Chapter Text
“My liege!”
No answer.
“My liege!”
“My liege, we fainally found the stone you were looking for!”
Door quietly opened. A terrifying man in white mask stepped out.
“What are you waiting for? Hand it.”
Finally this time came.
After dying once from Hentuse’s hands he was given another chance to live his last life.
Locked in the room lightened by few candles, man known as White Star start laughing. His fingers scrabbed painting of his eternal enemy.
“Cale.” He whispered.
Scrabbing turned into a careful patting. With pure hatred, he was smearing dead mana on the cevan with his right hand, turning young man’s pale face grey. Only drawing’s reddish eyes remained the same.
On the left hand, he had threads of red hair in the cloth with dark brown spots.
He put the drawing in the center of magical circle and placed stone on it. On one side of the stone man placed mentioned cloth. On the another, he dropped his own blood and hair.
“Demons, I gave up on everything for you. I gave you my flesh and blood. I am your entarnal slave. Now, you have to grant my wish.”
Dead mana boiled.
“Grant my wish in exchange of anything you'd like for.”
His white mask cracked.
“Put me in the skin of my enemy.”
Pain overwhelmed his body. Bloody caughes made him fell on the floor.
But he was smiling.
“Cale Henitue,” He muttered with losing voice. “I’ll take everything you has ever chareshed.”
***
He didn’t have to open his eyes to understand that the ritual worked. Everything felt different.
There was a smell of sweet apple pies in the air.
Bed was much warmer and softer.
Something heavy was laying on his hand.
Whole body hurted. Especially his throat, as if he was coughing blood all day.
And the most important change was how weak he felt.
“Young master, I know you are just pretending to be asleep.”
Ugh.
Cale slowly opened his eyes.
“Oh, were you really pretending?”
Extremly scary smile greeted him.
Scary?
Wait, he, maighty Cale Barrow, couldn’t be afraid of some butler’s smi-
-Human!
*Flinch*
“Human? Are you okay?”
Cale turned and looked at worried, black dragon hugging his white, tine wrist. That voice in his head must have been the young dragon’s too.
Dragon.
The most disgusting creature in the world.
“I-”
Huh. Even talking was quite painful. Did that body coughed blood too?
Anyways.
“I feel very deezy. I am sorry but can you give me some time alone?”
He said with his enemy’s tired and tortured voice.
***
It wasn’t suppose to be this way.
White Star was repeating this words over and over in his mind.
At first Cale thought that his strange state was due to body swap but few hours passed and nothing had changed.
Arrogant face, bloody eyes, annoying smirky lips, long red hair and firm posture-reflection in the mirror was telling that he indeed was Cale Henituse. But judging from the fragile body, that person should have died long ago during the war! White Star was sure that one normal punch could knock that body off.
Nothing made sense.
How could his rival sent from the gods be so weak? How was Henituse controlling his ancient powers with that body in the first place? He tried to use them but with no results. Could it be that ancient powers Hentiuse had were illusions?
White Star wasn’t patient enough to wait. There was no need to be carful anyways. Even if Cale’s group found out who the “Cale” inside really was, they wouldn’t be able to harm this body.
He smiled and looked out of the window.
Would that body break if he fell from the third floor?!
Let’s find out!
He popped the window and unhesitantly jumped out.
Suddenly, wind waves surrounded him and slowly put on the ground.
“Interesting…” he muttered dropping happy smile and focusing on new body.
So he had ancient powers.
But something was wrong with them. As if…as if…
“No way.”
Seemed like there was much more to learn about Henituse before ruining his entire life.
“Ancient powers, I know you can talk. That fool didn’t absorbed you fully, did he?”
Greeted with silence White Star felt huge disrespect.
“Your help will be quite useful. I suggest to answer me immediately, or I’ll absorb you. Your Cale won’t be able to do anything about it, after I do this favor for him. Do you think he’ll be happy about it?”
-You piece of-!
-hey, don’t answer him!
-Cale won’t care. Do anything you want.
“Really? Hmm? Are you sure?”
White Star had dozens of ancient powers. He knew that only reason not to absorb them was love or pity.
Memories of his first ancient power with the endless nights they spend on chating crossed his mind.
He was a bit surprised he actually remembered the things happened so long befre.
“I know how to make you cooperative. You better not piss me off while I control this body. Would be pitiful to get few gimatomas on that weak body, right?”
Silence.
He tried to use fire power but wasn’t able too. But it was okay. He could feel their anger and disparaiton.
While he was already in the garden, he decided to looked around. Fortunately, body itself had some memories too so he didn’t get lost in Henituse’s wide backyard.
But longer he walked, more jealous he felt.
Garden was beautiful.
Forest of Darkness looked gorgeous.
Don’t even mention the villa. Perfect combination of simplicity and luxury.
“I have a castle.” He reminded himself to cheer up, but then-
“T-that’s…”
Dragon Lord’s castle.
That bastard had Dragon Lord’s castle in his yard!
-Human!
“How did you get there? Do you feel better?”
Dragon Lord’s castle…
“Oh no, why do you look so scared? Agh, what’s wrong? Human? Choi Han! Golden Grandpa, help! Human acts strange. I think he is going to faint!”
Black Dragon surrounded him with warm mana.
He felt awful. As if he’d vomit anytime.
Really, what a weakling body-he thought.
“I’m fine.”
But no matter how bad he felt, hero wouldn’t worry his family.
“I’m just hungry.”
“Young master Cale, please, don’t move too much. We’ll use healing magic again in the afternoon.”
Mage of the Red Flames and Dragons were taking care of his body. That confirmed the theory that Cale Henituse was someone sent by Gods to stop him. No way dragons would work with each other or other humans unless it was something Gods ordered them to do. Butler, chief and swordmaster knight were also nearby, ready to do anything he asked. Two kittens where rubbing their heads to his chest.
He felt like a precious doll, wiped and kissed from every angle.
It was frustrating.
Tiring.
Disrespectful.
Disgusting.
And-
And-
Focus.
He had a goal.
He had to breed misunderstanding in hero’s group to make them turn against each other. Together they were too strong. But if he separated them, and one by one killed each, things would go easier. And telling them truth before ending their lifes would be such an entartianing sight! How they would react when they learn there was no betrayal or problem in the group and the reason thay hated each other was nobody else then their enemy!
Remaining himself his reasons to act like a kind hearted Cale Hentuse, he smiled brightly.
“Thank you for taking care of me. I am very grateful for your concerns.”
Little did he know, that his ways of acting natural were…not…very…natural.
For some strange reason everyone stared at him with dumbfounded expressions.
“Human, why are you smiling like this? Are you planning to scam someone?”
