Chapter Text
He switches off the lights. The only thing he can see now is a lone bathtub with a modern-styled bulb above as a minor source of light. In the corner of the bathroom a shadow of a man moves, neatly folding clothes on the washing machine. HiMERU watches it for some time, then lets the water engulf his body whole. Tatsumi does the same.
The water is hot, but when you touch it for the first time, it feels icy-cold. They sit in front of each other with their knees tucked close. Tatsumi smiles, his expression becoming more relaxed. HiMERU smiles back.
“A tiring day, isn’t it?”
“HiMERU’s head hurt a bit,” he complains. Tatsumi’s eyes start to flutter, worried. A really dumb habit of his, HiMERU thinks—to make this face every time something goes out of hand.
“Didn't we have some aspirin left?”
“HiMERU took some already, so he thought a warm bath might help a little better.”
Tatsumi leans to the bathtub’s side with his back and stretches out a hand to stroke man’s knee in a reassuring manner.
His voice is tender as he says, “my poor Kaname-kun”, still smiling.
”Kaname-kun”, for some reason, doesn’t feel like smiling in return this time.
