Chapter Text

Zaki did not know if he was going crazy but since a few weeks ago he began to feel a threatening look every time he got too close to Amagi, although at first he did not give importance to the sensation, he began to feel a little curious.

He tried on several occasions to find out where the look was coming from but whenever he tried he couldn't find anyone looking in his direction so he began to assume that he was really crazy or that the person was directing his gaze too fast towards another place.

There was only one occasion when he managed to see someone but he just thought it was a strange coincidence that the person was Takara a boy from the popular gang.

Although he only saw Takara's face for a few seconds, he noticed that there was a slightly annoyed expression in her eyes.

He downplayed it because it made no sense to him that Takara would be annoyed by his closeness with amagi.

But that feeling of a threatening look kept haunting his curiosity, especially when he hugged amagi, it was as if that look wanted to punch him.

For several days he kept trying to find out but found no one suspicious until one day amagi went to run some errands for one of the teachers and decided she had no choice but to go see katori

"Suzuki isn't there something strange you've noticed these last few weeks?" he asked seeing katori looking at him with an annoyed expression

"Katori is Katori" He said in an annoyed voice but Zaki just laughed.

"Well Katori anyway tell me haven't you noticed anything weird, like a threatening look around you?" He asked looking at Katori

"Threatening look, what do you mean?" Katori questioned.

"It's just that since a few weeks ago I feel a threatening look every time I hug Amagi" He said while touching his hair " But I never find anyone suspicious."

Katori took a sip of his juice averting his gaze to the other side.

"I haven't felt something like that" he said

"Really? Then I'm going crazy" he clicked his tongue.

"That's probably so" Katori replied nodding his head.

Zaki's hand touched Katori's shoulder before he spoke again

"But....si there is someone I saw but it doesn't make sense that it's that person "he said thoughtfully.

"Who was that person?" He asked

Yamazaki walked over to him and muttered under his breath "Takara the pillar of popular."

"but it doesn't make sense that it's him even though he sometimes talks to Amagi I don't see them having a close relationship" he said.

Katori averted his gaze and stood up.

"I think it's better to put the topic aside maybe you're just hallucinating."

Yamazaki looked at him curiously but decided not to say anything

"I guess I'm definitely not hallucinating" he thought.

"You're right I think I'll stop paying attention to the matter" He said standing up to walk towards the door.

Katori just nodded and they both started heading back to class

After talking to katori he seriously thought that he should be the one to find the person with the threatening look because he certainly did not believe that katori did not know about it and although there was still the option of asking Amagi about it he knew that he probably did not know about it because he used to be too clueless to notice if someone was looking at him and it was interesting to investigate by himself

First of all, if he wanted to find out who this person was, he had to start paying even more attention to his and Amagi's surroundings.

This would be easy because both he and katori usually spend most of their time with Amagi although not as much as before plus he sat behind Amagi so maybe he could tell if someone was looking at Amagi.

It was only in the club that I could not see him because Amagi belonged to the environmental club and he belonged to another one but I really did not think there was anyone suspicious in the environmental club

They were a few minutes away from entering the sports class when he remembered that Amagi had mentioned a few hours ago that he had forgotten his uniform.

He touched Amagi's shoulder as he gazed distractedly out the window.

"Amagi do you want to borrow my jacket again? "I was about to give him his jacket when Amagi shook his head.

"Thanks Zaki but it's not necessary I already have one" he replied smiling to which he a little confused without realizing it he turned his gaze towards Amagi's hands noticed it was true.

He has a jacket in his hands...

This was a bit strange because Amagi always used to borrow his jacket when he forgot his own. Katori didn't do it because he said Amagi should be more attentive to schedules.

There was no one else he knew who could lend Amagi that jacket. Would it be a good idea to ask him whose jacket it was? He didn't want to look like a busybody but lately anything to do with Amagi is a little suspicious.

He was about to do so when Amagi got up from his seat and indicated that they should hurry to class.

At first when they arrived in the classroom I wanted to ask Amagi about the jacket but apparently Amagi was too busy talking to Takara since they arrived I didn't know exactly how those two became so close.

He only remembers that time when Amagi wanted to invite Takara to play a little bit but both he and Katori told him it wouldn't work, although there was also that time when Takara came over to talk to them in the classroom.

Amagi and Takara had probably become friends without he realizing it?

"What are you thinking about so much?"Katori asked, interrupting his thoughts by giving him a curious look.

"Oh Suzuki you scared me have a little more tact" Katori just followed with a curious look and asked the same question again.

"Nothing important" He replied wanting to play it down so that katori would not ask again.

"If there is something you suspect or want, to know don't you think it's better to ask that person involved? "suggested katori "And my name is Katori."

"Oh yes Katori I forgot" He said with disinterest he knew katori had noticed his attempt to want to ignore the question.

"By looking around you might get to know something but it's better to ask the person" Katori said before going to take his turn.

Katori was right he should go ask Amagi about his suspicions plus his recent closeness with Takara but lately Amagi disappears without explanation so he has no chance to talk to him.

He turned his gaze to where Takara and Amagi were a moment ago but noticed that they had disappeared from there and began to look for them with his eyes although he did not find them... that was strange

He looked around trying to find out if anyone else had noticed the unexplained absence of these two but it seemed that everyone was focused on their own business.

He thought he should go and look for them but decided it was better not to do so the class was about to end so eventually they would turn up from wherever they had been.

"I want this one "He pointed to one of the snacks to the person who was serving him.

I was in the break with Katori and Amagi buying some snacks to go eat in the lounge at first I thought I would go alone because these two didn't show up but a few minutes later they did.

The three of them started walking towards the classroom after getting their snacks when Zaki thought it was a good opportunity to finally ask Amagi about the jacket he didn't know whether to ask the question but he was really curious

"Amagi you should stop forgetting your uniform" said Zaki smiling maybe if he started off in a disinterested way it wouldn't be so obvious how curious he was

"Mmm that's true but sometimes I just forget" said Amagi giving a slight sigh.

"Maybe you'll have to set a reminder so you don't forget again" suggested Katori.

"Katori is right there won't always be someone who can lend you theirs besides today you turned me down when I wanted to lend you mine that hurt me " He said dramatically touching his chest.

"I'm sorry Zaki but that person noticed earlier and lent me his," said Amagi although he could see a slight smile appear on Amagi's lips.

"May I at least know who is the person who lent you his jacket?" I ask looking at Amagi.

"It was Takara who lent me his jacket "Amagi replied without giving it much importance.

"Takara!?" He almost gave a shout if it weren't for Katori reprimanding him when he saw that he had attracted the attention of those who passed by

He never thought that Takara was the one who had lent the jacket to Amagi only a few hours ago he began to discover that these two had become close.

Zaki is confused well maybe the word confused is too short to describe everything he is feeling after what Amagi told him the day before although Katori reprimanded him for making a fuss and attracting the attention of the other students but for him it was simply impossible not to be surprised by the sudden closeness between Takara and Amagi.

When he asked Amagi how he became friends with Takara he replied that it was because they are both in the environmental club and sometimes they used to talk so they became friends over time but this was still a bit surprising for Zaki as he never thought that a sweet guy like Amagi would be friends with someone as serious as Takara plus it was rare when he saw Takara talking to someone outside his circle of friends.

His mind was in chaos and perhaps his face reflected it as all day yesterday Katori kept telling him to stop thinking so much about the sudden friendship of those two and that he should focus his attention on classes which annoyed him a bit so he told him four eyes which made Katori hit him with a book.

Although it was a bit annoying to agree with Katori, probably this time I should listen to him and stop thinking so much about Takara and Amagi's friendship because anyway it was good that Amagi got more friends because he was a very sweet guy and honestly who wouldn't want to be friends with Amagi? it was normal for Takara to want to be friends with someone as cute as Amagi but that doesn't mean he stopped surprising him

In any case, the friendship between Takara and Amagi was not as important as the fact that he had yet to find out who was the person with the menacing look that every time he hugged Amagi seemed to have the impact of knives in his head.

"So you knew that Takara and Amagi were friends?" asked Zaki towards Katori who just nodded at the question without giving it any importance, they were both waiting for Amagi who had gone to do a homework that a teacher had asked he again

"And you weren't surprised...Takara and Amagi's personalities are very different plus remember that time Amagi tried to talk to Takara but Takara ignored him?"

"Yes I was a little surprised but maybe them being fellow members of the same club made them get to know each other better, don't you think?" A slight sigh escaped Zaki's mouth and then he nodded.

"Mmm it's true,It is obvious that Takara would realize that he would lose a great opportunity if he did not accept to be Amagi's friend" Katori nodded slightly and whispered something that Zaki could not hear.

"I also think that the matter of their friendship is the least important thing now, there is still something I haven't solved" Zaki could notice that Katori frowned a little.

"It's about the threatening look?" I thought you'd already forgotten that."

"I can't forget someone who looks at me like he wants to give me a punch every time I get close to Amagi you can't blame me that look makes me shiver" Katori just rolled his eyes and took a bite of his onigiri

Zaki took a look at the lollipop that Katori had next to him and that he had not touched at any time, lately Katori appeared with lollipops in his hand but he has never seen him eat them but neither did I see him throw them or give them to someone else.

Like Amagi, who sometimes disappears for no reason in sports class and reappears out of nowhere with a cheerful smile, both have behaviors they have never had before.

Turning his gaze back to Katori who looked calm eating his onigiri he decided it wouldn't be a bad idea to take the lollipop after all Katori wouldn't eat it so he reached out his hand towards the lollipop trying to grab it but was hit in his hand with one of the books Katori was holding

"Ah! hurts!" Zaki cried out slightly and stroked his hand to ease the pain of the blow.

"What are you doing? You're not satisfied with just bothering to change my name now you want to steal my food too?" Katori said annoyed as he took the paddle to put it away.

"You never eat those lollipops!" He was about to with his complaint when Amagi appeared in the doorway with a stack of papers in his hands "Oh sweet Amagi let me help-"

"Zaki! Katori! Have you waited too long for me? I'm so sorry!"

I would be lying if I said that he was not surprised to see Takara helping Amagi he still could not assimilate the idea of the two of them being friends he tried to answer that there was no problem but the words did not come out because of the shock of seeing them together but luckily Katori said it for him.

"Does he still give you lollipops?" Takara turned her gaze to Katori who nodded at the question.

Both he and Amagi were confused.

"Does anyone give those lollipops to Katori?" Curiosity made me couldn't help but ask

Takara answered with a yes and proceeded to drop the papers on the teacher's desk after Amagi.

He intended to ask more questions but Takara quickly left, taking Amagi by the hand.

"Why did he take Amagi?" he said confusedly to Katori who just ignored him

It made no sense for him to take Amagi away, he and Katori had been waiting for him for a long time, but Takara simply took Amagi by the hand and led him away..

He didn't like that at all

Would Takara now that he was Amagi's friend try to steal his sweet Amagi's attention?

"Maybe they had other things to do," Katori said suddenly, surprising him a little.

He nodded slightly and looked curiously toward the door.

The thought of following them began to haunt his mind and he didn't know why.

I look at Katori, who seems very calm looking at the lollipop.

He sipped his small juice and decided that he would follow them, maybe

he would be useful if a teacher asked for help with something else.
