Chapter Text
Leviathan is watching the anime [The Magical Ruri Hana: Demon Girl] featuring his favorite Ruri-chan, but Levi finds that he cannot concentrate on his favorite anime.
That would be a disrespect to Ruri-chan....
Sighing, Levi turned on the recording, deciding to watch it later.
He was in the habit of reviewing his collection, and when he noticed a missing Ruri-chan figurine in his closet, Levi frowned.
After rummaging through the room and making sure he didn't misplace the figurine, Levi knew who to look for.
That obnoxious mammon!!!
Waving to Henry 2.0 before leaving the room, Levi began searching for the only white hair in the house.
However, upon finding him, Levi stopped.
------------------------------------------------------------
Mammon is talking to MC, laughing happily at their statements, then leaning on MC as his stomach hurts from laughing so hard.
That happy and relaxed smile, how long has it been since Levi's seen?
Levi rummaged through his memory, but all that now consisted of Mammon's sly grin as he evaded debt....
And his happy smile when he borrowed money from Levi.
It's a smile for money, isn't it?
Whoever gave Mammon money, he probably smiled at them.
With MC being different, they didn't need money or anything, it was Mammon who let loose and got close to them.
Mammon also said "My Human" when talking about MC.
MC is a rare friend of Levi, but Mammon, Mammon is.....
Levi smelled blood, and when he looked down, he realized that his clenched fist was bleeding from Levi's sharp fingernails digging into his skin.
Before anyone realized Levi was there from the smell of blood, Levi left, entering Mammon's room.
------------------------------------------------------------
Sure enough, after a while of searching, Levi found his missing figure in the room.
Looking back at the room, Levi walks past a coat Mammon left on the floor, Levi stops, picks up Mammon's coat and returns to his room.
Levi locked the door, put the statue away, then looked at the coat he had stolen.
Hesitating for a moment, Levi put on his coat, then lay down on the bed and buried his head in it.
Mammon's scent filled his nose, giving Levi the safe illusion of Mammon beside him.
Strange, why would Leviathan do that?
Like in the eyes of an outsider, Levi and Mammon's relationship is the worst, but Levi still lends him money.
....Mammon was also the one who always went to Leviathan's side the most when he was alone in the room.
But since the MC came, everything was turned upside down.
In a good way, of course.
But when looking at Mammon and MC together, Leviathan for some reason....feels lonely.
------------------------------------------------------------
Levi has always followed Mammon, ever since he began to awareness and meet him.
Mammon is the reason why Levi worked so hard as an angel, and also the reason why Levi threw all his efforts and fell with Mammon.
Mammon, is why Levi is here.
Levi still remembered, when they first met, that gentle smile and warm hand of the angel with white hair and brown skin.
But since Levi turned into a demon, their relationship began to drift apart....
"But is that really Mam-nii fault?"
"Or is it your fault?"
A shadow appeared from behind Levi, gently hugging Levi.
A ghostly voice rang in his ears, making Levi shiver.
Mam-nii, what he always called Mammon back in the day.
But for now, it's just Mammon, and some other bad nicknames.
Levi remembered, it was he who started calling Mammon that.
But Mammon always called "Levi" to him.
Is that my fault?
------------------------------------------------------------
"Don't you remember? In the beginning, it was you who let MC make a pact with Mam-nii."
Envy, Levi's Sin, whispered in his ear.
"But you're jealous when you see him smiling at the MC, it's really selfish, Levi."
That's right, why was he jealous of his rare friend who made Mam-nii happy?
"You haven't been nice to Mam-nii for a long time, have you?"
That's right, he treated him badly....
Their whole family is like that, but Levi finds himself to be the main cause when Mammon is punished by Lucifer.
It's all my own fault.
"How sad, self-deprecating and unsightly, to be jealous of the person who made him happy, when we were the cause of his suffering."
"But that's our instinct, isn't it?"
Levi burrowed deep into his shirt, exhaling tremblingly.
The venom of Levi's sin sank deep into his skin, burning his blood, freezing the demon's body.
Yes, that is their nature.
It was a sin that Levi couldn't resist.
After all, he's the Avatar of Envy, isn't he?
------------------------------------------------------------
But something weirder was going on Levi's body, except for the familiar pain burning under his skin.
Levi suddenly remembered that during this time he was likely to enter that "period".
But according to Levi's calculations, that shouldn't suddenly start in the present.
Envy confirmed Levi's suspicions.
“Oh, looks like I accidentally made that period before…”
Envy's voice sounded a little shy this time.
Before Levi could react, there was a knock on the door from outside the room.
Levi temporarily resisted his instincts, walking slowly to the door, opening a small slit to see who was coming.
After all in this period, he had to get someone to inform his family so they wouldn't get-
The figure standing outside the door froze Levi's thoughts.
His instincts and Envy were both agitated, screaming.
Catch that person!!!
------------------------------------------------------------
Mammon, when he realized that he was short of some money, hesitated a bit, then decided to go to Levi's room.
In this house, only Levi and MC are willing to lend money to Mammon.
But this time MC also didn't have much money to borrow Mammon, so he had to go find Levi.
Well, how long has it been since he last borrowed money from him?
Considering his room appeared to be ransacked, Mammon knew Levi also seemed to find him stealing Levi's figurine, again.
So if he borrows money now, he'll probably get scolded.
The worst possibility is that Levi refuses to lend the money....
Prepared to be scolded by Levi, Mammon knocked on the door.
"Levi, are you in there? The great Mammon-sama came to see you!"
Instead of grumbling or dismissive words, the door opened silently, familiar orange eyes staring at him.
While Mammon was a little curious about Levi's unusual silence, an arm reached out, then suddenly pulled Mammon into the room.
The door was closed again, hiding everything inside.
