!?” Wendy, Mabel, and Dipper asked.
“Hmmm? Oh no, no mines…. not physical noble phantasm” Mooncancer stated somewhat suspiciously.
“Hmmm…Okay” Wendy stated, walking past the fellow female servant and towards the other three Chaldea members on the side. “You. Ruler” Wendy stated, pointing a finger towards him, for which his cheeks noticeably got redder as she did. “I wanna see how you will do in battle- “
“I’m afraid you can’t” Dipper butted in, earning a side glare from Wendy, ever-so offended. “You were needed for something with Mash, which is why I asked you to join us, but then I thought, ‘I would like to see Wendy fight one of the new servants’ which is how we ended up here, anyway you need to go to the lab, I have already found a substitute” Dipper explained
Wendy’s glare only hardened, pouting as she left the training vicinity with a humph.
“Who is going to be my sparring partner?” Ruler asked, somewhat disappointedly.
As if on cue, the door opened again, and walking in was another woman, this time noticeably older than the teenaged red head.
She possessed a curvy body, which was barely covered up with a pink leotard and a hot pink cape for which swayed side to side, despite no natural wind in the building to do so. Pure white was the colour for her gloves and stiletto pumps, which bewitched a magical and ethereal blue flame coming out of the ends for each garment. She had short hot pink hair (same shade as her cape) which partially covered one of her pure red eyes. Finally, her head had multiple small pink horns, small ones cascading all the way from her forward to her top half of her neck and two curvy horns on either side of her head, though one was slightly chipped.
Her full, dark pink lips, stretched in a smile, showing off her sharpened teeth as she arrived near her masters.
“Ah, Lancer, ‘bout time you got here” Dipper greeted, standing up from the benches. “Ruler, this is Lancer, she’ll be you sparring partner”
…
Lancer’s weapon was a tall, pink spear, with a flaming blue orb floating around the top point. While Dippers weapon was a long sword blue katana, a small silver pine tree jewel also dazzled the weapon.
Almost immediately, Lancer initiated the battle. Unsurprisingly, the lancer was swift, and in one second she was equal distance between Ruler and the wall, and the next she appeared right Infront of him, ready to fight.
Quickly reacting just as fast, he dashed to the side, Lancer’s spear poking nothing but air upon doing so.
Turning around, he raced forward in the Lancers direction, his blade ready to strike.
Breathing through her nose with irritance, the lancer grabbed her spear with two hands, placing in a horizontal position in front of her, making the blade collide with the weapon rather than her.
Grunting slightly, she quickly moved to the side, using the similar movement of her feet to her hands as she moved the spear. Causing Ruler to lose balance in front and skid slightly. The end of her spear collided with Rulers back, making all the air in his body to disperse externally.
Quickly he moved back and out of the way of the spear women, slightly panting upon doing so. The lancer laughed chaotically, before leaping upwards and throwing her spear with so much force a trail of fire followed the spear.
Dipper’s glare hardened, taking back his hand and his sword, before swiping the air and eventually the spear when it had arrived right in front of his vision, the weapons collided and another massive explosion reacted, the white light soon faded from the initial explosion. The floor was flooded with fires, both blue, white and pink in colour.
Swiftly, he moved, passing the fiery flames, and towards the confused and currently grounded lancer, his sword swiped at her.
Eventually Stopping, he turned his head backwards, noticing Lancer who laid on the ground, a disgruntled and stretched smile appeared on her thick lips.
He walked over towards her, noticing a large gash on her skin tight fabric, all of the wounds that must have appeared on her body disappeared completely.
Though, as he began to squat to her, Lancer jumped up, a burst of blue flames dispersed from her, burning Rulers skin deeply.
She spun around, kicking his chest with the sole of her foot, throwing him forward and landing on his butt.
The lancer, now rather pinked face, lept away from him a final time, walking towards Master Mabel, a placid pout appearing on her lips upon doing so.
“Hey, Pyronica, you did fine” Mabel said sympathetically.
Pyronica however, only pouted further, placing her chin on the brunette’s head, hysterically crying to the younger girl.
…
“So I guess...Ruler is weaker than you?” Dipper asked towards Mooncancer, who shrugged in response.
“are you the stronger twin in this universe?” Mooncancer asked.
Dipper turned his head towards his Mabel, who was still consoling a crying Pyronica. “Well, Stronger than me physically…but…”
“You don’t know? Huh, kinda the same for us, being a ruler and everything, his situation and skills are VERY different from my own” Mabel paused, “I guess you could say…I’m stronger than him?” Mooncancer was very much unsure.
Dipper nodded, as both Ruler and human Mabel walked towards them.
“Well, what do you guys want to do know with the newbies.” Mabel Asked.
“Come with me, that’s what you guys should do” a slightly tired rider Da Vinci said, appearing out of nowhere in front of them.
Now both alone, sitting on a large bed together, Dipper wrote out something on some off-white-coloured parchment paper, a few sudoku puzzles situated next to him, all While Mabel continued on with one of her knitting projects.
In her hands was a blue, red and silver scarf for Sétanta, or ‘Cu lily’ as Mabel called him. The reasoning behind her rushed movements of the yarn and knitting needles was to, quote, ‘finish the scarf for Saber so she can rush to make two for their servant counterparts’
Speaking of there counterparts.
A sly smirk appeared on lips, pausing her knitting, she leaned backwards, to her brother’s shoulder as she caught his attention.
“I can’t do magic well, huh? Well, what’s the Mooncancer version of me has to say about that?”
Dipper took in a sharp inhale through his nose, glaring at his sister for bringing up last morning’s argument. Taking another deep breath, Dipper prepared for the fight.
And in only a couple of minutes, the sounds of fighting echoed throughout Chaldea’s internal walls and halls.
