Chapter Text

The silver moon shines down upon a path of pointy, black rocks in the dirty yellow dirt. A young woman with tan skin, long braided golden hair with a pink bird clip, green eyes, freckles, wearing a purple short-sleeve shirt, a black tank top with dark red lining, a dark red belt with a silver buckle, a magenta skirt that parted out to reveal a dark purple skirt underneath, Rapunzel looks down on it. A young man with brown hair and eyes, a goatee, tan skin wearing a white shirt, a dark blue shirt with golden buckles over that, brown shoulder pads, a brown belt, black gloves, brown pants and boots, Eugene, comes up behind her and puts his hand on her back. A young woman with short, black, curly hair, pale skin, gray eyes, red lips wearing a gray shirt and black pants and boots, Cassandra stands on the other side of her. “Thanks for healing our ribs!” Cassandra tells her. 

“No problem… I just wish people would be kinder.” She replies. 

Rapunzel walked into a big, blue room with a white bed. A man with brown hair, tan skin, blue eyes, wearing a suit with red and blue columns, Frederic, her father, was sitting on a white bed. She walked over to him. “It's going to be okay, Dad.” She told him.

“This is all my fault, the rocks, Quirin” He began. 

“What is he talking about?” She wondered. 

“As you know, Gothel attacked your mother, giving her preeclampsia. We cared for her for six weeks, but, despite our best efforts, it developed into eclampsia, and your lives became endangered. She lingered between life and death for two weeks. So your older sister and I sought out the miracle of the Sundrop. But, what I never told anyone besides Cassandra, there was more to the story. You see, earlier that night, I was warned, warned that if I removed the Sundrop I would release an ancient curse, by Quirin. But, we had no choice. But, here's the weirdest part: his eyes were glowing blue. So, I don't think he meant harm to your mother”. 

Rapunzel feels a shiver down her spine. "Blondie, you okay?" Eugene questions. She snaps into focus. 

"Yeah, Eugene." She replies as she clings to a strand of her hair. Frederic walks over to them. 

"So this is goodbye…". 

"Cheer up, sweetie. We'll see each other again here in a year or so." He replies, smiling. Rapunzel smiles. 

Meanwhile, A young brunette woman with hair in an updo, tan skin, green eyes, pink lipstick wearing a white pearl necklace with three pink jewels in the middle, a purple and white renaissance dress with slanted columns and purple slippers, and a purple belt with a pink outlined-heart buckle, Arianna and boy with tan skin, freckles, black hair with a blue streak in it, wearing brown goggles in it, blue eyes, and an aquamarine shirt, brown shoulder pads, brown, baggy pants, and a brown buckle, Varian jump at each other. They tackle each other and land with a bang. Rapunzel, Eugene, Frederic, and a young woman with short, black, curly hair, pale skin, gray eyes, red lips wearing a gray shirt and black pants and boots, Cassandra turn around. 

"Yeah, they are going with you." Frederic speaks.

Arianna and Varian sit with their arms crossed on a blue bench with a purple cushion in a blue room, glaring at each other. Suddenly, a purple flash goes down Varian. 

"YOU DRANK THE MOOD REVERSAL POTION!?" She questions, her voice raised.  

What's going on? Varian wonders. 

"Apparently," He responds. 

"Why?". 

"... I thought it was grape juice.". How can kids be so smart and yet be so dumb at the same time? Arianna wonders. 

"What if that was poisoned?". 

"Then I'd be dead?". Ugg. She sighs. 

"Varian, you can't just drink anything you find in the stream. I know that you were alone, and I'm sorry. It's just... everything was so busy after the storm. Wait... everything was so busy?" She starts. That makes no sense. She silently criticizes herself. "Never mind. It's just I'm sorry I forgot about you.". She presses her hand against the bench and looks away from him. 

"Hey," Varian starts as he touches her hand. Arianna looks at him. "I'm sorry that I hurt you.". They hug. 

Suddenly, they feel the caravan stop. "Stretch break!" Rapunzel announces. Rapunzel, Eugene, Cassandra, Arianna, Varian, a man with brown eyes, black skin wearing a red shirt, gold hoop earrings, black pants, and boots, Lance, a heavyweight man with dark tan skin and black hair wearing a brown tee-shirt, a black belt with a silver skull in the middle, a black boot on his left foot and a sliver Hook Foot, girl with tan skin, brown curly hair, green eyes, pink lips, wearing an aquamarine dress in a brown, wooden wheelchair, Natalia, a girl with tan skin, blue eyes, and black hair wearing a yellow dress, Sara, a girl with tan skin, freckles, red hair in long ponytails, green eyes, wearing a pink dress, Catalina, and her sister, Kiera, who had tan skin, freckles, red streaks running down her face, short black hair, green eyes, and a black shirt and yellow pants get out. 

“I wanna break every rule and throw myself on every line”

Arianna sings as she runs ahead. 

“I wanna show all the stars how stars oughta shine”

Rapunzel sings as she looks up at the white stars in a dark blue sky through a golden telescope. A shooting star flies across the sky. 

“I wanna do as I please and knock the world to its knees

And go wherever the breeze is going”

She rolls down the hill in the day. 

“Next stop: anywhere

Got a whole wide world to see, nothing's stopping me”

She spins. 

“Next stop: anywhere”

She runs ahead. 

“'Cause there's so much waiting, I know it's waiting

I feel it waiting out there

Everywhere”

She climbs on top of the yellow caravan with a purple top and frame and stands. 

Eugene climbs on top of the caravan with a dirty yellow map with black squiggly lines. He goes over to Rapunzel. That was exhausting. He thinks. “Blondie, wait up! Do you know how hard it is to keep up with you out here?” He asks her. 

“Com'on Eugene, this is my first trip outside Corona! Aren't you excited to follow the rocks?!” She asks him. Uhh, not really! He thinks. 

“Excited? To follow a bunch of creepy rocks?” He replies. Seriously?! She thinks. 

She looks at him. “Of course, I'm excited! I'm with you!”. They climb down. 

“We're gonna toss out the maps and follow the sun”

He sings as he tosses the map. 

“We're gonna place our own path and go on the run”

She sings as she runs forward. He follows her. 

“We're gonna get out and do what nobody's done”

He sings as he puts his hand on her shoulders. 

“There's so much out there to do, we've barely begun”

She sings as she spins. 

“We're gonna take every dare”

They sing as they lean into each other, shimming. 

“And feel the wind in our hair

With no one telling us where we're going”

They sing as they look up. 

“Next stop: anywhere

If you're there I'm gonna be where I wanna be

Next stop: anywhere”

They sing as they put one arm around each other and spread the other out. 

“And the world is calling, it keeps on calling

Just think of all that we'll share

Everywhere”

They sing as they lean into each other, shimming.  

“Hey, Rapunzel, where’s your mom?” Eugene asks his girlfriend. I don't see her. He thinks as he looks around. Oh no, we lost her. Rapunzel panics. Arianna runs up behind them. Her lungs burn and she coughs. She leans down and puts her fist up to her mouth. 

“Mom, are you okay?” Rapunzel askes, worried. Is she sick already? She worries. 

“Yeah, I inherited a genetic autoimmune disorder from my dad when I was born. So, I basically have been sick all my life.” Arianna explains, putting her hands on her knees. She is faster on a horse. He thinks. 

“Anna, you should get on Fidella.” He suggests. That's a great idea! Arianna thinks. 

“Yeah!” She agrees. She mounts a brown cydlestail with a black, braided mane wearing a brown, leather saddle. 

“Next stop: anywhere

Got a feeling things'll be happening suddenly”

Arianna sings as she whips Fidella’s reins. Her horse ran into a stampede of tan, yellow, and brown horses in a desert. 

“Next stop: anywhere

Gonna chase my destiny, find the best in me”

Rapunzel sings as she runs ahead. She walks over to Eugene, who kneels down next to a dirt hole in the grass. She kneels down across from him. 

“Next stop: anywhere

'Cause it's time we went to be where we're meant to be”

Eugene sings as he drops a dirty yellow pebble in the hole. Red, blue, and green butterflies fly out. 

Rapunzel and he go over to Arianna who is riding Fidella in front of the caravan. 

“Next stop: anywhere”

Rapunzel sings.  

“And the world is waiting”

Arianna sings. 

“I feel it waiting” 

He sings. 

“It's all just waiting out there”

Rapunzel sings.  

“Everywhere”

They sing. 

“Everywhere”

He sings.  

“Everywhere”

Rapunzel sings.  

Rapunzel and Cassandra walk up a grassy hill. An Asian woman with white braided hair tied with golden ribbons, a little black triangle earring in her right ear, and a golden hop in her left. The left side of her face is covered in red war paint. She is wearing a black kimono with a golden lining. Over that, she is wearing red shoulder pads with a golden lining. Over that, she is wearing a gray, sleeveless dress with a fur collar and golden lining. She is wearing a black belt with a golden bear paw symbol on it surrounded by columns of silver buttons. A red scarf is thrown around her waist. She is wearing white arm guards with three gray buttons. She is wearing black pants. She is wearing black boots with fur lining and a black line running down and three lines running across. "Who are you?" Cassandra aggressively questions as she puts her hand on her breast. Okay, this is awkward. The woman, Adira thinks. 

"Okay, first thing: I don't like people touching me." Adira tells Cassandra. She grabs her wrist and spins. Cassandra flies back. Did she seriously just throw Cass? Rapunzel thinks.

"I don't know who you are but you don't get to do that to my older sister!" She announces. She runs at Adira with a black cast-iron frying pan. Adira dodges Rapunzel. Rapunzel spins and falls on her tushie.

Meanwhile, Arianna is standing on a nearby grassy hill with a book with a red cover. She sees the scene below. An old woman with curly, black hair, bluish-gray eyes, pale skin, wearing a red renaissance dress with yellow stitching and a black cloak, Gothel pops into her head. She shutters. She runs to the fight. She smacks Adira with her book on the back of Adira's head. Adira falls forward. She rolls over. Uh oh, that's probably Mom she thinks as she sees Arianna. “Lemme guess, you’re Mom.” She asks her. "Yes," Arianna replies. "and you should know the last woman who threatened my daughters got thrown out the window.". 

Oh no… Adira thinks. Mom is awesome! Rapunzel thinks. Mom is awesome! Cassandra thinks. 

"Ma'am, I didn't mean to harm your daughters," Adira explains, holding her hands up in front of her. She notices Arianna and Rapunzel. Those are the Sundrop girls. Adira remembers. "You're the Sundrop! You should've led with that! I would've not attacked you if you were more powerful!" She exclaims. 

"Yeah," Rapunzel replies, clinging to a piece of her hair. 

"Queen Arianna, Princesses Rapunzel, and Cassandra, I am Lady Adira of the Dark Kingdom." Adira introduces herself.

"The Dark Kingdom?" Arianna questions. Arianna wonders. 

"Where the rocks are from." Adira explains. 

  Quirin lied! Arianna thinks. Her eyebrows furrow. Rapunzel looks at her. Is she okay? She worries. 

"Mom, are you okay?" Rapunzel questions. 

Arianna snaps into focus. 

"I'm fine. Just thinking." Arianna tells her.

"Okay."

Meanwhile, Eugene leans down and opens up a purple, wooden compartment at the bottom of the caravan. It is empty. Oh, com'on! He thinks. He stands. "Guy we're out of supplies and need to go into town."  He announces to Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera. Everyone gets in. Eugene looks around. Where are Rapunzel, Arianna, and Cassandra? He wonders. "Hook Foot, go get Rapunzel, Arianna, and Cassandra.". Hook Foot gets out. 

Hook Foot runs up to Rapunzel, Arianna, Cassandra, and Adira."Time to go!" He announces. They get in the caravan.

Eugene opens a tiny red ring box and kneels down on the floor. "Okay, Eugene you just got to say…" He starts. "Marry me".  Just then, Rapunzel opens the door. Uhh… She thinks. They just stare at each other. He sweats nervously. 

"Eugene, did you just ask me to marry you?" She asks him. Say you were talking to your deceased dog. He thinks. 

"Noo… I was talking to my old dog, Laramie.  Laramie! Here boy!" He calls as he pats his hip. Okay… He's being weird. She thinks

"I'll be in front." He says. He goes out and sits on the front bench and drives. 

After a few minutes of traveling, a man with long, orange hair, wearing a black witch's hat with a gray rim, a brown shirt, a black vest, a brown belt with a square golden buckle, black pants, Anthony the Weasel, and boots Eugene off. That's not good. He thinks. He goes over to the caravan and opens the door. Cassandra sees him as he steps in. Isn't he supposed to be driving? She wonders. "Hey, pretty boy, aren't you supposed to be driving?" She asks him, placing her hands on her hips. 

"I got booted off." He replies. Huh? She thinks. She goes over to the window and looks out. She sees Anthony and screams. Is something wrong? Rapunzel worries. She goes over to the window and looks out. She sees Anthony and screams. "Anthony hijacked us." She breathlessly announces. I should've locked him up. She silently criticizes herself. Everyone slams against the side of the caravan. That happens several times before it finally stops.

They are thrown in front of a bulky European man with blonde hair and facial hair, a ruby locket with a gold chain and frame, a blueish-gray puffy handkerchief, wearing a blue ruffle shirt with three golden buttons, on top of a dark blue vest with black lining, an open dark blue coat with three golden buttons with a black inside, blueish-gray pants and black boots, Baron in front of a cream-colored palace. A girl with dark red hair in an updo, tan skin, blue eyes, tiny golden horseshoe earrings, a black coat with golden lining, a magenta bocce, a black belt with a golden horseshoe buckle, a black skirt over a dark magenta skirt and black boots, Stalyan is standing next to him. Oh no Eugene thinks. She sees him and Lance. “Hi Flynn and Lance!” She pipes up as she waves. Baron clears his throat. “Rider, you walked out on my precious Stalyan years ago.” He starts. Seriously? This again? She thinks. “... So I will make you follow through with your promise.”. 

Baron opens his ring. A black spider with red on top crawls out. Lance starts sweating and shaking. "What's that?!" Lance questions.

"A venomous Kai spider. It causes fever and hallucinations. Only when she has a swollen throat, you know time is running out." Baron replies as he lets the spider climb on him. She?  Rapunzel wonders. The spider climbs on Arianna. Aww, little spider. She thinks. It bites her collar. She blacks out. 

"No!" Rapunzel and Stalyan jinx. Rapunzel uses her shoulders to break the ropes. Stalyan uses her dagger to free Rapunzel's friends. Rapunzel picks up Arianna. She's already freezing. She notices. She looks at Eugene. Goodbye. Their eyes water.

Arianna wakes in a pink bed in a pink room. Rapunzel, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera surround her, exchanging worried looks. Her skin is pale, her face sweats, she shivers, she is breathing heavily, and goosebumps cover her. Her bandage. Rapunzel remembers. 

“Cassandra, please sit her up so I can undo her bandage.” She tells Cassandra. Cassandra nodes. Okay. She thinks. She grabs Arianna and sits her up. Confused, Arianna wraps her arms around Cassandra's. Cassandra strokes her hair. Rapunzel unties it. She grabs a bronze bowl of warm water and a pale pink cloth. She dips it in. She wipes the blood off her mother's collar. Cassandra lays her mother back. “Thanks.”.

“No problem.”. They pull the cover up. Cassandra grabs a bronze bowl of ice water and a pale pink cloth. She dips it in. She pats it on her mother's forehead. Arianna shivers. They pull the covers on her. Rapunzel takes her hand in hers. Arianna opens her eyes. She sees Gothel in the corner of her room smiling deviously and tapping her fingers together. She hoarsely screams and tries to sit. Rapunzel takes her in her arms. She strokes her hair. Arianna falls asleep. Rapunzel lays her back. She looks up at the moon. Wish I had that moment back. She wishes. “Raps, the Rapunzel I know wouldn't sit here feeling sorry for herself." Cassandra tells her. They look at each other. “Let's go crash a wedding.” They jinx.

Rapunzel stands outside the caravan in a big, black suit covered in skulls. She is standing with Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera. They are all dressed in black. They run towards the palace. The palace is decorated with black streamers for the wedding. There are circular tables with black tablecloths and with water and Queen of Nights. Stalyan and Eugene stand in front of the palace. Baron stands behind them. 

Stalyan is dressed in a black gown and veil and is holding a bouquet of Queen of Nights. They look at each other. “Okay, Eugene, when my dad says ‘kiss’ I’ll knock him out and get the anti-venom, and then run to Arianna and save her.” She tells him. He nods. “People of Vardos, we join here together today to celebrate the joining of my daughter, Stalyan, and her finacè, Flynn Rider, in marriage.” Baron starts. The group arrives. “Now, if anyone has any objections…”

“I GOT A FEW!” Rapunzel yells as she takes off her disguise. She lassoes her hair on a nearby cream column. She swings and skips on the columns up to the palace. 

Cassandra punches a big Irish man dressed in black. Varian throws down a pink ball. Pink smoke covers the area. Lance grabs a European man with brown hair and eyes dressed in black by the arms, pulls them behind him, and trips him with his foot. Hook Foot trips a heavyweight European man with black hair and blue eyes dressed in black with his hook. A European man with blonde hair and blue eyes dressed in black approaches Sara. She waves the brown wooden paintbrush she is holding in front of her. A puff of rainbow sparkles appears and pushes him back. An Irish man dressed in black grabs Kiera, and she drops to the ground and sweeps her legs under him, planting her hands under her for support. A European man with blonde hair and blue eyes dressed in black grabs Catalina. She punches him.

Rapunzel goes up to Eugene, Stalyan, and Baron. She lassoes her hair around Eugene. Baron grabs the other end of her hair. Eugene feels the hair squeeze him. "He's Stalyan's!" Baron declares. 

"How would you know? You had to poison my mom to get them to marry!" Rapunzel replies. They tug back and forth on her hair a few times. 

A green chameleon named Pascal climbs up Rapunzel's hair. What's a frog going to do? Baron wonders. Pascal sticks his tongue on his nose. Baron screams and drops Rapunzel's hair. Pascal climbs back on Rapunzel's shoulder. The spider bites Baron. "Ha! You just got a taste of your own…" Rapunzel starts. The anti-venom! I have the anti-venom! He remembers. He reaches into the pocket of his vest, pulls out a tiny purple vial, and drinks it.  No! Rapunzel thinks.

"DAD!" Stalyan yells angrily. 

"BARON!" Eugene yells angrily. Rapunzel begins to cry. Eugene hugs her. 

Eugene woke in a tower with walls with paintings of a girl with pale skin and blonde hair in an orange dress. The walls were divided into sections by brown wooden beams. There was a kitchen area under the brown, wooden stairwell. "Eugene!" Rapunzel, who then had short brown hair and wore a purple dress laced up with pink ribbon cried as she hugged him. Eugene remembers. 

"Rapunzel, remember how you healed me with your tears?" Eugene asks her. She nods. He wants me to heal mom with my tears! She thinks. Eugene, Rapunzel, and Stalyan run to the caravan. 

They run to Arianna. She is bundled in blankets and breathing heavily. Natalia's rubbing her chest. Sara goes over and picks up a bronze cup of water from her nightstand and her head. She gives her water. Rapunzel steps out of the room holding a small black cup. Arianna stops breathing. Rapunzel cries. Arianna tries to sit. Cassandra grabs her and holds her. Rapunzel walks in the room. She sets the cup on the nightstand. Cassandra passes her Arianna. Rapunzel picks up the cup and helps her sip. Color returns to Arianna's skin. They hug.

That night Rapunzel and Eugene sit on a purple sofa in a blue room. “Hey, Eugene, I need to talk to you about something.” She starts. 

“Of course, Sunshine, anything.” He replies. 

“The night of the Sundrop expodenicen, Quirin warned my dad not to take the Sundrop…” She starts. They hear Arianna crying. “Just a second. It gets weirder”. It gets weirder than Quirin not caring about people… great. Eugene thinks. Rapunzel picks up Arianna. “It's been a long day. I know, dear.”. She takes Arianna to her room. She sets Arianna on the bed. She walks out. She sits on the sofa. “But, the weirdest part is: his eyes were glowing. So, I don't think he meant it.”. Eugene hugs her.

“Sunshine, if there is a darkness out for you and your mom, believe me, I will fight for you until the end.” He replies.

Chapter Text

Rapunzel, Eugene, Arianna, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera stand in Vardaros stand in the town square talking to Stalyan. Arianna looks at Stalyan’s throne. Anthony was sitting on it. Anthony! She angrily thinks. She gently taps Stalyan’s shoulder. Stalyan turns around. "Hi, sweetie! What do you need?" Stalyan asks Arianna as Stalyan takes Arianna's hand that she tapped Stalyan using. Arianna points to Anthony. Seriously?! Stalyan thinks. "Guys, we have a problem!" She announces. The rest of the group looks at him. Seriously?! They think.

They run towards him. Rapunzel lassoes her hair on a nearby cream column. She swings and skips on the columns up to the palace. Eugene hits him on the head with a black, cast-iron frying pan. Arianna smacks him with her book on the back of his head. Cassandra punches him. Varian throws down a pink ball. Pink smoke covers the area. Lance grabs him by the arms, pulls them behind him, and trips him with his foot. He gets up. Hook Foot trips him with his hook. He gets up and approaches Sara. She waves the brown wooden paintbrush she is holding in front of her. A puff of rainbow sparkles appears and pushes him back. He gets up and grabs Kiera, and she drops to the ground and sweeps her legs under him, planting her hands under her for support. He gets up and grabs Catalina. She punches him. He gets up. Stalyan punches him. He gets up. Natalia kicks him. He falls. “Well, gang, you may have defeated me in the meantime, but beware: I will return.” He threatens. He gets up and runs away. 

What are we going to do? Arianna worries. “What are we going to do?”. Stalyan thinks. Quaid. She remembers. 

“Guys, when I was a little girl there used to be a lot of crime in Vardaros but, this sheriff named Quaid chased all of the criminals out. If we can find him, he can protect us from Anthony!” She announces. That's a great idea! Rapunzel thinks. “That's a great idea! Where does he live?”. 

“Outta town in a treehouse, com’on, I’ll show you.”. Stalyan announces. They follow her.

Rapunzel, Eugene, Arianna, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, Kiera and Staylan arrive at a tree. An old wooden ramp spirals up the tree leads up to a shack. We should not all go up. Rapunzel thinks. “Guys, we should not all go up. Mom and I will go up.” She announces. That's a good idea. The others think. Arianna and Rapunzel go up. 

They arrive at the shack. Rapunzel knocks. An old African man wearing a green cap, a dirty yellow-green shirt, a black belt with a rectangular silver buckle, brown pants and boots, Quaid opens the door. Great two kids. He thinks. “Look, if Staylan sent you to me to babysit, tell her I don't like children, especially teenagers.” He says. He shuts the door. Umm… Arianna thinks. Rapunzel knocks again. 

“Sir, we aren't children. I’m 19 and she's 36. She looks like an older teen because we both had a chance encounter with light magic when I was born.” She explains. He opens the door.

“Sorry, ladies, it's just that I am not too fond of children because I worked in juvenile justice for nine years and those kids were a handful.” He apologizes. Arianna puts a hand up to her mouth and giggles. “Come in.”. They walk in. 

They go into a wooden room. The room is filled with papers, books with red covers, and ships-in-a-bottle. There is a wooden desk with high stacks of paper in the front of the room. Quaid sits at his desk. “So, ladies, what ya need?” He questions. 

“Anthony's threatening to come back and take over and Staylan said to get you.” Rapunzel announces. Whoa! I’m retired! Quaid thinks. “Sorry, I’m retired!”. So, ThIs iS gOiNg WeLl! Arianna thinks. Ugg… Wait, I can probably think of something to convince him… remind him of the people.

“Quaid, think of all the people you helped.”. He picked up a little girl with red Dutch braids, tan skin, green eyes, and freckles wearing a pink gown in Vardaros town square and set her on his shoulder.  

“I'm in.”.

Quaid is in a grassy field with Rapunzel, Eugene, Arianna, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera. Lance runs with a black mask over his head. Quaid tries to catch him, but he trips and faceplants. The others cringe. 

Quaid stands next to Arianna. They both have lassoes. Arianna waves hers around. It goes in the air. Quaid waves his around. It goes into the air and falls on him, tangling him up in it. Arianna looks at him. That's not good. She thinks. Her lasso falls on her, tangling her up in it. The others cringe. 

Rapunzel goes over and untangles Quaid and Arianna. "Thanks Rapunzel." They tell her. 

"You're welcome, guys." She replies. 

"I don't think I'm very good at this. I'm sorry, guys, but I'm not your guy.". He walks away. 

The others look in the direction he walks. Bummer Rapunzel thinks. We could stage a robbery. Eugene thinks. "Guys, Lance, Hook Foot, Staylan, Cassandra, and I could stage a robbery." He suggests. Not the best idea but, okay. Arianna thinks. The others nod in agreement.

Rapunzel, Eugene, Arianna, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, Kiera, and Staylan are in Vardaros town square. Eugene, Lance, Hook Foot, and Staylan wear black masks over their head and are holding brown leather sacks filled with Arianna's, Varian's, Natalia's, Catalina's, and Kiera's stuffed animals. They start running. "HELP! I'VE BEEN ROBBED!" Cassandra calls.  Quaid hears and runs over. He tackles Eugene, Lance, Hook Foot, and Staylan. Eugene's mask falls off. Eugene? Quaid thinks. He gets up.

"The whole thing was staged wasn't it?" He questions. He walks away. 

"I knew it wasn't the best idea!" Arianna announces. 

"Why didn't you say that before?" Eugene asks her. 

We gotta fix this. Rapunzel thinks. "Guys, Sara and I will go and explain this. Everyone else, stay put." She explains. 

Rapunzel and Sara run to Quaid. "Quaid, I know you're upset about the robbery not being real. I'm sorry. We were just trying to show you that you can succeed. You just gotta be confident in yourself." Rapunzel explains. He looks at her. She's right. He thinks. 

"Besides, real or not real, you still stopped a robbery either way." Sara inputs. Sara! Rapunzel playfully thinks. He just laughs.

Rapunzel, Eugene, Arianna, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, Kiera, Staylan, and Quaid are in Vardaros town square. Anthony walks into Vardaros. Quaid tackles him. Anthony gets up and runs. Everyone cheers. 

Chapter Text

Rapunzel, Eugene, Arianna, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera stand in Vardaro's town square talking to Stalyan. People with tan skin and brown eyes and hair wearing black are walking around town with downcast eyes. "Aww, everyone looks so sad." Rapunzel notices. There isn't much to smile about in Vardaros. Eugene thinks. 

"Sunshine, there really isn't much to smile about in Vardaros.". Then let's give them something to smile about! Rapunzel thinks. 

"Then let's give them something to smile about!". She chased a brown gopher in a forest with green grass and evergreen as she wore a short brown wig and an orange dress. She remembers. "We could have the Goodwill Festival here!" She suggests. Everyone else cheers.

A huge blue and purple round-top tent is in the middle of town square. Arianna and Rapunzel sit inside at a wooden desk. A dirty yellow piece of paper is on it. “Okay, Mom, you’re a good party planner. You planned all my birthday parties.” Rapunzel announces. What did I just say? She wonders. They just look at each other. “Forget that. You’re a good party planner. Any ideas?”. Pony rides.

“We could do pony rides.” Arianna suggests. We only have three horses in the entire city. She remembers. “Oh, we only have three horses.”. 

“That's okay. We’ll think of something else.” Rapunzel replies. Hang gliding.  

“Hang glid…” Arianna starts. That's an insane idea! She silently criticizes herself. “Never mind. I’m insane.”. Rapunzel giggles.

“Anything else?”. A writing contest! 

“A writ…” Arianna starts. That sounds boring. “Rapunzel, I'm sorry, but I just can't think of anything.”.

“Mom, you have good ideas. Remember when we watched the celestial shower for your birthday?”.

“But that was for me. I don't know what other people want.”. She walks away. Is she okay? Rapunzel worries. 

Rapunzel goes over to Eugene. “Hey, Sunshine, how’s it going?” Eugene asks his girlfriend. 

“Not very good. Mom isn't acting like herself. …” Rapunzel explains. Uh-oh Eugene thinks. “... She's acting super insecure. She's not confident in her ideas.”. It sounds like she's relying too much on Rapunzel. 

“Blondie, It sounds like she's relying too much on you.” He replies. “How ‘bout you leave her alone for a while.”. Hope that works. Rapunzel thinks.

Hook Foot and Lance walk in the prairie. They see a huge flat brown weasel with glowing green eyes, black eyebrows, a red nose, a light brown chin, a bright red tongue, light brown paws, sharp claws, black diamond markings going down its back, and a tail with a club at the end, a sneezeweasel. Totally not a dangerous creature. They think. They bring it back to Vardaros.

Arianna is walking through the town square. She sees the sneezeweasel. That is one big beast. She thinks. It swipes its paw, knocking down the tent. People scream and scatter. We can bring it down! Rapunzel thinks. "Mom! We can bring it down!" She announces. Okay Arianna thinks. Rapunzel tosses her a piece of her hair. They run forward, tripping it. Everyone else cheers.

Rapunzel, Eugene, Arianna, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, Kiera, and Stalyan are outside of the caravan. “Goodbye,” she announces. She and Eugene hug. Rapunzel, Eugene, Arianna, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera go in the caravan. Rapunzel and Arianna sit on the purple bench. 

“Mom, feel more confident now?” Rapunzel asks Arianna. 

“Definitely” Arianna replies. They hug.

Chapter Text

The caravan stops at a dark forest of gray, decaying trees. Everyone gets out. A tree with a scary face greets them. "Looks like something out of a horror story." Kiera comments. 

"ThAnK yOu FoR pOiNtInG tHaT oUt." Catalina comments. 

Adira sits on top of the caravan. Arianna climbs on top of it with a silver sword with a black handle. Oh no! Adira thinks. "Look! Sunray! I'm not here to hurt you! I can help you!" She explains. Arianna drops her sword. "I can get you through the forest.". Why did she call her Sunray? Rapunzel wonders. 

"Sunray?" She questions. 

"I find it easier to call people by a defining characteristic instead of taking time to learn their names," Adira replies as she and Arianna climb down. "Sunray," She says as she points at Arianna. Arianna smiles. "Sundrop," She says as she points at Rapunzel. Rapunzel smiles. "Short hair," She says as she points at Cassandra. Cassandra smiles. "Hair stripe," She says as she points at Varian. Varian smiles.

"Earrings," She says as she points at Lance. Lance smiles. "Hook Foot," She says as she points at Hook Foot. That's my actual name! He thinks. "Hey! That's my actual name!" He protests. "Paintbrush," She says as she points at Sara. Sara smiles. "Braid," She says as she points at Natalia. Natalia smiles. "Red," She says as she points at Catalina. Catalina smiles. "Angry," She says as she points at Kiera. Kiera hisses. "And Fishskin." She says as she points at Eugene. What in Corona?! He thinks. 

"What kind of name is that?!" He asks her. 

"Nevermind. The important thing is I can get you through the deadly Forest of No Return." She dramatically whispers. Oh, great, some psycho lady's gonna take my position in the group. Eugene thinks. 

"Adira, thank you, but I think I can navigate my group through the forest just fine." He tells her. 

"But, the Forest of No Return constantly shifts and changes its shape. Which is why you need my map." She replies as she pulls out a pink cootie-catcher. 

A ten-year-old Arianna, who wore a dress with a white top and braided hair,  sat on a pink canopy bed in a pink room with a pink cootie-catcher in her lap . Arianna remembers. "A cootie-catcher!" She exclaims. 

"It's also a map for the forest." Adira explains. 

"Oh, com'on! Who do you trust more! This crazy psycho lady or me, your friend who you have known all your life!" Eugene exclaims. Definitely Adira. Cassandra thinks. 

"Sorry, Eugene, but if Adira says she can guide us through a deadly forest, then we trust her." Cassandra explains. Eugene looks at the group. They nod. He sighs, annoyed.

Rapunzel, Arianna, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera are in the caravan. Adira sits on top of the caravan. Please be okay, Eugene. Rapunzel thinks. "I hope Eugene's okay.". 

"Aww, sweetheart, sometimes men are just dumb. When I was ten, and Dad was 11 he broke his arm riding a seal, and I didn't talk to him for six months." Arianna comforts her. Rapunzel giggles. 

They suddenly find themselves back at the entrance. What in Corona? They think. "What in Corona?!" Cassandra exclaims. 

"The Forest of No Return constantly shifts shapes, so that's why I gave Eugene the map." Adira explains. "But, you have me so, you'll be okay.". They continue.

They come across giant orange and blue tye-dye tulips with bright green leaves. 

“Woah…” Cassandra gasps. Suddenly, giant black spiders, Dertixits come out of the flowers and tie them up. Lance freezes.

Eugene is standing in the forest. I should have sucked up my pride. He thinks. Adira approaches him. “Adira, I'm sorry, I should have sucked up my pride.” He apologies. 

“I forgive you, Fishskin. I see the way you care for Sundrop.” She replies. Stop calling me that! He thinks. 

“Would you stop with the Fishskin, already!” He exclaims.

“Aww, but it's a compliment. Fishskin makes a wonderful glue. You are the glue that holds the group together.”. He smiles. He looks at the map. It’s inside out. He realizes.

“The map! It’s inside out. I know where our friends are!” He declares. They jump through the green sinkhole on the ground.

Adira and Eugene arrive at the Dertixits. Eugene uses his silver sword to free Rapunzel. Adira uses her black rock sword to free Cassandra. Eugene frees Arianna. Adira frees Varian. Eugene frees Lance. Adira frees Hook Foot. Eugene frees Natalia. Adira frees Sara. Eugene frees Catalina. Adira frees Kiera. 

“Eugene!” Rapunzel exclaims as she hugs him. They see the black rock trail.  “Thanks, Adira!” They tell her as they walk out. “Thanks, Fishskin.” Kiera teases Eugene.

“That's a compliment.” He corrects her.

Chapter Text

Everyone is sleeping on colorful mattresses outside of the caravan. A lantern tips over. It sets the grass on fire. Cassandra wakes up. She sniffs in smoke. "FIRE!" She screams. Eugene, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera wake up. They run out. Eugene, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, Kiera, she thinks. Rapunzel and Mom didn't get out. She realizes. "RAPUNZEL! MOM!" She screams as she starts running back. No, you don't! Eugene thinks. He grabs her collar. She hugs Eugene and cries. 

Rapunzel wakes up. She sees the flames around her. She shakes Arianna awake. Rapunzel picks Arianna up. They burn. 

Yellow flames circle them. Rapunzel turns into a yellow and purple phoenix. Arianna turns into a yellow and pink phoenix. They look at themselves. We're alive! Rapunzel thinks. "We're alive!" She announces as she raises her wings. We're phoenixes! Arianna thinks. 

"And even better: we're phoenixes!" Arianna announces as she raises her wings. "Woohoo!" She hollers as she spins. 

Cassandra and Eugene see Rapunzel and Arianna. "Rapunzel! Mom! Is that you?!" Cassandra questions. 

"Yes, Cassie," Arianna replies. 

"And you're okay!?" Eugene questions. 

"We're phoenixes!" Rapunzel announces. Cassandra and Eugene laugh, relieved.

“Life's been so unsatisfying

Look, suddenly, now we’re flying”

Rapunzel sings as she flies up. 

“Freewheeling from cloud to cloud to cloud”

Rapunzel sings as Arianna and her hop on the clouds. 

“Wings spread and the sky below us

There's no one to stop or slow us”

Rapunzel sings as they fly forward. 

 “Pure freedom and everything's allowed”

Rapunzel sings as she spins. 

“Down there

We know there's tons of burdens we must bear

Somewhere”

Rapunzel sings as Arianna and her fly around camp. 

“But from up here

The world looks so small”

Rapunzel sings as she flies up. She looks at the caravan. 

“And suddenly life seems so clear

And from up here

You coast past it all”

Rapunzel sings as Arianna and her glide around the clouds. 

“The obstacles just disappear”

Rapunzel sings as she flies through a cloud.  

“Never feel heavy or earthbound

No worries or doubts interfere”

Rapunzel sings as she spins. 

“There's nothing but you looking down on the view from up here”

Rapunzel sings as she looks down at camp. 

“Stretch out with the wind behind you”

Rapunzel sings as she helps Arianna stretch out her wings. 

 “Here we go”

Arianna sings as she flaps her wings. 

“Float up, let the current find you”

Rapunzel sings as she flies up. 

 “Look out below”

Arianna falls. Rapunzel grabs her wing. “Mom, sorry, but you're a bird and can literally fly, so how are you falling?!” Rapunzel questions. 

“Umm…” Arianna starts. I'm really clumsy. She thinks “... I'm just really clumsy?”. They laugh. 

“Keep climbing and sail from breeze to

Breeze”

Rapunzel sings as she glides through the clouds. 

“Hey, wait up for me please!”

Arianna calls. Rapunzel stops, letting Arianna catch up to her. 

“Head up to the stratospheres

With only the stars to steer us

Just think of the possibilities”

Rapunzel sings as they fly through layers of clouds up to the stars in space. 

“I think I've got it!”

Arianna tells her. 

“Below

We spend our whole lives trudging to and 'fro”

Rapunzel sings as they fly back to Earth. 

“Now-”

Rapunzel starts. 

“Woah!”

Arianna exclaims as she does a backflip. 

“And from up here

The world looks so wide”

Rapunzel sings as she looks down.  

“Yet every horizon seems near”

Arianna sings as she flies to the sun. 

“And from up here

No path is denied”

Rapunzel sings as she flies along the black rock path. 

“We choose which direction we veer”

Arianna sings as she flies beside her. 

“And suddenly you can breathe easy”

Rapunzel sings as she flies ahead of Arianna.  

“Contented”

Arianna sings as she flies ahead of Rapunzel. 

“Carefree”

Rapunzel sings as she flies ahead of Arianna.  

“Cavalier”

Arianna sings as she flies ahead of Rapunzel. 

“Just gliding on through

Looking down on the view from up here”

Rapunzel sings as she flies ahead of Arianna.

They sing as they fly through layers of clouds up to the stars in space. 

They fly back to Earth. 

“Each mountain”

They sing as they fly past a purple, snow capped mountain. 

“and meadow”

They sing as they fly through a green, grassy, meadow with red, orange, and purple wildflowers. 

“and mere”

They sing as they fly above a lake. 

“And from up here

Life's duties and chores

Are barely worth shedding a tear”

They sing as they fly around each other. 

“And all of the sky lies before us

Straight up to the far stratosphere”

They sing as they fly through layers of clouds up to the stars in space. 

“So head for the blue and let's take in the view from up here”

They sing as they fly back to Earth. 

“It's just me and you looking down on the view from up here”

They sing as they fly around each other. 

Suddenly, Arianna falls. "Mom!" Rapunzel exclaims. She flies after her. Arianna falls into the river. She turns back to herself. Rapunzel giggles. She dives into the river. She turns back to herself. Cassandra and Eugene run to them. Eugene hugs Rapunzel. Cassandra hugs Arianna. 

"We should do that again!" Rapunzel announces.

Getting burned, I don't think so. Eugene thinks. Getting burned, I don't think so. Cassandra thinks.

"NO!" They jinx. 

"Okay," Rapunzel and Arianna reply. They walk back to camp.

Chapter Text

Everybody is sitting in a circle of logs by the caravan. Hey, Rapunzel and I haven't had a date in a while. Eugene thinks. "Hey, Rapunzel, want to go on a date?" He asks her. A date?! Rapunzel thinks. 

"Yes." She replies. 

Rapunzel and Eugene are walking through the forest. They see a wooden stand with a striped pink and purple cover. They go up to it. A lady with fair skin, black wavy hair, gray eyes, a beauty mark under her right eye, a pointed nose with a mole, cyan eye shadow, a dress made of a white, short-sleeved blouse, a light purple vest over it, a dark teal and cyan skirt with a white petticoat underneath, a dark purple apron, she wears a dark red headscarf, a pair of mixed earrings, two necklaces, and two bracelets,  Madam Canardist is sitting at a wooden stand holding a crystal ball. A little brown monkey with a lighter mouth, stomach, and hands wearing a yellow dipper, Vigor, is on her shoulder. Rapunzel and Eugene approach them. "Hi, I'm Rapunzel, and this is my boyfriend, Eugene." Rapunzel introduced them. 

"Rapunzel and Eugene! How are you?" She replies. 

"Great, actually. We're on a date." He replies. 

"A date! How fun!". 

Little do they know, as they are talking, Catalina and Kiera sneak up and snatch Vigor. Madam Canardist turns around. "Vigor! He's gone!" She shouts. Oh-no Rapunzel thinks. 

"Eugene, let's go find him!" She announces. They run off.

They find themselves in front of a bush. They see Catalina, Kiera, and Vigor. They go up to them. They cross their arms. "Why did you steal Vigor?" Eugene questions. 

"He said that he would help us find our family." Kiera explains. Okay, fair. Eugene thinks. We left Mom with Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, and Cassandra- six very chaotic people. Rapunzel remembers. 

"Eugene, we left Mom with six very chaotic people." Rapunzel tells him.

"Girls, we have to go get Arianna first." Eugene announces.

"'kay," They reply.

They arrive at camp. Cassandra uses a wooden bow with a white string and a wooden arrow with a red tip and feathers to shoot a red and white target on a tree. Lance counts golden coins with yellow suns as he sits on the grass criss-cross. Varian pours a beaker of blue liquid and a beaker of yellow liquid. The liquid turns green and explodes. Hook Foot spins in the grass. Natalia sits in her wheelchair with her legs crossed writing in an aquamarine notebook with a peacock feather pen. Arianna sits on a log reading a book with a pink cover covering her ears. Rapunzel taps her shoulder. "Hey, want to go on a little hike with me, Eugene, Catalina, Kiera, and this little monkey named Vigor?" Rapunzel asks her. 

"Sure." She replies. Rapunzel offers her hand to Arianna. She helps Arianna up. Vigor points left. They start going that way.

They arrive at a wooden drawbridge with rope sides. They cross it to a grassy floating island. A clay, tan house with an orange door, a blue roof, windows with wooden framing, and an orange door. The house is under a giant oak tree with orange leaves. Eugene knocks on the door. A European man with brown hair and a mustache, wearing a tan tee shirt, a brown bowtie, overalls, dirty green shorts, and black boots, Robert opens the door. An Asian woman with black hair in a bun, and brown eyes, wearing a brown dress with darker sections and a white collar and cuffs, Petunia stands next to him. "Hi, Mom and Dad; I'm Kiera, your long-lost daughter." She introduces herself. Let's just play along. Petunia thinks. 

"Robert, look, our long-lost daughter has returned!" Petunia exclaims as she hugs her. 

"Kiera, I was so worried that you were never coming home!" He exclaims as he joins the hug. 

"But, you have to take my sister, Catalina too, we're a packaged deal." Kiera explains as she points to her. 

"Of course, sweetie," Petunia replies as she hugs Catalina. Arianna notices a sash of gold in a tipped-over sack in the back of the cabin. Rapunzel, Eugene, and Arianna walk away.

Something feels off. Eugene thinks. "Ladies, does something feel off to you?". 

"Not really." Rapunzel replies. She saw a sash of gold in a tipped-over sack in the back of the cabin. Arianna remembers. 

"The sash of gold in a tipped-over sack in the back of the cabin. They're thieves!" She announces. Rapunzel, Eugene, and Arianna run back to the cabin.

Kiera and Catalina are in the cabin with Petunia and Robert. “Girls, we have a confession, we are not your parents, we’re thieves.” Petunia announces. Kiera and Catalina notice a brown rope in the back of the cabin. They grab it and run around Petunia and Robert, tying them up. Petunia and Robert fall to the ground. 

Eugene kicks open the door. Wow, that actually worked. He thinks. “Wow, didn't expect that to actually work!” He announces. 

“Focus, Eugene.” Rapunzel reminds him.

“Yeah, you let those girls go…”. He stops when he sees Petunia and Robert. “Man, I love these girls!”. 

“Eugene!” Kiera cries as she runs to him. He hugs her. 

“Rapunzel! Arianna!” Catalina cries as she runs to them. They hug. If we don't have a family, then who are we? Kiera wonders. “If we don't have a family, then who are we?”. Arianna kneełs down and puts her hand on her shoulder.

“Sweetie, you do have a family, Catalina.” She tells her. They hug.

“Now, say we return a kidnapped monkey?” Eugene asks her.

Rapunzel, Eugene, Arianna, Catalina, Kiera, and Vigor are at Madam Canardist's stand. 

"Sorry we stole Vigor." Kiera tells Madam Canardist as she hands him to her. 

"That's okay; did you find what you were looking for?" Madam Canardist asks. 

"Yes," Kiera responds as she hugs Catalina. Rapunzel, Eugene, Arianna, Catalina, and Kiera walk away. 

"Yeah, not a fan of people who pretend to be other people's parents." Arianna announces. Everybody laughs. 

Vigor watches the group walk away. Can't believe I met the Sundrop! He thinks. 

Chapter Text

Everyone arrives at a green spire. They go inside. Inside the spire, there were green walls with holes that held magical artifacts in them. Green stairs were up against the walls. A small woman with short braided blonde hair, tan skin, blue eyes wearing glasses, an orangish-brownish dress with riffles at the bottom, a white coat with brown lining, a brown belt around her waist, and brown sandals, Penelope approaches them. “Hi guys, I'm Penelope; what do you need?” She introduces  herself.

“We're not sure.” Rapunzel replies. Okay… a bit weird. Penelope thinks. Rapunzel, Eugene, Arianna, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera look around. Varian sees a purple granite crystal. Wow! He thinks. He runs to it and picks it up.

“The number of crystals in this must be thousands upon thousands!” He explains. Okay, he's weird. Kiera thinks. Maybe they could help me. Penelope thinks. 

“Hey, guys, do you want to walk with me down to the vault?” She asks. Sounds fun. Rapunzel thinks. 

“Sure.” Rapunzel replies. They walk down a dark stairwell.

They are walking in a passageway lit by torches. “You know we tried to get the Sundrop in the vault but, when we went to Corona about 14 years ago, it was gone and there were just a bunch of rocks.” Penelope explains. “You’re from Corona, know anything about that?”. Arianna and Rapunzel just freeze.

“Uhh… We ate it.” Rapunzel replies as she holds Arianna’s hand. Huh Penelope thinks.

“Do I even want to know what happened?” She asks. 

“NO!” the group replies.

Suddenly, a giant red bear with ram horns, spikes, beady eyes, and fangs, the Curlock,  jumps out. You gotta be kidding me. Penelope thinks. 

"Don't worry… This was in my training." She announces. She pulls out the keys. She fumbles with them. The Curlock charges them. 

Rapunzel pulls them aside. "Key, key, key," Penelope mumbles. 

"Do you have the key?" Cassandra asks her. 

"I don't know!". 

"How could you not know! You're the Keeper!". Penelope sighs. 

"I'm not the real Keeper! The real Keeper's my pa. But he went missing a few months ago. And ever since, I have been running this on my own. I had two more lessons to complete. They were about how to open this door and what to do about this thing.". Arianna hugs her. Eugene and Lance could pick the lock, and Rapunzel and I could defeat the Curlock! She thinks. 

"Eugene and Lance could pick the lock, and Rapunzel and I could defeat the Curlock!". She tosses Eugene her pink beret. Rapunzel tosses her hair to her. They trip the Curlock. Eugene and Lance pick the lock. They open the door to a crystal blue room with a table with a parchment scroll in the middle. 

Rapunzel runs over to the table. She picks up the scroll. A picture of a hooded man with tan skin, and a metal eyepatch, dressed in black, Lord Demanitus, with a pink and blue background surrounded by writing in Old Coronian is on it. 

We had to go through all that for a picture of a man in a hood. Eugene thinks. "Seriously, we had to go through all that for a picture of a man in a hood?!". 

"You Coronians, of all people, should know that nothing worth having comes easy." An old European man with a long beard, and bluish-gray eyes, wearing the same robe, Keeper says as walked into the room. Daddy! Penelope thinks.

"Dad!" She exclaims as she runs over to him. 

He kneels and hugs her.

"Surely there was another way to teach her that without almost getting us all killed." Eugene says. Keeper laughs. 

"The Curlock is actually a loyal family pet of ours, and as a finishing training gift, you get a baby one." Keeper explains. A baby Curlock comes out behind him. Penelope hugs her. 

Chapter Text

The caravan is floating on the ocean with a purple, rubber bottom. Suddenly, it starts raining and a lightning bolt strikes the water, creating a wave that rocks the caravan. Everyone's tossed to the side. I don't want Mom to get hurt. Rapunzel thinks. She grabs Arianna. Rapunzel and Eugene hug her. She cuddles Rapunzel. Everyone's tossed around a few times before it finally stops because they're shipwrecked on Tirapai Island, a sandy island with palm trees. 

They feel the caravan stop. They get out. They look around. A little orange leaf man, a Lorb named Leafy climbs on top of a nearby gray, shiny rock. Arianna! She's back! He thinks.

"Arianna! So happy to see your face again!" He thinks. A talking leaf! Rapunzel, Eugene, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera think. They scream. 

"No, no, no, there are creatures called Lorbs here that look like talking leaves here," Arianna explains, patting her hands. She kneels and picks up Leafy.

“Arianna, you look young.”.

“Chance encounter with light magic a few decades ago.”.

“Details?”. No Arianna thinks.

“You don't want to know.”.

“Oh, how did things go with Frederic?”.

“Married.”. Arianna smiles.

“Good! How’s Willow?”. I don't know.

“Dunno, haven't heard from her in over a year. Probably having an adventure somewhere.”.

“Edmund?”. I don't know.

“Dunno, I haven't heard from him since I was 15.”.

“Emilia?”.

“She got sick and passed away when I was 10.”.

“I’m sorry. How’s Ulla?”.

“Dunno, disappeared about 15 years ago.”.

“Trevor?”.

“He turned out to be a ding-dong and he and I are no longer on speaking terms.".

“Quirin?”.

“He turned out to be a huge jerk and he and I are no longer on speaking terms.".

“Goth-”. I can't let the other’s know that I was friends with Gothel. She picks up Leafy.

“Listen, Leafy. She turned out to be a horrible person and I no longer talk about her anymore!” She tells him.

“Okay! Sorry!”.

Meanwhile, Pascal is crawling on a plant. He slips off lands on one of Rapunzel’s wooden sun stamps, which stamps a sun design on his stomach.

He crawls to the village. Our leader! Leafy thinks. “Our leader has returned!” He announces. Red, orange, and yellow Lorbs pick Pascal up. They parade him around.

Pascal is sitting on the leaf. Leafy comes up to him. "Pascal, come with me." He tells him. 

They go to a purple stone cave. A painting of Pascal standing over a giant firefly with a red body is on the wall. "You will defeat the tuk-tuk." Leafy tells him. What have I gotten myself into? Pascal thinks.

Meanwhile, Rapunzel, who is now wearing a skinny, green ombre dress with a white lining and a pink island flower in her hair, is looking at the giant yellow bamboo tree house she just built with the other girls. Cassandra, who's wearing a white tee shirt with brown pants that stop at her knees, is standing beside her. Arianna, who's wearing a skinny, pink dress with green flower petal-shaped columns, is standing on the other side of her. Natalia, who's wearing an aqua ombre dress with a white lining with a row of blue dolphins at the bottom, is sitting in her wheelchair on the other side of her. Sara, who's wearing a yellow ombre dress with a white lining at the bottom, is  standing on the other side of her. Kiera and Catalina are standing on the other side of her. "Pretty nice tree house if I do say so myself." Cassandra says. The others smile. 

I'm hungry. Rapunzel thinks. She sees a bush of red peppers. She goes over and picks one. I wouldn't eat that. Cassandra thinks. "Rapunzel, I wouldn't..." She starts. Rapunzel takes a bite of it. Her mouth burns and waters. She screams. And now we need water. Arianna thinks. 

She runs inside the treehouse. The inside of the treehouse is yellow bamboo. There is a yellow bamboo pump-sink and counters and cabinets. She goes over to the cabinets. She opens one up, grabs a small glass, then closes it. She fills up the glass by pumping the sink. 

She runs out. She gives the glass to Rapunzel. Rapunzel drinks it. Her mouth cools. 

“Thanks, Mom.” Rapunzel tells Arianna. 

“You're welcome.” She replies.

Meanwhile, in the Lorb Village, the tuk-tuk appears. The Lorbs run and scream. Oh, curd. Pascal thinks. 

He runs to the treehouse. Rapunzel sees him. “Hey, buddy, what's up?” She asks him. The tuk-tuk appears. It breathes fire. Oh, okay. She thinks. She saw a bush of red peppers. She went over and picked one. She took a bite of it. Her mouth burned and watered. She remembers. “It ate the red peppers!” She announces. She goes over to the ocean. “Overgrown dragonfly! Come here!”. The tuk-tuk flies over. It drinks the water. It stops breathing fire. 

“Three cheers for Pascal!” Leafy announces. The Lorbs pick Pascal up. They parade him around.

Chapter Text

It is night. Hook Foot is at the edge of the beach. A heavyweight mermaid with black hair wearing a green sand dollar hair clip, dark green eyes, purple eyeshadows, eyeliner, pink lipstick, a beauty mark, a pink tattoo on her right shoulder, a magenta sports bra, and a green tail with darker markings, Seraphina sits on a gray rock in the ocean. Hook Foot gasps. "I'm Seraphina, what's your name?" She asks him in a western accent. 

"Hoo... Hook Foo… Foot." He stammers. She flutters her eyes. Ahh, he thinks.

In the morning, Hook Foot is clipping his toenails with a crab. Rapunzel comes out from the bushes. She sees him. Eww! That's so gross! She thinks. She smiles nervously. I can't let the others know I have a date tonight! Hook Foot thinks. He runs away. 

Cassandra waves a silver sword with a black handle in the sand. She hears something squeaking. She goes and pushes the bushes back. Hook Foot is cleaning his teeth with a small stick. Eww! That's so gross! She thinks. She smiles nervously. I can't let the others know I have a date tonight! Hook Foot thinks. He runs away. 

Arianna, Varian, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera are side-sitting around a sandcastle. It needs shells. Arianna thinks. “I'm going to get shells.” She announces. She tries to get up but, she falls. “Why can't you get up when you're side-sitting?”. She rolls over on her stomach and gets up. She goes over to the ocean. She sees Hook Foot gathering shells. I can't let the others know I have a date tonight! Hook Foot thinks. He runs away. 

Eugene and Lance are walking on the beach. They see Hook Foot spin. I can't let the others know I have a date tonight! Hook Foot thinks. He runs away. 

Rapunzel, Eugene, Arianna, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera are in the treehouse. “There's something about Hook Foot.” Arianna announces. The others nod. Eugene and I could go investigate. Rapunzel thinks. 

“Eugene and I could go investigate.” She suggests. Eugene nods. 

Rapunzel and Eugene walk up to Hook Foot. “Hey, Hook, the others and us have noticed that you haven't been acting like yourself lately.” Rapunzel tells him. Oh, fiddlesticks, now I have to tell them. Hook Foot thinks.  

“I have a date tonight.”. Oh fun! Rapunzel thinks. 

“That sounds like fun.”. 

“She’s a mermaid.”. Oh, okay, Rapunzel thinks. Oh, okay, Eugene thinks.

Everyone is at the beach. Seraphina sits on a gray rock in the ocean. “Everyone, this is my girlfriend, Seraphina.” Hook Foot introduces her as he extends his arms to the side towards her. Everyone goes to her. Something about her gives me bad vibes. But, I won't tell anyone so I don't hurt Hook Foot’s feelings. Arianna thinks. Seraphina sees Arianna.

“Hey, girl,” She tells her. Arianna waves a little and smiles.

“That's Ari, she has autism.” Hook Foot explains.

“Oh!”.

Seraphina sits on a gray rock in a small lagoon in front of a waterfall. Hook Foot is sitting beside her. Rapunzel and Eugene are behind them. “Love is hard work.” Eugene tells Hook Foot. 

“It doesn't have to be.” Rapunzel tells Hook Foot. 

“Flatter her.” Eugene tells Hook Foot. 

“Say what’s on your mind.” Rapunzel tells Hook Foot. 

“Be proper.” Eugene tells Hook Foot. 

“Be yourself.” Rapunzel tells Hook Foot. Would they stop? Seraphina thinks. 

“HEY! WOULD YOU STOP!” Seraphina yells. 

“Sorry.” They reply. 

Suddenly, giant blue monsters with eyes like ice lighter fins on their heads and forearms, light blue chests and bellies, dark blue belts with white spikes crossing their chests and bellies, dark blue legs, and light blue feet and hands, Water Goblins jump out of the ocean. 

Eugene hits it on the head with a black, cast-iron frying pan. Arianna smacks it with her book on the back of his head. Cassandra punches it. Varian throws down a pink ball. Pink smoke covers the area. Lance grabs it by the arms, pulls them behind it, and trips it with his foot. One gets up. One gets up and approaches Sara. She waves the brown wooden paintbrush she is holding in front of her. A puff of rainbow sparkles appears and pushes it back. One gets up and grabs Kiera, and she drops to the ground and sweeps her legs under it, planting her hands under her for support. One gets up and grabs Catalina. She punches it. One gets up. Natalia kicks it. One falls. 

Hook Foot picks up Seraphina and begins to run. “Hookie, wait.” She tells him. He stops.

“They're here for me. I stole a priceless pearl from the kingdom. I thought that if I fell for you, I could escape.” She explains. She used me! He thinks.

“You used me!”.

“At first, it was like that. But, then I fell for you.”. He hugs her. Two goblins pick her up by the arms. His eyes water.

In the morning, Hook Foot sits on the beach looking out on the ocean. Rapunzel and Eugene walk up to him. 

"How are you doing, Hook?" He asks him. 

"I really miss her already." He replies. 

The tide comes in. Thousands of blue, shiny rocks, Mermaid Tears; wash up on shore. "Mermaid Tears! They must be from Seraphina!" Kiera exclaims. Arianna picks one up and looks out on the ocean.

Chapter Text

Arianna is walking along the beach in the morning. The tide comes in. A wooden square washes up on the beach. Huh She thinks. She kneels and flips it over. It is a black-and-white painting of a boy wearing a suit and a girl wearing a dress with a light top and a dark top. I miss Frederic. She thinks. She sees a sparkle. Huh She thinks. She goes over to it. A small, brown totem pole of Lorb faces with glowing, green eyes is in the sand. She picks it up. She sees Frederic. She gasps.



Arianna stands on the beach in front of the palm tree forest facing the group with the totem. “Hey guys, I found this on the beach this morning.” She announces. She shakes it. She sees Frederic. He is actually a palm tree. She kisses the tree. Okay… Eugene thinks. He grabs the idol. He sees a pile of gold coins. He jumps in the sand. "Let me see!" Cassandra cries. She grabs the idol. She sees a man with brown hair and eyes, tan skin, wearing golden armor and bearing a silver sword, Captain. She swings her sword.
 "My turn!" Lance cries. He grabs the idol. He sees a pile of gold coins. He jumps in the sand. 
"Hey, let me see that!" Hook Foot cries. He grabs the idol. He sees Seraphina. He kisses her, but she is actually a shiny rock. 
"Hey, give me a turn!" Sara cries. She grabs the idol. She sees a boy with tan skin, brown eyes, and black hair wearing a white suit and pants with a green shirt underneath, Matthew and a skinny girl with pale skin, wavy white hair, and red eyes, wearing a white dress and a green cloak, Gabriella. She goes to hug them, but they aren't there, so she faceplants in the sand. Varian grabs it. He sees a man with tan skin, black hair, gray eyes, rosy cheeks, a shaved beard, a red tee-shirt, brown hair vest, black gloves, shorts, and boots, Quirin. He hugs a palm tree. Natalia grabs it. She sees a gray dolphin. She dives out of her wheelchair.


Rapunzel, Catalina, and Kiera just watch. We should probably get rid of the idol. Rapunzel thinks. “Hey guys, I am going to try to dispose of the idol.” She announces. Catalina and Kiera nod.



Lance is walking through the palm tree forest with the idol. He sees a web of Rapunzel’s hair. Suddenly, Rapunzel comes down wearing black war paint, a crown made of green leaves, nails of sticks, and a giant, gray stone on her tushie. He screams and drops it. Rapunzel quickly takes off her disguise and grabs the idol and a small, gray stone, and runs to the top of the mountain. She sees a pile of flat, plate-sized, gray stones. She sets the idol on top of the pile. She takes the stone and smashes the idol. She walks down the mountain.


The others stand on the beach. I better apologize for all that. Arianna thinks. She approaches Rapunzel, arms crossed. “I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused.” She apologizes.


“No worries, besides, it was fun to see the seven of you acting insane.” Rapunzel replies. They laugh.



Arianna sits on the beach looking out on the ocean. Rapunzel comes up and sits beside her. “I know you miss Dad. But, you will see each other again in about six months.” Rapunzel tells her. They hug.

Chapter Text

The group is on the beach. Rapunzel wears a green ombre bikini. Eugene wears green swim trunks. Arianna wears a pink ombre bikini. Cassandra wears a red ombre bikini. Lance wears red swim trunks. Hook Foot wears dark green swim trunks. Varian wears mint trousers. Natalia wears an aquamarine ombre bikini. Sara wears a  yellow ombre bikini. Catalina wears a pink one-piece swimsuit. Kiera wears a black one-piece swimsuit. 

Natalia sees a dolphin calf. She taps her mom. Arianna looks at her. “Hi, sweetie," Arianna greets her as she takes her hand. Natalia points to the dolphin calf. Arianna gasps. “Punzie! Cassie!” She cries. What does she want? Rapunzel wonders. They swim over. They see the dolphin calf. They gasp. Natalia pets its head. Arianna pets its head. Rapunzel pets its head. Cassandra pets its head. 

Arianna and Natalia dive. They see dolphins, whale sharks, yellow rays with blue spots, and colorful fish. They swim. 

They swim ashore. They lay on their stomachs and prop themselves up with their arms. “Ready to leave?” Rapunzel askes. They nod.

Everybody is on the caravan dock back in their regular attire. Eugene sees a picture of himself with a long nose on a paper. A draft horse with white hair, a blonde mane, brown eyes, wearing a brown saddle and a golden sun medal, Maximus points to the nose with his hooves then points at Eugene. My nose does not look like that! Eugene thinks. “My nose does not look like that!” He exclaims. Maximus nods positivity. They jump on each other. They fall overboard. 

“Great! Now we're overboard!” He exclaims. A pirate ship comes. “Thank goodness! We’re gonna live!”. They climb on. They see a woman with dark red hair, pale skin, dark eyes, purple eyeshadow, a black tank top with gray patches, a black belt with a gray, square buckle, puffy pants, and black boots, Lady Caine, an Italian man with brown hair, bluish-gray shirt under a darker vest, a black belt with a golden buckle, brown puffy pants, blueish-gray socks, and black shoes with golden buckles, Dals, a large man with black hair, brown skin, wearing a dark blue mask, a light brown tee-shirt, a darker vest, dark brown bracelet, a skinny black belt, shorts, and brown sandals, Otter, a skinny European man with long black hair dressed in green and wearing a light red neck-tie, and black boots, Pocket, Anthony, and a black horse with brown hair, a white diamond on his face, a brown snout, a white stomach, and hooves, leather straps in the shape of a ‘Y’ with a circle in the middle, and red saddle, Axel. Oh no, they think.

 Rapunzel is standing on the dock of the caravan. She looks around. Where are Eugene and Maximus? She wonders. She goes under the deck. She looks around. She looks out the purple, circular window. She goes back “Guys, have you seen Eugene and Maximus?” 

She asks her crew. No, they think. They nod negatively. “Then, let's find them!” She announces.

The caravan approaches the pirate ship. Rapunzel, Cassandra, Lance, Hook Foot, Varian, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera swing on using the ropes of the pirate ship. Arianna jumps on riding Fidella.

“Hi, Rapunzel,” Lady Caine greets her, annoyed. “Who’d ever expected that one day I’d be free and you’d be the prisoner!”. Lady Caine holds a sword with a black handle in front of her. Suddenly, Arianna swings over with a very big, dirty, yellow history book. 

“Read your history books, she was.” She told her. She smacks Lady Caine with her book on the back of Lady Caine's head. Lady Caine goes unconscious. The group hugs.

Chapter Text

Arianna stands in front of an oak tree with green leaves holding a golden telescope. Madame Canardist approaches her with Vigor. "Hi!" Arianna greets her. That's mine! Madame Canardist thinks when she sees her telescope. 

"That's my telescope!" Madame Canardist says. Umm… Arianna thinks. 

"This was a birthday present from Rapunzel." Arianna replies.

"That was a gift from my father.". She must be mixed up. 

"Look, you must be mixed up with a similar telescope that looked like this. Rapunzel brought this for me from the Coronan market for my last birthday. The Coronan market gets shipments from Koto.".

"You're lying! Vigor is cursing you with bad luck!". Crap! Arianna thinks.

Arianna goes back to the caravan with a nervous expression. Rapunzel runs over. 

"What's wrong?! Are you hurt? Do you not feel good?" Rapunzel asks her. 

"I got cursed with bad luck by Vigor." Arianna explains. 

Oh. Rapunzel thinks. 

Hook Foot tosses a book with a blue cover with a black rose design on it. "Here, Ari, brew a potion from this book." He tells her. That's Sapoiran! She thinks. 

"I can't brew that! That's Sapoiran! Those are our enemies!".

Lance and he go into the caravan. They see a big wooden chest with a golden lining. Lance opens it and sees golden skulls, four-leaf clovers, and hearts. They put them on. 

Varian, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera go inside a room with aqua walls with pink dolphins, an aqua bed with a gray dolphin stuffed animal on it, and an aqua writing desk. Natalia gets out of her wheelchair and goes under it. Varian, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera go under the bed. 

Umm... Everyone's acting crazy. Arianna thinks. "Listen, Anna, curses aren't real. You have to believe in yourself." Eugene tells her as he puts a hand on her shoulder.

They arrive at a steep, gray rock mountain pass. "Okay, we aren't cursed. We just have to go around a boulder, turn right at a white rock wall, and turn left at a white grave…" Rapunzel reads. Great. We have to go by a grave. Arianna thinks. She smiles. 

 Eugene walks into the caravan. Where's Arianna? He wonders. Cassandra hears footsteps. Intruder! She thinks. She punches his face with her right hand. She punches his face with her left hand. He faceplants. She kicks him. She looks at him. Eugene? She thinks. "What are you doing here?" She asks him. 

"Looking for your mom. Have you seen her?" He replies. 

"No.". 

"Thanks. You are absolutely no help at all.".

The caravan goes up the mountain on a steep pass. Arianna, Rapunzel, and Eugene sit in front. The caravan is at the bottom of a gray, rocky mountain. 

"Everyone ready?" Arianna asks. They nod. 

They go up the mountain. They go around a gray boulder. The caravan almost goes off the cliff. Everybody cringes in fear. They go further up. They pass a white rock wall. They go further up. They pass a white grave. Arianna looks closer. Freda Zolpha 1037-1074 was crushed by a boulder crossing the pass. It reads. She was my age! She thinks. She shivers. 

The caravan arrives at a grassy meadow. They get out. A rainbow is in the sky. Arianna spins and smiles.

At night, Arianna’s kneeling on a grassy hill looking through her telescope. The sky is dark pink and purple. She sees a wall of pink and white dusk. Rapunzel comes up. Everyone else stands beside the caravan. 

“Mom, any luck?” Rapunzel asks Arianna. Arianna looks at her.

“Yeah, I can see the edge of the Milky Way!” Arianna exclaims. That’s bad luck. Hook Foot thinks. 

“That’s bad luck.” He announces.

“HOOK FOOT!” Everyone else yells.

Chapter Text

The caravan arrives back at Vardaros. "What are we doing back here?" Kiera questions. 

"We need supplies." Rapunzel replies. 

Suddenly, Weasel boots Eugene off. That's not good. He thinks. He goes over to the caravan and opens the door. Cassandra sees him as he steps in. Isn't he supposed to be driving? She wonders. "Hey, pretty boy, aren't you supposed to be driving?" She asks him, placing her hands on her hips. 

"I got booted off." He replies. 

"Don't tell me, Weasel hijacked us again!". He nods. 

They are thrown into a gray room. Baron is standing in front of the room. Staylan stands beside him. Please don't repeat what happened last time. Rapunzel thinks. "What do you want?" Arianna sighs. 

"The Heart of the City." He replies. What do you mean? The group thinks. 

"… Pardon?". 

"That lady knows.". He points at Cassandra. 

No, I don't. She thinks. 

"Look, there must be a mix-up. I didn't steal anyone's heart…?" She starts. That sounds so awkward. She silently criticizes herself.

"Of course you did. I have a painting of it. Sure, your hair was a little longer.". Did his spider bite him? Eugene wonders. 

"Look, I think your little spider bit you because our Cassie never stole anything. Sure she has beady eyes and a dark heart but a thief? Never!". Did you really have to say that? She thinks. 

"Of course she did! I have a painting of it. Painted by Vardaros best painter. Claudia Bagos. Nice lady.". He pulls out a painting of Gothel creeping in a dark dungeon holding a golden diamond to her chest. "Sure, she cut her hair and her clothes are different. But...". The group screams. That's not Cassandra, Rapunzel thinks.

"Umm... That's not Cassandra. That's her birth mother." She tells him. 

"'It's her birth mother.'. Weasel, take her away.". Weasel drags her to the dungeon and throws her in a black cell. 

"Okay, guys, Eugene could pick the lock," Rapunzel suggests. 

"Oh! Conspiring to break out? Weasel, take them away.". Weasel drags everybody else besides Arianna to the dungeon and throws them in Cassandra's cell.

I can't have Rapunzel locked up. Arianna thinks. “Please, is there any way I can set them free?” She pleads.

“Retrieve the diamond. Then I’ll free them.” Staylan replies. Arianna nods.

Meanwhile, in the forest, a ghost of a woman with buns in the front and straight in the back, a short-sleeve dress and gloves and an apron, and a headband made up of several tiny dots with a jewel in the middle, Zan Tiri appears. She raises her arm. Gothel rises out of the ground. “Thank you so much for bringing me back, mistress.” She says. Zan Tiri smiles.

Arianna walks through the forest. She sees Gothel. She hides in a bush with yellow flowers. When Gothel walks over, she grabs her. Heh... I'm dead. Gothel thinks. "Arianna... So good to see you!" She says. 

"Listen, Gothel; I swore to myself if I ever saw you again, I would chuck you off a cliff.". 

"Feeling's mutual.". Arianna glares at her.

"But, now I need your help. The girls are in trouble over a diamond you stole years ago.". 

"And why should I help you?". Arianna pulls her closer. 

"Listen, Gothel; remember that millennia Coronian history book Mom gave me for my seventh birthday?". Gothel nods. 

"I still have that, and if you don't help me, I will slap your face in.". And I'm stuck helping her.

Arianna and Gothel are walking through the forest. I wonder what the girls do together. Gothel wonders. 

"Ari, what do Rapunzel, Cassandra, and you do together?". Like you care. Arianna thinks. 

"We ride horses, do archery, go dancing, sing at festivals, read, go on adventures, swim... Rapunzel and I journal, play with our dolls, paint, and sometimes at night, we watch the stars. And sometimes, when we get really lucky, we sleep under the stars. She is a very interesting young woman, not just a bundle of magic hair.". Gothel glares at her. "What!? I'm not the one with killer black rocks coming out of her fingertips!". 

"I'm not the one who ate a whole flower!". 

"Everyone eats flour.". Did she just say that? Gothel glares at her. 

"So that joke fell flat. But, you know what's even weirder than eating a flower? Singing to one. If I had a millennium of immortality, I would see the world, not stay in one spot.". 

"And if my daughter was missing in action, I would go out and look for her, not stay in the castle and cry.". Arianna sticks her face in Gothel's. 

"Who says I didn't go looking for Rapunzel?".

"Me.". 

Meanwhile, further upstream, a wooden dam bursts. 

"You are the most foolish, self-serving, naïve, idiotic, ugly, pitiful, insane brat I ever met." Gothel tells Arianna.

"And you're the most selfish, ugly, creepy, cruel, rude old crone I've ever met.". 

Suddenly, the dam bursts. The water rushes to the ladies. 

"I HATE YOUR GUTS!" Arianna yells at Gothel. 

"I HATE YOUR ENTIRE BEING!". Arianna looks up. She sees the water. She sees a log. We can escape by log. S he thinks. "Now, you may not like to admit it. But I know you well enough to know that whatever you're thinking is an awful idea.". Arianna grabs Gothel's hand and jumps on the log. 

The log rushes down the river. Gothel screams, terrified. Arianna screams, thrilled. They go down a waterfall. The mist hits  Arianna's face. She laughs. 

They stop. They get off. "That was so much fun! After the incident with Rapunzel and the Sundrop, I thought I would never enjoy having fun with you again.". 

"Shut it, pipsqueak.". 

"And at the same time, some people never change.". 

Arianna sees a maroon spark. "The gem! It washed up during the flood!" She exclaims. They run up to it and kneel across from each other. They dig it up. Ten-year-old Arianna, wore a dress with a white top and purple skirt and hair in a braid, and she dug in the soil. Gothel remembers. 

"Just like old times.". Arianna giggles. She picks up a maroon heart-shaped jewel. It's an actual heart! Arianna thinks. "Huh, it's an actual heart!" She exclaims. 

"And speaking of hearts, if you don't give me that heart, I'll put a black rock through your heart.". Oh no, Arianna thinks as she curls up. 

Meanwhile, Staylan is riding a gray and black horse wearing a leather saddle. She sees the scene below. She whips the reins. 

Staylan rushes over. "Gothel! What did I say about threatening people with your powers?!" She questions. Aww, she ruins all of my fun. Gothel thinks. 

"Don't do it." She replies. 

"Arianna, get on!". Arianna climbs in front of her. They ride off. 

I should really ask her not to mention this to the others. Arianna thinks. 

"Hey, Gothel's a terrorist in my home country; so could you not mention this to my family?" Arianna asks. 

"I have to legally tell your family that you were being threatened. But, I won't name names." Staylan replies. I can work with that. Arianna thinks.

Arianna and Staylan arrive at the palace. Arianna runs up to Baron. She gives him the heart. 

"Thanks, Arianna!" He tells her.  

"You're welcome!" She replies. Weasel unlocks the cell. The group runs out. Arianna and Rapunzel hug. 

"Mom! How did you track down the heart?!" Rapunzel asks her. 

"A childhood friend of mine helped me." She replies. 

"That was nice of them.". Heh Arianna thinks.

Chapter Text

Arianna rides Fidella, and Rapunzel rides Maximus through a meadow at sunrise. The girls giggle. They arrive at the top of a brown canyon. Rapunzel jumps. Arianna jumps. Brown dust surrounds her, and she begins coughing. She lands. Is she okay? Rapunzel worries. "Mom, are you okay!?" She asks her. 

"Yeah, just got a lot of dust." Arianna replies. 

"Let's take it easy. Besides, we got black rocks to follow.". Arianna nods in agreement.

The caravan arrives at a giant, glowing, green tree. Everyone gets out. That is one big tree. Cassandra thinks. “Wow, I've seen a lot of trees, but this…” She starts. Suddenly a man with braided, black hair, tan skin, and bright green eyes, wearing black armor with a golden lining, a cape with a dark red inside, and black gloves with a golden lining, and black boots, Hector jumps out. 

“Who’s this?!” Rapunzel questions. Adira walks up. 

“My younger brother, Hector, stay with me and you’ll be safe.”. She swings her sword. Hector runs.

They go inside the tree. Its pale yellow walls have writing in Asian script. The group gasps. A picture of a glowing yellow bloom, the Sundrop, and a glowing blue stone, the Moonstone is on the walls.

"This tree once was a sentient being, a force for good, but Zan Tiri corrupted it. But Sara's father stabbed it with a spear. So, there's no harm now. You know she would have corrupted the Sundrop if Arianna and Rapunzel had not gotten it first." Adira announces. Arianna and Rapunzel smiles.

The group arrives at a grassy island. It grows dark in the tree. We should stop, Adira thinks.

"We should all stop. Night time." She announces. I want to keep exploring. Arianna thinks. 

"I want to keep going.". This tree wants the Sundrop. Adira thinks. 

"Sunray, this is not a good idea. This tree wants your magic. And it's been the only thing keeping you alive since the attack. Let me go with you in the morning.". 

"You are the most foolish, self-serving, naïve, idiotic, ugly, pitiful, insane brat I ever met."  Gothel told her. Arianna remembers. 

"I'm not a child!" Arianna announces. She storms off. I should try to patch that up. Adira thinks. 

"Can someone find Sunray and clarify that I wasn't implying that I think she's a child?" She questions. I, Rapunzel thinks. 

"I will." Rapunzel announces. 

Rapunzel goes to the edge of the island with Pascal on her shoulder. She sees Arianna crying. "Hey, Mom, you know that Adira wasn't implying that she thinks you are a child. She just wants you to be safe. Dad would be sad if something happened to you, Cassandra would, Eugene would, Natalia would, and I know I would, you're my best friend." Rapunzel tells Arianna. Me too, Pascal thinks. He squeaks. Arianna giggles. "But, if you want to keep exploring, I won't stop you.". 

"I think I will.". 

Rapunzel goes into the caravan. She grabs a straw basket. She grabs a red apple and puts it in. She grabs a small orange lantern with a yellow sun on it and puts it in. She grabs a green, circular water canteen and puts it in. She goes outside. She gives the basket to Arianna and kisses her forehead.

Arianna wanders the tree. She arrives at the end of a hall with three exits. Little does she know, above the exits, reads ‘Sugracha’, ‘Thromas’, and ‘Gothel’. She goes through the exit that reads ‘Gothel’.

She steps into a dark blue room with stacks of dirty parchment paper and mirrors with golden frames. Whoever this room belonged to must have been intelligent and hard-working. She thinks. She sees a portrait of GotheI on the wall. Never mind. 

“Guess we all are born with parts to play”

She sings as she sits. 

“Some of us are stars, and some are just in the way”

She looks in a mirror. 

“I know I was meant for glory

But that's never what my story brings”

She sees ghosts of GotheI striking her in the heart with a black rock in the village in Corona while she was pregnant. 

“And yet I keep on waiting”

She sees a ghost of her leaning on the window as she lies on a nook looking tired while she was pregnant. 

“When you have the passion and the drive

You expect your moment center stage to arrive

I show up with heart a blazing

Ready to achieve amazing things”

She sees a ghost of her holding a sword out in front of her. 

“But I'm left waiting in the wings”

She sees ghosts of GotheI striking her sword to her back. The ghost of her collapses. 

“I hear my cue”

She sees ghosts of her holding a baby girl with long hair and wearing a dress, Rapunzel. 

“And yet I'm kept there, waiting”

She sees ghosts of GotheI holding baby Rapunzel standing on the palace window, looking behind with a death glare. 

“Know what to do”

She sees a ghost of a girl wearing a dress with a light top and a dark skirt riding a horse. 

“And still I stand there, waiting”

She sees a ghost of GotheI jumping out in front of the ghost of younger her on the horse. 

“It's always someone else who sings”

She sees a ghost of GotheI sitting in an armchair as she brushes the long hair of a girl wearing a gown, while she sits on the ground in front of her. 

“While I'm left waiting in the wings”

She sees a ghost of her releasing a lantern. 

“And so I keep on keeping on”

She sees a ghost of her climbing a mountain. 

“My chances come”

She sees ghosts of her holding baby Rapunzel. 

“... and then I blink and they're gone”

She sees ghosts of GotheI holding baby Rapunzel standing on the palace window, looking behind with a death glare. 

“Always overlooked unfairly

While pretending that it barely stings”

She sees ghosts of a man with hair, eyes, cheeks, a shaved beard, a tee-shirt, fur vest, and gloves, shorts, and boots, Quirin holding a scroll in front of Frederic . 

“But it stings, yes it stings”

She sees a ghost of her shaking in Frederic’s arms when she was pregnant. Tears stream down her ghost’s cheeks. 

“And I'll shed no tears”

She thrusts her arms out, looks up, and closes her eyes. Ghosts of lanterns surround her. 

“I'll only keep on waiting

If no one cheers”

She claps. 

“Well, I can keep on waiting”

She spins. 

“Who cares how loud

The silence rings”

She sings on a high note. 

“You'll find me waiting in the wings “

She sings quietly. The lanterns disappear.

Everyone is in the middle of the tree. Suddenly, Hector jumps out. He runs to them with a wooden spear with a glowing blue tip. The Decay Incantation Arianna remembers. 

“Rapunzel, use the Decay Incantation.” She announces. Rapunzel nods. 

“Wither and decay

End this destiny

Break these earthly chains

And set the spirit free

The spirit free”

Rapunzel sings. Hector faints. Arianna and Rapunzel faint and start vomiting. Eugene’s stomach starts bleeding and he faints. Arianna reaches over and touches Rapunzel. Her arm burns. An agony runs through her arm. She starts foiling and screaming in agony. She's going to hurt herself really badly. Lance thinks. "Cassie, get Rapunzel's hair on Eugene, Arianna, and herself. I'm going to hold down Arianna so she doesn't give herself a TBI." He announces. Cassandra picks up Rapunzel's hair and quickly puts it on Eugene, Arianna, and her. Lance holds down Arianna's head.

“Flower, gleam and glow

Let your powers shine

Make the clock reverse

Bring back what once was mine

Heal what has been hurt

Change the fates' design

Save what has been lost

Bring back what once was mine

What once was mine”

Cassandra sings. 

Rapunzel's hair glows. Lance lets go of Arianna. Rapunzel, Eugene, and her sit. 

"That was… interesting." Arianna announces. Everybody laughs. Rapunzel, Eugene, and her stand up. Let's make this the last time something like this happens. Eugene thinks. 

"Ladies, promise me this: this will be the last time someone tries to undo the magic that is keeping us all alive." He speaks. 

"Oh, okay," Arianna and Rapunzel giggle. The group exits.

Meanwhile, Zan Tiri sits on a branch near the top and watches the group exit. "Consider this my revenge for taking the lily, Sundrop." She starts as she narrows her eyes. "And, I'm only getting started.". She laughs maliciously. 

Chapter Text

Everyone is in the caravan. Arianna leans up against the window as she sits on a skinny magenta mattress, shivering with a pink blanket wrapped around her. She looks out the window at the rain in the forest. I don't want her to get sick from the cold. Rapunzel thinks. She picks up a pink mug of cocoa from a round, purple table. “Mom, can you drink this?” Rapunzel asks her. 

Arianna nods as she takes it. Rapunzel holds her close. The Great Tree was horrible! Kiera thinks. 

"The Great Tree was horrible!" She whines. 

"Kiera, be positive." Rapunzel reminds her.  

"I'm positive that the Great Tree was horrible!". Rapunzel sighs.

Rapunzel looks out the window. She sees a poster with a sketch of a muscular man with skin, hair, eyes, wearing a fur robe with spots, Hoot Hand. "Look! Hoot Hand's reunion concert!" She announces. Sounds fun! Hook Foot thinks.

The caravan arrives at a big, light blue wooden caravan with rainbow, stained glass windows. Everyone gets out. Oh no, we don't have money for tickets. Arianna worries. She starts hyperventilating. Something's wrong. Rapunzel thinks. She holds her.

"Dear, can you tell me what's wrong? Do you feel okay?" She questions.

“We don't have money for tickets.” Arianna vents. I bet Hook Hand will let us in. Hook Foot thinks. He puts his hand on her shoulder. 

“Don't worry, Ari, I bet Hook Hand will let us in.” He tells her. She smiles. 

They go into a dark red room. Piles of gold are in the room. Big pink and green jewels are scattered throughout the room. A golden, grand piano is in the middle of the  room. Woah, the group thinks. A muscular man with tan skin, brown hair, and eyes, wearing a white fur robe with spots, Hoot Hand sits at the piano.

“HEY, HAND!” The group shouts. Did they seriously just call me that? Hoot Hand thinks. 

“Call me that again and I will do a really bad descending glissando.” He threatens.

“Sorry!”.

“It's fine.”. He sees his younger brother. “Hook Foot! How have you been!?”.

“Good!” Hook Foot exclaims. Hoot Hand goes over to his younger brother. 

“Not as good as me.” He replies. 

Hook Hand goes behind an emerald puppet boot with golden lining. The top is shaped like a pirate’s hat. There are white drama masks at the top. A little red curtain with golden tassels is at the bottom. Inside, there is a green scene of a cottonwood forest with hills, darker bushes with purple flowers. There is light orange ground. 

Hook Hand pops up a puppet that looks like him on a popsicle stick. 

“I had a dream

My dream came true”

He pops up a piano puppet on a popsicle stick and makes the puppet that looks like him play it. 

“Yes, I got what I deserve

And so did you”

He makes the puppet that looks like him point at Hook Foot. 

“I'm rich and famous and completely respected and I’m livin' the dream!”

He pops up four puppets of gold piles; two on the left and two on the right. 

“My digs are snazzy and my agent's connected and I’m livin' the dream!”

He makes the puppet that looks like him dance. 

“I'm makin' millions playin' national tours”

He pops up four puppets of gold piles; two on the left and two on the right. 

“Decked in the latest from my head to my drawers”

He pops up a gold suit in front of the puppet that looks like him. 

“Guess you could say my life is better than yours

Brother, I'm livin' the dream!”

He makes the puppet that looks like him point at Hook Foot. 

“The ladies love me”

He pops up three puppets of girls with long, golden braids, palace skin, red lips wearing red, orange, and green sleeveless silk dresses. 

 “and the critics adore me,”

He pops up three puppets of three, bald European men with blue eyes, white mustaches, wearing black suits, and blue spects. 

 “yeah, I'm livin’ the dream!”

He bounces the puppet that looks like him. 

“I hit a pub, they roll the carpet out for me, ’cause I'm livin’ the dream!”

He pops up a red carpet puppet and a puppet of a brown, log building with a purple roof. It has a purple, wooden sign with a yellow duck painted on it along with the words ‘The Snuggly Duckling’. 

“My fans around me wavin' autograph books

They ooh and ahh about my stylish good looks”

He pops up a puppet of a crowd of black, brown, and tan hands and waves it. 

“While I endorse my line of signature hooks”

He extends his hand out towards a row of silver hooks with blue diamonds. 

Hook Foot goes to touch one. Hook Hand slaps his brother’s hand. “Don't touch, those are diamonds! For artistes only!” He exclaims. 

“Face it, I'm livin’ the dream!”

He turns back to the puppet boot. 

“Your dreams

Were lame, stupid

Poor dreams”

He bounces a puppet that looks like Hook Foot. 

“But hey, we don't all get to be a talent like me!”

He spins the puppet that looks like him. Seriously, the group thinks. They glare at him. Uh oh, he thinks. “Haha, everybody!” He laughs nervously. 

“This former lowlife is enjoying the high life and I'm livin' the dream!”

He bobs the puppet that looks like him up and the puppet that looks like Hook Foot down. 

“Livin' the dream!”

He pops up all the puppets. 

“Too bad that your life ain't as awesome as my life, you know what I mean”

He makes the puppet that looks like him point at Hook Foot. 

“He's livin' the dream!”

He pops up all the puppets. 

“Look what I got from simply payin' my dues”

He spins the puppet that looks like him. 

“The fame”

He pops up a puppet of a crowd of black, brown, and tan hands and waves it. 

 “the fortune,”

He pops up four puppets of gold piles; two on the left and two on the right. 

“the designer tattoos”

He shows off a tattoo of him playing a bright red piano on his left shoulder. 

“I bet you'd love to spend one day in my, uh,” 

He starts. What should I say? He wonders. “Shoes. Just say shoes.” Hook Foot tells him. 

“shoes!”

He sings.  

“Shame your career's out of steam”

He drops the puppet that looks like Hook Foot. 

“Me, though?

I'm livin' the dream!”

He spins the puppet that looks like him. 

What a jerk! The group thinks. They leave.

Everyone is in the caravan. “What a jerk!” Kiera exclaims. Hoot Foot needs to stand up to him. Rapunzel thinks. 

“I say that Hook Foot goes over there and stands up to him!” She announces.

“Yeah!” Hook Foot agrees.

Hook Hand and his piano are under a circular, white shelter in a green, grassy field. Hook Foot marches up to him. “Brother, I don't like how you treated…” He starts. Suddenly, a man with tan skin, brown eyes, blonde hair, mustache, and beard, wearing a red and yellow Renaissance-style suit, a purple, puffy hat with gold lining and rubies at the base, and a gold heart necklace, King Trevor walks up.

“Hook, tonight's performance better be perfect, or else you’re out of the gig!”. Hook Hand nods. Trevor walks away. 

“Oh, you’re working for that jerk. That's the problem.” Hook Foot announces. Hook Hand nods.  

“Could you please dance with me to improve my performance?”. He asked me to perform with him! Hook Foot thinks. He nods. “You will need a partner.”. Ari!

Everyone is in the caravan. Arianna is writing in her journal at the table. Hook Foot walks up to her. How did things go with Hook Hand? She wonders. “Hey, Hook Foot, how did it go with your brother?”.

“Awesome! He asked me to dance with him!”. Arianna squeaks. He giggles. “And I need a partner.” He continues as he holds his hand out. She takes it.

Everyone is in the courtyard. Arianna’s in a purple and white sparkly, sleeveless Renaissance-style dress. Trevor walks up. Oh curd, Arianna thinks. Her face sweats. Is she okay? Hook Foot worries. “Ari, is something wrong?” He asks her.

“Trevor’s my ex-boyfriend from when I was a princess.” She explains. What?! Hook Foot thinks. 

“He’s your ex-boyfriend?! You should’ve led with that!”.

“Guys,” Hook Hand addresses. They look at him. “Just dance. Everything will be fine.”. They nod.

Hook Hand plays his piano. Hook Foot and Arianna waltz. Hook Foot picks Arianna up and twirls her. Everyone besides Trevor claps. “THOSE ARE OUR FRIENDS!” Varian shouts. The rest of the group laughs. 

Trevor walks up to Arianna. “Your dancing was beautiful, darling.” He tells her as he strokes her hair. Rapunzel pulls out her black cast-iron frying pan.

“Do so much as think about touching her and you’re waking up the next morning dangling upside down by my hair.”. Cassandra walks up. 

“You’re waking up the next morning if you’re lucky.” Cassandra tells him. Uh oh, he thinks. He runs off. 

Hook Foot goes up to his brother. “I'm going to miss you.” He tells him. 

“I'm not going to miss you.” Hook Hand replies. And he’s still a jerk. Hook Foot thinks. He looks at him. “I mean, how am I going to miss you if you’re with me?”. Hook Foot hugs him.

Chapter Text

Rapunzel lies in a hammock made of her hair doodling in a brown, leather journal  with a strap on the side with paintings of pink birds with an orange feather pen with Pascal on her shoulder. “There’s something wrong with Mom. She isn’t acting like herself. She’s nervous and jumpy.” She tells him. She looks over at Arianna. She is riding Fidella. She looks down at her journal. She has drawn a picture of Arianna lying on a thin mattress looking skinny with her eyes closed with her head on a pillow and covered in blankets. Why did I draw that? She asks herself. 

Meanwhile, Eugene and Lance are driving the caravan. They see a row of black rocks. Eugene pulls the reins but they can't stop. The caravan goes through the black rocks. It splits in half. They scream. “NICE GOING LANCE!” Eugene yells.

“HEY, YOU WEAR DRIVING TOO!” Lance yells back.

“I'M TELLING RAPUNZEL, ARIANNA, AND CASSANDRA.”.

“NO, I'M TELLING RAPUNZEL, ARIANNA, AND CASSANDRA.”.

They run back to camp. “HE WRECKED THE CAMPER!” They yell at each other.  

“Calm down, boys, I’m sure we can fix it.” Cassandra reassures them.

“Yeah, I bet me and Mom can fix it.” Rapunzel adds.

Arianna and Rapunzel are walking on a wooden bridge over a green river. Arianna is eating a banana. “Mom? What are you thinking about?” Rapunzel questions. She swims with an Amazon River Dolphin in a green river. Arianna imagines. 

“Dolphins. Pink ones.” Arianna replies. She is so creative! Rapunzel thinks. 

“Oh!”. Arianna finishes her banana. She tosses it in the peel in the river. An Amazon River Dolphin jumps up and grabs the peel. Rapunzel gasps. “Mom! I thought you were just being super creative! I didn't know those actually exist! Don’t get me wrong, you’re still super creative!”.

“Yep. They're called Amazon River Dolphins.”.

Arianna and Rapunzel go over to the caravan. At least they just split it in half. Rapunzel thinks. “At least they split it in half and didn't completely destroy it.”. 

“Yeah,” Arianna agrees. She gets on her knees and begins crawling around. She grabs a wooden wand with a pink jewel in the middle. She bumps her head into a pinkish-red clay bookshelf. A throbbing pain shoots through her head. She groans and rubs it. Is she okay? Rapunzel worries.  

“Mom! Are you okay?”.

“Don't worry about me.”. Suddenly a flash of pink light comes from the wand.

Where am I? Rapunzel thinks. She looks around. "Where's Mother?" She asks. Crap! Arianna thinks. Rapunzel sees Arianna. She knocks her out with her frying pan 

Arianna wakes up in a light blue wooden chair tied up in a wooden chair by Rapunzel's hair. "Who are you, and how did you find me?" Rapunzel asks as she holds her frying pan to Arianna's chest. Here it goes. Arianna thinks. She breathes. 

"Rapunzel, I'm your birth mother. A very long time ago, a single drop of sunlight fell onto Earth and grew into a flower that could heal, the Sundrop. You're stepmother Gothel, attacked us when I was pregnant with you. And we got sick, so we were given the Sundrop. But, Gothel kidnapped you, and she manipulated you into staying with her so she could use your hair to stay young. But then, Eugene recused you and brought you back. And now we're on this big adventure to go to the Dark Kingdom, but our wagon got wrecked, and I was trying to fix it, but I used the wrong wand, and now your memories are gone." Arianna quickly explains. That makes so much sense. Rapunzel thinks. 

"But you didn't mean to. So that makes you not a bad person." Rapunzel tells her. 

"But, still, your memories are gone." Arianna replies. She breaks down. I'm going to go get the others. Rapunzel thinks.

Rapunzel turns around and runs. She sees the others. "Hi, are you my friends?" She asks. What is wrong? Eugene wonders. 

"Yes." He replies. 

"So, Mom was trying to fix the caravan with a wand, but she used the wrong wand, and my memory got erased. She's really upset and crying right now." Rapunzel replies. That makes so much sense. Eugene thinks. Let's see if there is a potion in here. Cassandra thinks as she picks up the Sapoiran spell book. She flips to a page with a long list of ingredients. 

"Ha ha! Here it is!" She announces. Everyone else looks at the book. "Simple potion to reverse the Wand of Obilvium.". Simple?! That's 55 ingredients! Eugene thinks.

"That's 55 ingredients!". 

"Relax. We've already got 54 out of the 55. We only need mint.". Yummy! Rapunzel thinks. 

"I love mints! Especially the soft kind that melts in your mouth!".

“No, not the candy. Mint is also an editable plant.”. 

“Oh, like the Sundrop!”.

“Yes and no. It’s editable like the Sundrop, but it doesn't heal.” 

“Oh. So how do I get the mint?”. Cassandra looks down at the grassy green clip. She sees a bush with smooth leaves. 

“Down there.”. She points at the bush.

“Great! Okay, would one of you get the mint?”. I don't want to be lowered down a cliff. Cassandra thinks. I don't want to be lowered down a cliff. Eugene thinks. They both nod negatively. Maybe Mom will. Rapunzel thinks. 

Rapunzel goes over to Arianna, who is still crying. She kneels beside her. She touches her back. Arianna looks at her. "Hey, it's okay." She cooes. 

"No, it's not! I wiped your memories!" Arianna protests. 

"And it was a mistake that we can fix.". We can? Arianna thinks. "Cassandra and Eugene found a potion that can restore my memory. We just need mint, which is down there.". She points down the cliff to a bush with tiny blue flowers with white middles. I should be the one to get those. Arianna thinks. 

"I should be the one to get those. Your memory got erased because of me. Besides, it's really dangerous, and I don't trust myself to spot you." Arianna announces. Okay, Rapunzel thinks. 

They stand. Rapunzel wraps her hair around Arianna's waist. She lowers Arianna. She grabs the mint. Rapunzel reels her up. She takes her hair off Arianna's waist.  

They run over. Arianna gives the mint to Cassandra. Rapunzel sees an oak tree with green leaves. That would be fun to swing on. She thinks. 

"Hey, Mom, do you want to swing on that tree? ". Yeah! Arianna thinks.

"Yeah!" She replies. 

They go over to the tree. Rapunzel throws her hair around it. Arianna grabs the other end. They both run around it. They pick up their feet. They swing around it. 

Meanwhile, Cassandra and Eugene are standing in front of the potion pot, which has a glowing green liquid in it. Cassandra throws the mint in. It's ready. She thinks. 

"Mom! Rapunzel! It's ready!" She announces. Arianna lands. Rapunzel lands. They run over. Cassandra puts the potion in a small potion vial with a round base and a skinny top. Cassandra gives it to Rapunzel. She drinks it. 

I'm the Lost Princess! Rapunzel remembers. "I'm the Lost Princess!" She announces. Arianna embraces her.

At night, Arianna and Rapunzel kneel on the grass facing each other. The sky is dark pink and purple. “Rapunzel, I’m so sorry about your memories.” Arianna tells her. Rapunzel touches Arianna’s face. 

“Hey, I know you didn't mean to, and it was an easy fix.” She replies. They hug. 

Chapter Text

It is raining. Everyone is in the caravan. Arianna is sketching in her journal. Eugene is looking in a small mirror with a wooden frame messing with his eyebrows. And he's looking in the mirror again. Cassandra thinks. "Pretty Boy, I see that you're looking at yourself again!" She tells him. 

"The smolder cannot work to the full effect without proper maintenance." He replies. Eww! She thinks.

"If the effect you're going for is to make me nauseous, I'd say it's working.". 

Arianna doodles in her journal with a peacock feather pen. She draws a picture of the heads of the group fighting. It's not right. She thinks. She groans and pushes her journal back. "Can't draw!" She explains. Rapunzel speedwalks over to her. She kneels and touches her shoulder. 

"Mom, you're a good drawer, you just have to keep trying." Rapunzel reminds her. Arianna nods. They hug. Varian pours a beaker of blue liquid and one of yellow liquid. The liquid turns green and explodes. Can he not? Arianna thinks. 

"Varian, blow another thing up, and I will hang you!" She threatens. Now I'm in trouble. Varian thinks. We're annoyed with each other. Rapunzel thinks. 

"Guys, we've been stuck with each other here so long that all of our little quirks are   on each other's nerves." She announces. Everybody nods. 

Thromas, a man with tan skin, brown eyes, and white hair wearing a black suit and pants with a pink shirt underneath cuts down an oak tree with green leaves with an ax. Matthew tugs on the darkness around him. Maximus and Fidella buck, jostling the caravan. I better check that out. Rapunzel thinks. She grabs a magenta shawl, throws it around her shoulders, and steps out. She sees the fallen tree. She steps in. “Bad news: we're stuck.” She announces unenthusiastically.  The others groan. 

Arianna looks out the window. She sees a pink and purple mansion with a design inspired by shells.  “Look! A warm, dry mansion!” She announces as she points to the mansion. Rapunzel rushes to the window. She sees the mansion. That's a great idea! She thinks. 

“That's a great idea, Mom! Told ya you have good ideas!” Rapunzel announces. She rubs her shoulder. Arianna giggles. Rapunzel lifts Natalia. 

They go inside. They see Thromas. “Hi, my name is Rapunzel and these are all my friends.” Rapunzel introduces them. I hate you guys already. Thromas thinks. “Rapunzel, I am Mathews.” He introduces himself. 

“Can we stay here?”.

“Yes, of course!”. He’s so nice! Arianna thinks. 

“That’s so nice!” She exclaims. Thromas deviously smiles.

The gang walks into a pink room with a darker floor. There is a black table with a black basket with big blue marbles. Wonder if I can juggle. V arian thinks. 

He picks up three of the marbles and juggles. He's going to get us kicked out! Arianna thinks. "Varian, put those down!" She orders. He puts them back. Kiera picks up the marbles and juggles. Arianna just told me to put those down! Varian thinks. 

"Arianna just told me to put those down!" He protests. 

"She said: 'Varian, put those down!', not 'Kiera, put those down!'" She replies. Arianna just sighs.

The group arrives at an oval-shaped mirror with a black lining. A red armory with golden hinges is by the mirror. Mirror! Eugene thinks. He looks in. Okay... Cassandra thinks. "We're going to let you adore yourself and move on." She tells him. The others walk away. A black and gray version of him with glowing green eyes comes out and pulls him in. 

This is a house of shells, so I wonder if it has an aquarium. Natalia thinks. She beckons Arianna. I'll follow her. Arianna thinks. 

They go down a dark, pink tunnel. They arrive in an aquarium of dolphins, sharks, hammerheads, whale sharks, whales, narwhals, manatees, otters, yellow rays, seals, and colorful fish. They gasp.

Arianna and Rapunzel are in a pink bedroom with two pink canopy beds and a pink vanity in between them.   Arianna lays on her stomach, propping herself up with her forearms and dangling her legs in the air. What if I brought us to the wrong place? A giant shell house out in the middle of nowhere is so strange. She worries. 

“Punzie, I’m starting to think that I brought us to the wrong place. A giant shell house out in the middle of nowhere just seems so strange.” She explains. Lorbs are strange. Rapunzel thinks. 

She sits on her mother's bed. “So are talking leaves.” She replies. They hug and laugh.

Meanwhile, Varian walks by the mirror. I wonder what this is made of. He wonders. He grabs both sides of the mirror. A black and gray version of him with glowing green eyes comes out and pulls him in. 

Eugene and Varian are in a gray version of the mansion. The other versions of us are probably evil. Varian thinks. “So… I take it that the other versions of us are evil.” He says.

“Yes, most likely.” He replies.

Cassandra walks by the mirror. A black and gray version of her glowing green eyes comes out and pulls her in. 

A little while later, Lance walks by the mirror. A black and gray version of him with glowing green eyes comes out and pulls him in. 

A little while later, Kiera walks by the mirror. A black and gray version of her glowing  green eyes comes out and pulls her in.

Rapunzel, Arianna, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, Varian, and the mirror people are at a teal table with a black lining and a marble center. Ham, peas, cheese casserole, fish, rice, bread, and cheesecake with white icing are on the table. Mirror Cassandra throws peas. Mirror Lance throws fish. Mirror Kiera throws rice. Rapunzel, Arianna, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, Varian, and Mirror Eugene duck under the table. What is going on? They wonder. “What is going on?” Rapunzel wonders. 

“I don't know, let's go investigate.” Mirror Eugene replies. Everybody nods. 

Rapunzel, Arianna, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Mirror Eugene are in the armory. A wooden harp and a dark green sheet hung on a nob are in the armory. Varian walks by the mirror. I wonder what this is made of. He wonders. He grabs both sides of the mirror. A black and gray version of him with glowing green eyes comes out and pulls him in. Rapunzel, Arianna, Natalia, Sara, and Catalina look at each other and gasp. Mirror Eugene deviously smiles.

They are back in the dining hall. We need to make sure that we're not doubles. Rapunzel thinks. “We need to make sure that we're not doubles.” She announces. "Mom, what are all the names of the horses in the Coronian Royal Stables?" Rapunzel asks her.

Maximus, Fidella, Abel, Poly, and Mabel. Arianna thinks. 

"Maximus, Fidella, Abel, Poly, and Mabel." She replies. 

"Nice job. Natalia, are killer whales, whales?". No, they're dolphins. Natalia thinks. She shakes her head 'no'. She moves her finger in a swooping motion. 

"That's right! They're dolphins. Sara, what's your favorite color?".

"All are equally amazing!" Sara replies. 

"Yeah, definitely you!". 

"Catalina, what is your favorite animal?". 

"All of them!". 

"Yep, you!". 

Rapunzel holds up two identical wanted posters of Eugene. 

"Eugene, which is the accurate representation of the real Flynn Rider?". Mirror Eugene holds his chin. 

"Trick question! No artist can accurately represent the real Flynn Rider.". 

"None of us are doubles!" Rapunzel announces. Everybody laughs.

The doubles run at them. The armor! Rapunzel remembers. "Go to the armor." She announces. They run to the armor. They go into the armor. Pascal flies off Rapunzel's shoulder. 

"Wait, where's the frog?" Mirror Eugene questions. Everyone looks at him. What did he say? They think. 

"Eugene, did you just call Pascal a frog?" Rapunzel questions. 

"No…" He replies. He's a double! They think. 

"You're a double!" She announces. 

"But, you got to admit: I had this Eugene guy down pretty well.". They run out. 

"Now we have to get the doubles in the mirror!" Rapunzel announces. They go over to the mirror. She grabs it. She puts it on the ground. She puts the rug over it. The doubles run over it. Rapunzel, Arianna, Natalia, Sara, and Catalina grab the rug. The doubles fall. 

Eugene grabs his double's feet. He pulls him down and jumps out. Varian grabs his double's feet. He pulls him down and jumps out. Cassandra grabs her double's feet. She pulls her down and jumps out. Lance grabs his double's feet. He pulls him down and jumps out. Kiera grabs her double's feet. She pulls her down and jumps out. Everybody hugs.

Everybody sleeps on colorful mattresses in front of a magenta fireplace. Arianna doodles in her journal with a peacock feather pen. She draws a picture of the mirror. "Mom, is the drawing going better?" Rapunzel asks. Arianna smiles and nods.

Chapter Text

The next morning, everyone wakes. Arianna sits, yawns, stretches, brings her knees to her chest, and grabs them. “Good morning, mom.” Rapunzel tells her.

“Good morning, sweetheart.” She replies. They smile at each other.

“Now, say we find a way out of here?” Cassandra questions. Everybody nods.

I’m going to go to the aquarium. Natalia thinks. She begins crawling up the stairs. Where is she going?  Eugene wonders. He grabs her and brings her back. He’s mean. She thinks. She points at him and then brings her hands to her mouth and points down.

“Look, Nat; I know you have a mind of your own. But, your dad would kill me if something happened to you and I can't be killed by my own father-in-law.” He explains. Rapunzel, Arianna, and Cassandra cover their mouths and laugh. 

They go upstairs. Arianna opens a teal seashell door. A strong, cold wind blows, picking her up. She screams. Oh no, Rapunzel thinks. She grabs her and closes the door. She sets her down. 

"That's not a way out." Arianna says. 

"Let's keep looking." Rapunzel suggests. Everybody nods. 

They go further down the hall. They see another seashell door. Eugene opens it to an aquamarine room with a purple floor with piles of; pink teddy bears, red and green tops, stuffed giraffes, blue stuffed elephants, blue stuffed dolphins, pink stuffed cats, red balls, wooden blocks with red letters, wooden swords, baby dolls with brown hair, tan skin, and blue eyes wrapped in pink blankets, easels with colorful paints, and giant nutcrackers. The group gasps. 

Lance runs to the blocks. Varian runs to the nutcrackers. Natalia runs to the stuffed dolphins. Sara runs to the easels. Catalina runs to the stuffed cats. Kiera runs to the swords. We need to keep moving. Cassandra thinks. "Com'on guys, we need to keep mov…" She begins. She sees a top. 

She played with a pink and purple top on a hard, wooden floor. She remembers. 

"Woah! I used to have one of these before I got adopted!" She announces. She rushes over and kneels next to it. She spins it. A green light comes from it. 

Cassandra, Sara, and Lance turn into toddlers, and Natalia, Catalina, Kiera, and Varian into babies. Rapunzel, Eugene, and Arianna just stare at them. They run to the dining room. 

Rapunzel, Eugene, and Arianna run to the dining room. 

Toddler Cassandra throws peas. Toddler Lance throws fish. Toddler Sara throws cheesecake. 

"Guys, what happened?" Rapunzel asked them.

"Whatie what?" Toddler Cassandra questions. 

"How did you turn into children?". She starts at them. 

"Why do you have so much hair? Is it because you're really old?!" Toddler Lance questions. 

What?! Rapunzel thinks. 

"Wel, before I was born…" She starts. 

"Why is the sky blue?". Oh boy…

Toddler Cassandra jumps on the table. "BOOM!" She cries. 

"GET DOWN, LITTLE LADY!" Eugene scolds. 

Meanwhile, Baby Natalia cries. Arianna picks her up. "What's the matter, baby?" She questions. 

The kids run back to the toy room. Rapunzel and Eugene follow them. Arianna rocks Baby Natalia who keeps crying. Thromas approaches them. "Hi Mathews," Arianna greets him. 

"Ahh, I see you're struggling with the baby. I know children haven't always been your strong suit." He tells her. What is he talking about? She wonders. 

"'Children aren't my strong suit'? What are you talking about, Mr. Mathews?" She asks him. 

"I heard your own daughter was taken from you, right in your face.". Gothel pops into her head. 

"That wasn't my fault Mr. Mathews! Gothel kidnapped her! I raised two children and they turned out just fine!". 

"Touché. Touché. But, you can't rewrite the past, Miss Arianna.". He walks away. 

She cries. Arianna imagines. "What does Mathews know about children? I'm a great mom!" She tells herself. She sits down against the aquarium. She clears her throat.

"Power of the sun

Gift me with your light 

Shine into the dark

Restore our fading sight

Rise into the dawn

Blazing star so bright

Burn away the strife

Let my hope ignite

Let hope ignite”

She quietly sings. Balls of light form from her fingertips. Natalia falls asleep. Baby Rapunzel falls asleep in her arms. Arianna smiles.

"Hey, sweetheart, we need you to give us that top." Rapunzel cooes as she kneels in front of Toddler Cassandra. She needs to be more assertive. Eugene thinks. 

"Give us the top right this instant!" Eugene demands. Toddler Cassandra runs away. 

That was way too harsh. Rapunzel thinks. 

"Eugene, you need to be gentler." She tells him. 

"As if sweet-talking it out of them is going to work." He replies. 

Just then, Arianna comes in with Baby Natalia. "How's it going, guys?" Arianna questions. 

"He's being too harsh." Rapunzel tells her as she points at Eugene. 

"She's being too gentle." Eugene tells her as he points at Rapunzel. Rapunzel has her hands on her hips as she talks to Toddler Cassandra. Arianna imagines. 

"Guys, you need to be assertive and gentle. It's like Goldielocks. Not too hard and not too soft." She explains as she folds her hands. Rapunzel and Eugene nod. 

Rapunzel, Eugene, and Arianna go to a dark room with giant brown dogs in metal cages. 

Rapunzel walks out with Toddler Cassandra and baby Kiera, Eugene walks out with Toddler Lance and baby Varian, and Arianna walks out with Toddler Sara and baby Catalina. Arianna imagines. 

"Rapunzel, you can go get Cassandra and Kiera. Eugene, you can go get Lance and Varian. And I will get Sara and Catalina." Arianna announces. Good plan. Rapunzel thinks. Good plan. Eugene thinks. They nod. 

Arianna walks up to Toddler Sara, who is holding baby Catalina. "Sara, sweetie, I need you to go out the door right now, please," Arianna tells her. 

"Yes, ma'am," Toddler Sara replies. They head out. 

Rapunzel walks up to Toddler Cassandra, who is holding baby Kiera. "Cassandra, let's go out the door!" She cooes. 

"I don't take orders from you." Toddler Cassandra tells her. Time to be assertive. Rapunzel thinks. 

"Cassandra, I need you to get your little tushie out the door right now, please." Rapunzel orders. 

"Yes, ma'am," Toddler Cassandra replies. They head out. 

Eugene walks up to Toddler Lance, who is holding baby Varian. "Lance, I need you to get your little tushie out the door right now!" Eugene orders. Toddler Lance starts crying. I need to be more gentle. Eugene thinks. "Lance, let's go out the door!" He cooes. 

"Yes, Eugene." Toddler Lance replies. They head out. 

Everybody's at the door. Big white dogs with glowing green eyes run up to them. Everybody huddles.  Baby Natalia throws the top. 

A green light comes from it. Cassandra, Sara, Lance, Natalia, Catalina, Kiera, and Varian turn back. The dogs turn into puppies with brown eyes. “We’re back!” Cassandra announces as she throws her hands up. Lance taps her shoulder. 

“Tag you’re it!” He cries. They begin running. They shouldn't run in the house. Rapunzel thinks. 

“Hey! No running in the house.” She cries. Eugene and her wink at each other.

 I want to keep the puppies. Catalina thinks. “Can we keep the puppies?” She asks Arianna. 

“Yes,” Arianna replies.

Meanwhile, Thromas is standing behind a light blue shell door. “The top failed. The mirror failed. master, I will keep both Sundrop girls in this house forever.” He promises Zan Tiri. 

Chapter Text

Cassandra is on an island covered in snow. Do I even want to know what happened? She thinks. She runs into herself wearing a light blue dress with white fur lining. "What happened? Where are Rapunzel and Mom?" She asks herself. The princess gasps. 

"You seriously don't remember?" The princess asks herself. She shakes her head negatively. "Arianna and her daughter died 20 years ago.". "They didn't take the Sundrop?! Why?!". 

Just then, Frederic, who wears a dark blue coat, approaches. 

"Hi, Cassandra, how's it going?" He asks her. 

"Good, just going to visit Mom and the baby." She cheerfully replies. 

"You go do that. And if you ever need anything, let me know.". He kisses her forehead and walks on. 

Cassandra and the princess walk forward.  

"Why didn't you take the Sundrop?" Cassandra asks her. 

"There was a black rock curse, and we decided that it wouldn't have been worth it for only two people. And then after they died, Zan Tiri took over and sent the land into eternal winter and thousands of people passed away since.". Cassandra snarls at the princess. "I know, wasn't a good idea.". 

"We have to find a rift in time and go back to that night they died, get the flower, save them, and set everything right.". 

A rip in the dimension of a dark cliff with the Sundrop appears. They jump through. 

Meanwhile, in The House of Yesterday's Tomorrow, everyone else walks around looking for Cassandra. Where could've she gone? Rapunzel worries. 

"Where could've she gone?". 

"Blondie, this house is huge. She could be anywhere!" Eugene replies. They see a green light come from the light blue shell door. They rush over. Eugene opens it.

Cassandra is tied to a stone table with glowing green vines. Oh no! Rapunzel thinks. "Cassandra!" She cries. She begins to run towards her. No, you don't! Eugene thinks. He grabs her collar. She hugs Eugene and cries. A glowing green ghost of Thromas is over Cassandra. 

"MATTHEWS! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO CASSANDRA?!" Rapunzel screams. 

"Mathews? My name is Thromas the Eternal! I am a disciple of Zan Tiri." He announces. Oh no, the group thinks.

Cassandra and the princess arrive at the Sundrop. Gothel appears. Cassandra pulls her sword out. Gothel hits it and turns into Thromas. A dimension that is a pink swirl appears with Matthew in it and is attached to him with a line of pink, glowing gas. Cassandra cuts it and light surrounds Thromas. He turns back to Matthew. Light surrounds Matthew and Cassandra.

Suddenly, a ball of light surrounds Thromas and lifts him. Matthew and Cassandra appear and are circled by light as they are set down. Rapunzel hugs her. Sara hugs Matthew. Suddenly, the house starts shaking. Everybody except Arianna runs out. The house collapses, except for a magenta door surrounded by some wall. 

Where's Mom? Rapunzel thinks. "Mom?" She calls. The door shakes. A beast's in there! Eugene thinks. 

"Everybody watch out; there's no telling what kind of rabid beast's gonna come out of there." He announces. Arianna, who wears a golden dress with white columns with Sundrops at the top of the columns, a Sundrop flower crown, lei, and flower bracelet opens the door. Uh-oh... He thinks. "Mom!' Rapunzel cries as she hugs her. She notices tears streaming down her face. Is she okay? Rapunzel worries. "Mom? Are you okay?". She dries the tears with her thumb. 

"I'm fine, Rapunzel." Arianna replies. They walk forward.

Chapter Text

Eugene is looking at the scroll on the ground outside the caravan. We're missing a piece. He realizes. Rapunzel comes. When is Eugene's birthday? She wonders. 

"Hey, Eugene, when is your birthday?" She asks him. I don't have one. He thinks. 

"I don't have one." He replies. Then, let's make one! Rapunzel thinks. 

"Then, let's make one!". It doesn't work like that. He thinks. 

"Blondie, it doesn't work like that.". Everyone has a birthday. She thinks. 

"I know, Eugene, but everyone has a birthday!". 

"Okay, fine. Today's my birthday!". She giggles. 

Just then, Madame Canardist's booth shows up. Rapunzel runs up. Eugene follows. "You have to go through the maze. Vigor will guide you." She tells them. They nod.

Rapunzel, Eugene, and Vigor arrive at a cream, stone maze. "I'm Lord Demanitus," Vigor announces. What? Rapunzel thinks. What? Eugene thinks. They just look at him. She blinks. 

"Lord Demanitus as in the ancient sorcerer?" She questions. He nods. 

"As in Matthew and Sara's dad?" Eugene questions. He nods. 

"And there is another triplet.". Who? She thinks. 

“Who?” She questions. 

“Gabriella. She is Albini, like her mother.”. Who did she turn into? Eugene wonders. 

“Did you see who she turned into?”.

“Yes and unfortunately, you already defeated her.”. Gothel, no! She thinks. Gothel, no! Eugene thinks. 

“Gothel!” She exclaims. 

"Yes," Lord Demanitus confirms. 

"So, you can help us?". He nods.

They are at a sliding door with a hole pocket next to it. There is a wooden, purple sign that reads: remove a piece and I increase. Oh, you just take a coin out of the hole. R apunzel thinks. She reaches in. What if there are snakes in there?! Eugene worries. 

"Rapunzel! Wait!" He cries. She takes a coin out of the hole. The door opens. Demanitus smiles at Eugene. They walk through. 

They are at a sliding door with a sun design next to it. I just need to hit the middle of the sun with something. Rapunzel thinks. She looks around. She sees Demanitus eating a banana. That'll work! She thinks. She takes the banana and shoots the middle of the sun by squeezing the peel. Demanitus and her walk-through. I don't trust him. Eugene thinks. He notices a square hole in front of his feet. 

Eugene gets down and crawls through a dark tunnel, which has cobwebs in it. Yikes! He thinks. He crawls back up. Rapunzel giggles and Demanitus rolls his eyes at him. He rolls his eyes and gets up. 

They arrive at a green crystal bridge with a glass case with a golden lock with the other scroll piece at the end over green acid. That is the final scroll piece! Rapunzel thinks. "The fourth piece of the scroll! We did it!" She exclaims. If I toss Eugene the key, then he will catch it. Demanitus thinks. 

"Here," He calls. He tosses Eugene the key. He misses and it falls into the acid. "You were supposed to catch it!". 

"You didn't warn me!" Eugene protests. Eugene could pick the lock! Rapunzel thinks. 

"Eugene, you can pick the lock." Rapunzel reminds him. Okay, Eugene thinks. She tosses Eugene her light blue beret. 

They cross the bridge. Eugene picks the lock. Rapunzel grabs the scroll piece with a purple stick figure with a pink and blue background. An automaton, stone dog with glowing green eyes, runs at them. They run into a dark, wooden cavern. 

"Eugene, I'm going to need to have faith." Demanitus tells him. In what?! He thinks. 

"In what?!". 

"Find the faith you already have. Look deep down inside you, boy.". I have faith in us. Eugene thinks. 

"I always had faith in Rapunzel, faith in us.". Rapunzel’s hair glows. The dog flies back. Eugene hugs Rapunzel. I’m going to give Eugene my locket as thanks.

“Eugene, I want to give you my locket as thanks.” He announces. He grabs the ruby in his turbine and gives it to him. Sweet! Eugene thinks. 

The group goes back to the caravan. “Sara! Matthew!” Demanitus cries. Papa! Sara thinks. Dada! Matthew thinks. They run and hug him.

That night, everyone is sitting on logs around the fire. Demanitus is dancing. Eugene opens the locket. It has a tiny piece of paper. Eugene takes it out. Rapunzel's journey will end in the destruction of someone she loves. He scans the group. His eyes fall on Arianna who grabs the edges of her hair and retracts her head in her hair. Oh no, he thinks.

Chapter Text

The caravan rushes down a grassy, green hill. Everyone screams in delight. It stops. Everyone gets out. Ravens swarm them. Ugg! Natalia thinks. She cries. I can stop them with my hair! Rapunzel thinks. She lassos her hair around a branch. The ravens fly into it. Rapunzel releases them. A tower made of black rocks is down a cliff. The Dark Kingdom Rapunzel thinks.

"The Dark Kingdom." She announces. 

"Let's go get your destiny." Arianna, who has Demanitus on her shoulder, tells her. She grabs the Moonstone. She imagines. Is she okay? Demanitus worries. He waves his hand in front of her face. She snaps back into focus. Rapunzel, Eugene, and Arianna grab hands.

“Now, now more than ever

We must stick together

United”

Arianna sings as she squeezes Rapunzel’s hand.  

“Now

It's now or never

So let's face the future

Clear-sight”

Eugene sings as he squeezes Rapunzel’s hand.  

“Somehow we've managed to make it this far

It's been one heck of a ride”

Rapunzel sings as she squeezes their hands. 

“There's nothing I couldn't do

Not with you by my side”

They sing as they jump down.  

“Maybe tomorrow I'll find, to my sorrow

My story has come to an ending”

Arianna sings as she runs through a field of giant, yellow lilies. 

“Maybe we're fated to be separated

Who knows where our paths might be bending”

Eugene sings as they enter a teal cave. 

“How I wish we could stay here forever this way

But perhaps there's no point in pretending”

Rapunzel sings as she clasps her hands and brings them to her shoulder. 

“If we're destined to head in our own different ways”

Arianna sings as she squeezes Rapunzel’s hand.  

“Let's make the most of these sweet final days”

Rapunzel sings as she squeezes her hand.  

“Why not go out in a glorious blaze?”

They sing as they jump down a waterfall. 

“'Cause now

Now more than ever

We're still here together

United”

They swim over a giant black salamander with green spots. 

Arianna swims down and pets it. 

“Now

It's now or never”

They sing as they swim ashore. 

“So let's stand as one

Undivided”

They sing as they climb a marble statue of a warrior with an amputated arm. 

“When we look at this back at this moment we had

Betcha we tremble with pride

There's nothing I couldn't do”

They sing as they jump off. 

“Not with you by my side

What in the world would I do”

They sing as they land in a field of red poppies. 

“Without you”

Arianna sings as she gets up.  

“Without you”

Eugene sings as he gets up.   

“Without you”

Rapunzel sings as she gets up.   

“By my side”

They sing. 

The caravan rolls down the hill and smashes. Oh no! Matthew thinks. "Oh no! All my stuff!" He cries. 

"Don't worry, boy we'll go shopping first thing when we get back to Corona." His father tells him. How will we get across? Eugene thinks. 

"How are we going to get across?" He questions. Arianna sees a teal wooden gondola with pink and blue stained glass. She glides across on a purple hang glider. She imagines. 

"I can hang glide across.". And that sounds like how she gets destroyed. Eugene thinks.

"Absolutely not, young lady!" He exclaims.  

She hang glides in the sky. She remembers. 

"Eugene, I have been hang gliding since I was seven. I will be fine.". She can do it. Rapunzel thinks. 

"Eugene, let her do it." She tells him. He shows her the prophecy. Oh my gosh! S he thinks as she clasps her hand over her mouth. Cassandra jumps off the cliff into the abyss. Arianna imagines. 

“Face it, Eugene, I am the only one of us who can get across there safely.”. She has  a point. He thinks. 

“Okay, but be very safe.”. She nods. 

Arianna goes down the hill and picks up her hang glider from the pile of rubble. She climbs back up the hill and jumps off the cliff. She hang glides in the direction of the gondola. The wind bumps her and she sways to the slide. Oh no! Eugene thinks.

Oh no!  Rapunzel thinks.   She hang glides to the gondola. Eugene and Rapunzrl sigh of relief. She climbs down inside. She closes the door. There is a teal wooden leveler in the center. She pumps it over to the other side. She opens the door. “Here, I’ll get the door for you, too.” She explains. Rapunzel hugs her. Everybody goes in.

Cassandra and 

Lance pump the leveler. Arianna hang glides. V arian thinks. “Arianna, you are so brave!” He tells her. 

“Thanks, I believe everyone has a destiny.” She replies. Suddenly, a muscular man wearing a black bear hide with a big ax with a little bear paw, Edmund marking jumps onto the roof of the gondola. He cuts the ax into the roof. The gondola shakes. What's happening?! 

Lance worries. 

“What's going on?!”. I’ll check it out. Eugene thinks. 

“I’ll check it out.”. He opens the door and climbs onto the roof of the gondola. He sees Edmund. “It looks like we have a new friend.”. The man cuts the ax into the roof again. They need to get out. “Everybody get out!” He announces. Eugene falls off. Arianna imagines.

“But, Eugene…” She starts. 

“Mom!” Rapunzel cries. She picks her up, lassoes her hair around the wire, and swings across to the cliff. Everyone else crawls across on the wire. Arianna falls to her knees.

We need to keep searching for a way in. Rapunzel thinks. She touches Arianna’s shoulder. “Mom, I know you’re sad about Eugene; I arn too; but, we need to keep searching for a way in.” She tells her. Arianna nods. She gets up. They move on.

The gondola falls to the bottom of the cliff. Edmund and Eugene fall off. Eugene’s side hurts. Ow! He thinks. Edmund holds his ax above him. Just kill me. Eugene thinks.

“What are you waiting for? Just get it over with.”. Edmund takes off his disguise. 

“I am your father.” He announces. What?! Eugene thinks. He looks at Edmund. He does kind of look at me. "I should've known. The cold dark heart, the soulless eyes that DRIVE ONE TO ATTACK TOTAL STRANGERS!" Eugene exclaims. Give him the glow. Edmund thinks. He turns his head sideways and raises one side of his face. Okay… Eugene thinks. "I call this the glow." He announces. "Not working? Okay.". What's this place? 

"What's this place?"

"The Dark Kingdom. Come boy,". He goes downstairs. 

A stained glass mural of the moon dripping down to make a palace out of the black rocks is on the wall. "Once upon a time, a single drop of moonlight fell from the heavens. This small drop of moonlight has the power to destroy the world, so it must be kept hidden from the world. According to the legend, whoever combines the Sundrop and Moonstone is screwed, beyond screwed. Don't let the same fate befall the love of your life.". A woman with dark brown wavey hair and eyes, tan skin, wearing a purple crystal necklace made from brown string, and a purple dress with a black lining laid on the floor. Edmund thinks. Arianna plans on combining the Sundrop and Moonstone, so Rapunzel doesn't! Eugene realizes. 

"Arianna! She's planning on combining the Sundrop and Moonstone, so Rapunzel doesn't! We have to stop her!". 

"Then let's stop her before she gets herself killed!"

Pascal is climbing on a dull purple wooden shaft in a dark tower. Suddenly, a raven, Hamual, flies into the wall. What in Corona? Pascal thinks. Hamual flies at him. Pascal blends into a stained glass window of Edmund holding up the Moonstone in front of Adira, Quirin, and Hector. Hamual flies into the window, lands on a gray pipe, and rolls through the wall. Pascal shrugs and brushes his hand together.

Everybody is at the teal double doors. Cassandra and Lance wheel a purple and brown wooden wheel attached to chains. They open. Rapunzel sees Eugene. "Eugene!" She exclaims. "I'm sorry, Rapunzel, but I can't let you in." He explains. Edmund cuts the chain with a black sword. The door crashes. 

How could he do this? She wonders. He must think he's protecting her. Lance thinks. "Rapunzel, I have known Eugene my entire life, and I have never, and I mean never seen him love anyone as much as he loves you and whatever he thinks he's doing, he must be doing it for you." He explains. She nods. 

An earthquake strikes. The ground opens up to reveal a lava sewer filled with black rocks. Everyone smiles. They jump down to black rocks. They jump to and from the rocks.

They arrive in a dark room with aqua statues of men and women wearing armor with a bear paw symbol on their chests. Eugene is standing in the middle of the room. Eugene! Rapunzel thinks. She hugs him. I better apologize for that. Eugene thinks. "Rapunzel, I'm sorry about that." He tells him. 

"Shh, I know you were just protecting me." She replies.

Suddenly, a ghost of a man with long hair and a beard wearing a crown, shoulder pads, gloves, a robe, a sash with a bear paw symbol on it with a dark lining, and a belt with a square buckle comes out of a statue. A ghost of a short man with dark hair and a short beard, a crown, fur cloak,  a robe, a sash with a bear paw symbol on it with a dark lining, and a belt with a square buckle holding an ax comes out of a statue. A ghost of a bald man wearing a crown, fur cloak, a robe, a sash with a bear paw symbol on it with a dark lining, and a belt comes out of a statue. The ghosts come to the group. 

"Lance, we know everybody has a destiny. We don't know what that fate is, but we do know that we aren't going to meet it today." He tells himself. I can destroy the ghosts by destroying the statues! He realizes. 

"Guys! Destroy the statues!" He announces. 

He steals the ax from the ghost of a short man with dark hair and a short beard, a crown, a fur cloak,  a robe, a sash with a bear paw symbol on it with a dark lining, and a belt with a square buckle. He destroys his statue. The ghost disappears. He's a genius! Eugene thinks. 

"Lance, you're a genius; and that's the first and last time I'm saying that!". Rapunzel grabs the ax and destroys the statue of a man with long hair and a beard wearing a crown, shoulder pads, gloves, a robe, a sash with a bear paw symbol on it with a dark lining, and a belt with a square buckle. The ghost disappears. Arianna grabs the ax and destroys the statue of a man wearing a crown, fur cloak, a robe, a sash with a bear paw symbol on it with a dark lining, and a belt comes out of a statue. 

They open the blue set of double doors with a dark exterior. The door opens. They see the Moonstone. There it is. Rapunzel thinks. She walks towards it as a blue bridge of rock forms under her. Arianna runs around and starts running to the Moonstone. Both of the young women reach it. Rapunzel sees Arianna. Does she want to be the one who combines the Sundrop and Moonstone? Rapunzel thinks. 

"Mom? Do you want to be the one who combines the Sundrop and Moonstone?" Rapunzel askes. Arianna shakes her head positively. Just then, Eugene comes in. No! He thinks. 

"Rapunzel! Arianna! No!" He cries. 

Arianna grabs the Moonstone and puts it in her chest. She is raised. A flash of blue and yellow light comes up. Her hair turns glowing yellow and blue. Every other Sundrop in her Sundrop flower crown and lei turns glowing blue. The white columns in her dress turn glowing blue. Her eyes turn glowing yellow and blue. She is set down. An image of a red exit flashes in her head. 

"I'm sorry." She squeaks out.
