What was Hintas first mistake?
Maybe it was him not moving to the ball fast enough?
Staying out later than usual? With mid terms
right around the corner it wasn’t anywhere near a good idea.
Not finishing his homework in time? He needs his grades up after all.
Or maybe it had something to do with you.
Not ever commenting on your outfits,
Your hair,
Or your makeup.
Not talking to you unless you initially started it
Not doing anything for you unless he needed to.
But he knew his first mistake was to fall in love with you.
To fall in love with your laughter that sounded like a whole symphony to him.
To fall in love with the light in your eyes whenever you talked about something you were passionate about.
To fall in love with the way you made him feel like he just hit a winning spike.
To fall in love with the euphoric feeling you ignite in him just by existing.
He fell in love with you, completely in love with you.
Making that his first and biggest mistake.
Knowing all to well that at the end of the day,
He couldn’t have you.
Not when you were someone else’s.
He doesn’t understand why it hurts so much to see you so happy with them.
When he knew he never had a chance with you to begin with.
