Prologue:
Being the son of Mafia couples was not a small feat, having a paranoid overprotective family is much worse, but being in a relationship only to be backstabbed to the point you trust no one is the final point. Having all these together was the life of Phayu and Prapai, heirs of the Theerapanyakun family.
After the death of heads of the main and minor family, the next heads Kinn and Vegas Theerapanyakun joined their family reluctantly by the influence of their spouses. What they didn’t expect was the best outcome they never imagined. The most powerful mafia family in Thailand become the invincible force that no other clans challenged or opposed. Both Kinn and Vegas acted as the main front force and protected their family and business ferociously, their joint forces where unbeatable. Along with the younger heir Kim’s expertise in strategy and his network of spies in shadows gave them the ultimate power. Gone were the two families who always wanted to surpass each other and instead became one unbeatable clan.
While their husbands managed the front forces, Porsche and Pete were the protective blanket over their family. They were the top heads of security and trained the best out of best bodyguards. The absence of the previous heads eased the animosity between them and brought the family closer. No longer were Kinn and Vegas were afraid to show their true emotions. The clan prospered under the new leads.
Then came the arrival of the heirs of the family, the next generation. The Theerapanyakun children were the most loved and protected ones. Both Kinn and Vegas were sure to never make the same mistakes that previous patriarch of the family did. They loved their children more than anything in the world next to their husbands. The kids were beyond spoiled by the family in extension even by bodyguards.
Big and Chan took over as the main heads of security for the kids. They solely focused on their heir’s safety. But the enemies always found a way to hurt the family. When they couldn’t find the way to defeat the fathers, they went after the children. There were always loopholes, people who can be brought by money, some way to get closer to the family. Multiple kidnapping attempts and even murder attempts were occurring to the point in the which Khun Tankhun, who never left the compound after his kidnapping, to leave his safe haven and follow the kids everywhere as personal shield between them and the outside world.
Even within the safety net of their family, it can’t be said that the kids weren’t affected. The events made the heirs to grow much faster than they needed. Soon they understood where they stood in the family, how much they were valued and how many people want to hurt them by extension their family. While other kids went to school and did sports, Prapai and Phayu had to take defensive trainings and martial arts along with their studies. Always surrounded by bodyguards they were not able to enjoy much social life.
Still, their Papas wanted them to have the bit of normal life as much as they could have. Moments which their fathers and papas didn’t want their kids to miss. Their love for the bikes were one among them. While Phayu was most interested to learn to work on the bikes, Prapai loved to ride them from young age. The dangers grew up along with them when they grew up.
Teenage Prapai and Phayu had lot of admirers, they were the perfect mix up of their parents. Smart, handsome and looks that could kill, vicious in nature mixed with their Papa’s kindness. On one hand they had lot of friends and admirers, but along caught the eyes of malicious people, some who were looking for the opportunity to strike the family. Many of their dates turned out to be just honey pots sent to spy on their families, or some for sake of money or favors. Pity they got their heartbroken to understand the outside world and to lose their trust in people. The last straw was when Phayu was drugged by his boyfriend, and Prapai almost went to jail because of baby trap formulated by one his ex. It totally changed them.
Harsh reality forced them from carefree life, friends, and social circle. The only people they had friends were each other and their cousins. And the only people they trusted were their family. Both the couples become more overprotective over their children after the fiasco. They had guards always around them. Previous experience alienated Phayu from having real relationships, whereas Prapai had meaningless one-night stands. Even after their college life and moving towards careers they still stayed away from anything serious. After lot of arguments from their parents and compromise the numbers of guards around them were lessened but still Kinn and Vegas had people who always reported back to them about their kid’s whereabouts.
When these young men thought they would never have real love in their life, they were swiped of the floor by two university besties, Rain and Sky, whom they fell for fast and hard. After lot of pursuits and struggles and outside forces trying to force them apart (which they had lot of struggles to keep away from their parents) these young men finally found someone whom they could trust their heart with. But even after the months of the relationship they still did not reveal their family backgrounds. They wanted more time with their loved ones. But they never thought that their secret would land their loved ones in a big trouble with their parents.
Chapter 1:
Phayu’ s Garage:
‘Papa and uncle Porsche are calling us to the family dinner. You can’t skip them anymore if you don’t want them to be suspicious. You don’t even have proper reason this time Phayu !!’ Saifah’s- exclaimed voice could be heard over the garage while said person was busy texting his love.
‘Are you even listening to me ?’
‘Yeah I can hear you loud and clear little bro, and please stop pestering me, you are becoming more and more like Papa everyday’ Phayu teased exasperated Saifah.
‘Why don’t you just tell them about Rain, keeping this all secret is killing me, you know I can’t see straight thorough Papa or Uncle Porsche’s eyes and lie about your absence another time, don’t even start me with Dad or uncle Kinn. They are even worse, they are always trying to come up with some questions about you too, if this continues, I am going to get anxiety attack !!’
The last sentence made Phayu to put his phone down and move towards his brother and partner in crime, the only person to who knows about Rain and Sky, before letting a long sign.
‘You know the reason why i have not yet confided in them Saifah. You know how Dad and Papa gets. The moment I say I am seeing someone, they will storm in here to know about more, would want to do in their digging even going far to send death threats to my date. Rain is putting a brave facade when he is with me, but he still shaken by the incidents over Stop and Gun. You know he still getting nightmares about me getting hurt? I don’t want him to stress more about meeting our parents, when I have not even talked about who they are.’ hearing this Saifah’ s face grew into more concern.
‘I understand Payu, I just don’t want to mess it up, it’s not just one thing I am hiding, I am keeping shut about Prapai too which is more I am worried about.’
‘Aww… is my cousin worried about me !!’ said owner of the voice strolled over to them still in his race suit, and hugged Saifah.
‘Now what is the thing that you are breaking your head about?’ Prapai moved to sit next to Payu.
‘Well, I am asking Phayu…. No…. I am asking both of you here, when are you going to tell your partners about our parents and when are you going to confess to our family about your boys?’
The question stilled both the men and they looked over each other before facing Saifah.
‘We are not sure Saifah. I know its being months since the incident with his bastard ex, Sky is recovering slowly with the help of his therapist and friends, he is putting lot of effort for my sake, but I can still tell he is having issues. I worried what would he think of our family. What if I traumatize him more!!’
‘I want to give him a choice, if I come clean with Sky I want him to have a choice about being with me despite knowing the dangers he may face. I want to give him the choice to decide if he still wants to be with me’
‘I bet Phayu is also having the same thoughts about Rain’ Pai looked at Phayu who nodded at him confirming his thoughts.
Saifah had a thoughtful expression over his face before voicing his reasons. ‘I totally get you guys, and I totally agree that Sky and Rain need time to heal, but what baffles me is how do you think that they may leave you if they know about our background.’
Both Phayu and Pai had confusing looks on their face.
Saifah put his on his face before speaking ‘Come on guys, those two are hung over the moon for you, there is no way they will leave you. Don’t you trust your partners?’
Saifah moved towards next seat beside them ‘And I know its not easy for you guys too, you are putting up a brave face for them, but I know you have come a long way to trust and love them after what happed in your past. Its big thing for you guys. Sky and Rain are the people who have bought back my cousins back to me from the darkness you were in, I just don’t want to you guys to lose the best thing that happen to you because of your fears. And its not fair for them to be kept in dark. Trust them and confide in them.’
‘And moreover, you have already raised suspicions by being absent for last two family diners, so I want you guys to prepare yourself. We may not have much time as you think.’
This made both Pai and Phayu’s face pale. Saifah was right, they may not have much time as they thought they would.
‘Okay, first come first, we will confide with Sky and Rain once we are back from our trip, then we will inform our family about them in the next dinner’
‘Fine! Hope this plan works. When are you leaving?’ Saifah asked
‘We leave day after tomorrow, it may take from 3 to 5 days, hope we fix whatever the issues Papa is having with these people formally, if not we will just have Arm and Pol deal with them.’ Pai informed Saifah.
Both Phayu and Pai have started involving themselves in their father’s line of business by handling small deals like these to experience themselves in their field.
‘Your boys are okay with your trip ?’
‘Ah you know, Rain was pouting for the whole day before I promised him to buy trinkets’ both Saifah and Pai laughed at thinking about Rain’s cute face pouting.
‘Well Sky is being Sky you know, he is put out that I am leaving him for trip one moment, next thing he is pushing me out of the door saying its important that I finish my duties so that I came early to home to him. I think he is upset but just not trying to show it.’
Phayu and Pai continued to share their moments with their boys while Saifah observed them in silence. Rain and Sky are the best things that ever happened to his cousins, after their past experience he feared they may never find love, but now they are so deep in love which is making them act like fools, not the sons of mafia family. He prays to deities above them that this stays forever.
Theerapanyakun Manor:
‘I am telling you, lets just burn the whole place and get over with it, its too tedious to sit in the same rooms as these guys and have formal discussion with them.’ Khun Vegas Theerapanyakun, head of Minor family voice was heard in the huge meeting room.
‘Oh believe me, I am tempted too, but I am not having my husband and your husband to berate us again like we are some school children that we can’t just go and kill everyone that breaths wrong in our direction’. Khun Anakinn Theerapanyakun, head of main family voiced in same tone as his cousin, lazing in the enormous couch.
Both the mafia heads were in serious discussing about their next move against the Russian clan which were raising conflicts against them.
Aging has not changed anything for the heads of the family, excepts for few grey streaks which increased their charm more, they still look as powerful as before. Controlling the whole room with their aura and domination presence and looks that could kill.
‘Pfft…as if they are better, they both were the ones who dived in first and finish off the whole Irish clan’ Vegas moved next to Kinn with Scotch in glass for both.
‘Well, they shouldn’t have touched Macau, there is no compromise when it comes to family’ Kinn said with his dopey voice that comes whenever he talks about his husband.
Vegas nodded at that, they will try and see if they can work on this deal as normal as possible, or just charge their husbands at them. ‘Hmm I can never get enough of seeing Pete in action’
‘Khun Kinn, Khun Vegas, sorry for the interruption, but we have received some information for one of our spies which are little bit concerning’
Vegas could feel his temper raising and nerves near his temple throbbing, he hated being interrupted. But this is Big, one of their head bodyguards, who had stayed loyal still after decades.
‘Hmm, Pete will have my head if I shoot him, but still, he never interrupts them unless its very important’
‘What is so important that you thought couldn’t wait till our meeting Big’. Kinn’s voice with hidden annoyance filled the room.
‘Umm… Its about the young masters Khun Kinn.’ Big answered them in slight hesitancy.
Gone were the light mood in the room, both the heads were alert now. Their children’s safety was never a light topic to be taken. Both Kinn and Vegas have worked for more than two decades along, throwing their hatred toward each other for the sake of family. They were hard, unforgiving, and vicious when it comes to their safety. Still, they couldn’t save their own sons from heartbreaks, for which they have not forgiven themselves, but never again they will take the chance.
After Phayu and Prapai grew up they wanted to have their own life before taking over their fathers, they lived separately having career in their field of interest, still doing some tasks for their fathers, and coming up for family dinners every month. They respected their decisions and let them live as per their wish but not without proper security. They knew their sons can take care of themselves but still didn’t want to risk it. They have people who looks after them in shadows, not directly involving but in places near, who works in garage, in Pai’s office, even in the race fields which they think it as some secret, just to report back to Kinn and Vegas if any danger befalls them. The have eliminated many threats without even their sons knowing with their information.
Thoughts mulled in Kinn’s head when Vegas question Big.
‘What is it, spill it!. ’
‘You remember about few months ago, about the 2 boys in the racing track’
Both Kinn and Vegas nodded to continue.
‘We brushed it off as it may be one time thing, but it seems they both have been spotted on the places of our young masters repeatedly.’
‘What are you concluding Big’ Kinns voice had more hidden rage this time, which made Big to sweat up a little.
‘We are still not confirmed, but from the info gathered, we think we may have stalker situation sir.’
