Work Text:

"CEO Wong, fancy seeing you here."

"War Wanarat, I think I should say that about you. You're a hard man to get a hold of."

The man in question laughed, leaning close to the Anwyll CEO as if whispering a secret. "I'll let you in on a life hack, the easiest way to get in touch with me is through my secretary."

"I will make sure to keep that in mind."

"And just because I particularly like Anwyll, I'll make sure to tell him to put you on the priority list." The Olulo CEO continued to tease, eyes sparkling in obvious amusement as his companion sighed in resignation. "He's very strict with my schedule and I understand that it's very hard to get through to him so we might need to make sure he knows you have a little privilege."

"That would be ideal." The Anwyll CEO replied wryly, remembering the times that his own secretary had tried - and failed - to contact the evasive head of Olulo. He really wasn't kidding when he said that his secretary was extremely difficult to persuade.. "Especially since-"

"Yes, yes I know." The other man replied, waving his hands playfully before turning to the host and smiling serenely, instantly causing everyone in the studio to coo over him. "Sorry about that, I know it's rude to discuss business while on air."

"Oh no, it's alright. It's just a bit odd to see the two of you interact so casually. I wasn't aware that you two were close friends?" The host started, looking between the two men curiously. "But you said business, does that mean we should be expecting a collaboration between Anwyll and Olulo in the near future?"

The men looked at each other before the Anwyll CEO asked, "Can I tell them?"

"You asking that is basically already telling them that something's up so I think you should."

"Well, War and I have been looking into a collaboration for a while now and it has all cultivated to a holiday collection of sorts. We are still in the early stages of planning but it's definitely coming."

"Anan is very excited about this collaboration. He was actually the one who contacted me about it first." War commented, making sure to make it sound like he was spilling a secret. "My secretary gave him a hard time."

"Actually, if I remember correctly, it was you who first put the idea in my head. That one night-" Yin countered with a shake of his head, pretending to remember a distant memory.

"We agree to disagree then because I don't remember." War interrupted with own casual shrug. "It was all an illusion."

"I surrender, I'll just take the credit for causing the collaboration between Olulo and Anwyll. My business partner seems to have completely forgotten the night the idea was first conceived so we will just let it be, it's hard to convince him if he doesn't want to be convinced."

War laughed, patting Yin's knee consolingly. "You know me so well."

---

The lights inside their home were dim and their living room has definitely seen better days, there were pillows everywhere and atleast five blankets he could see strewn all over the floor. But he could care less about all that, especially when he sees the man hunched over the table, brows draws in concentration as he furiously scribbled on his tablet. It was a sight he was familiar with and a sight he would never get tired of coming home to. Most importantly, it was a sight that made his day a whole lot better.

"Hey there Mister War Wanarat, what are you doing over there?" He called out, striding over to his lover to massage his sore shoulders. "You should get some rest, I'm betting you've been here for a few hours or so."

"Hey, you're home early." War replied, looking up at his lover with a tired smile. "I can rest now since you're home."

"Sorry, I wanted to come home with you but there were some things I needed to take care of before I can call it a day."

"You scold me about tiring myself out and yet you're the one fussing around the office all day. Anan, you really should take your own advice."

"As it happens, the reason why I was fussing around the office was so I could spend the entire holiday season with the love of my life. But here he is scolding me for being a workaholic." Yin replied, laughing heartily when War jumped out of the couch in excitement after his announcement. "Before you ask, yes I'm serious."

"We can finally travel? Maybe we can go somewhere with snow."

"Wherever you want to go, just say the word and we'll fly there."

"When?"

"As soon as you're free."

"Anan Wong, it pays to be a reclusive and elusive company owner. No one really misses me if I have my secretary attend to them." War winked, tiptoeing to wrap his lover in a hug. "How long have you been planning a vacation?"

"I haven't planned anything yet."

War leaned back to look at Yin dead in the eye, "Wong, I know you. You already have Plan A to Z and you also know me so well that all those are feasible options."

"Well, it may have taken me a month or so." Yin said, pouting when War only stared at him in amusement. "What? I like to plan ahead."

"I know, and that's one of the many things I love about you."

"And what else do you love about me Mister Ratsameerat?"

"That- I won't ever tell you. The list is for me and me only."

"There's a list?"

"It's growing everyday, you need to stop being the annoyingly perfect boyfriend because I am starting to think people will do anything to get to you and hell if I let that happen."

"Don't worry love, I have a sure fire way of making sure everyone knows that my heart is yours. Always."

War raised a curious brow, letting Yin drag him back to their couch where they sat side by side, his nest of pillows and blankets surrounding them like a mini fort.

"So, what's this solution?"

"It involves a contract-" Yin started, taking his hand in his and playing with his fingers. "- and vows and maybe a ring or two."

There were many times in his life that he could say he was scared, risk was always part of business and he has taken more than his fair share of risks. But the greatest risk he took was falling in love with the man who rivaled the sun. And today, the risk he was taking was finally asking him to be his life partner. A risk he has always been willing to take, even on the day they first met.

"CEO Wong, are you asking what I think you're asking?"

"Hold on, let me get my courage back-" Yin laughed, pretending to thump his heart. "I had a whole speech prepared and it just went whoosh when I entered our house and saw you on the couch looking like a very cozy burrito."

"I'm not sure you should be calling the man you're about to ask to marry a burrito-" War teased, tangling their hands together and looking at Yin with nothing but pure love in his eyes. "Just ask."

"Sometimes I think that I'm so lucky I met you when I did, you are the best thing that ever happened to me. And since that day, all I could ever think about was spending my whole life with you. I've waited and waited for the day when it would finally feel right to ask you to be my husband but I realized that I wanted to come home to you doodling on the couch or singing in the kitchen or-" Yin sighed dramatically, sprawling over War like a wounded puppy. "I just want to ask you to marry me, why am I so nervous?"

"Because you always want the best for me and you stress about it even thought I tell you not to." War replied without missing a beat, gently massaging Yin's temples. "But to answer your still unasked question, I'd love to be your husband."

---

It was much much later that Yin would realize that he missed the most important part in a proposal - the ring. And War's only response would be to nuzzle closer to his now fiance and laugh at him while he scolded himself, reminding him that atleast he got the important part right before offering him his hand that an elegant silver band would soon adorn.

And it was also much much later while they were talking about their upcoming nuptials and collaboration that Yin would joke about their wedding being the first official collaboration between Olulo and Anwyll, laughing about it before realizing that War had that tiny secretive smile on his face. In the Anwyll CEO's books, that only meant one thing - his lover had something up his sleeve.

"What is it?" Yin asked, pinching War's rosy cheeks and playfully squishing them when the later only stuck his tongue out at him. "Tell me~"

"I don't know, I just think it's funny that you would sat our wedding is our first collaboration. What if I I tell you that I can bet I have a collaboration that happened way earlier." War hummed, reaching for a small unassuming envelope on their kitchen island to hand to his confused fiance. "Open it."

"Huh?"

"I think our first collaboration actually happened that night a month ago-" War singsonged, eyes sparkling with happiness when realization slowly dawned on his shell-shocked fiance. "A very successful collaboration if I may add."

Yin looked at War then at the sonogram in his hands than at War again before leaping out of his seat to gather him in his arms and spinning his laughing lover in the air. "We're-"

"We're going to be parents too Anan."

END.
