Work Text:
Liam pulled the plug out of the Plane, noticing the contestants seemed so small from here.
Did Airy really see them as tiny specks? How does he even watch us from up here?
Ignoring that thought, he picked up the laptop, which he’d put down on the ground earlier, and looked at it.
It was the same as ever, now covered in a thin, almost invisible layer of dust from all that time it spent in the corner of that cabin.
He could use this PC to charge Bradley’s – well, Bryce’s? Liam’s? ...Texty’s laptop. He could finally have some kind of companionship, someone he didn’t have to hide information from. Or, at least, information about the PC.
Without hesitation, he put the laptop on the table and plugged it in.
And nothing happened.
Liam tried again, unplugging and plugging it in again. Maybe it failed to connect properly, he told himself.
Still, the laptop showed no signs of charging up.
Liam tried pressing the power button. Holding the power button, though he knows that doesn’t make a difference in turning it on. The fans stayed off regardless.
He looked closer at the port it was plugged into.
This isn’t the charging port.
The plug wouldn’t fit into the charging port, no matter how hard Liam tried. He looked closer at the plug.
It’s an audio jack. Of course it can’t freaking charge a laptop.
