Christmas break had finally started at NRC. [Name] was exhausted from dealing with Ace and Deuce's shenanigans, and she was desperate to get away from them before they could do anything more idiotic than they had already done.
"Hey, [name]?" She heard someone trying to get her attention. Turning around, she saw Jack trying his hardest to keep his composure. His face was as red as Riddle's hair and he refused to meet her eyes.
"I was just... wondering if you wanted to come to my place after school. Don't think anything of it, but... I want you to see my hometown... that's all."
[Name] smiled. "Sure thing! Lemme just grab my stuff from my room and we can get going."
Jack nodded.

Once [name] had finished grabbing all of her belongings, she found Jack and they began to walk down the hall. When they got to the hall of mirrors, [name] stopped in her tracks.
Jack tilted his head. "What's up?"
[Name] sighed, "Crowley made me promise to keep an eye on Grim for the whole break... so I need to go find him."
"Find who?" A familiar voice asked from behind them. [Name] jumped 3 feet in the air, punching at whoever asked the question.
"[Name]! Quit it will ya! It's me, Grim!" The cat-like creature cried as he dodged her punches.
[Name] stopped punching pretty quickly. "Oh."
After a moment of awkward silence, Jack spoke up. "So... are we going?"
Both Grim and [name] nodded. Though Grim was a tad more confused than his human classmate..
They stepped through the mirror that lead to Jack's hometown. On the other side was a forest with a plethora of log cabins that seemed to blend in with the trees. [Name] took in the scent of the pine trees, noting how similar they smelled to Jack.
Snow fell to the ground, covering the earth almost like a blanket. Suddenly, [name] regretted forgetting her jacket at her dorm. She shivered, tensing up when she felt something soft cover her. She looked down to see a huge coat on her shoulders.
Specifically, the coat Jack was just wearing a moment ago.
"Jack, aren't you cold?"
Jack shook his head. "I've grown up dealing with the cold all my life. Besides, you look like you need it more than me."
[Name] nodded, pulling her arms through the sleeves.
They finally arrived at his house, and [name] could hear the cracking of a fire from inside. Jack hurried to the door, opening and holding it for the girl. [Name] stepped inside, followed by Jack, and then took of her shoes. She quickly made her way to the fireplace, sitting down and getting herself warmed up.
"Do you... still want the coat on? I have a quilt you can use instead." Jack suggested. When [name] nodded, he left the room for a moment. He came back with a fluffy brown blanket, which he quickly swapped out with the jacket [name] was wearing. She shivered some more before getting used to the temperature.
Jack sat down after hesitating for a moment. He made sure not to get too close to [name]. However, all hope of not getting close to her was crushed when she scooted next to him, resting her head on his shoulder.
Jack jumped a little before relaxing and leaning so his head was on top of hers.
"...love you, Jack..." [name] mumbled. Jack's eyes widened as he looked down. Seeing, however, as she was asleep, he simply went back to resting his head on the other's. "I... I love you too."
