“What in Merlin’s beard?!” Draco exclaimed as a sentient tinsel monster teetered in front of him.
“Draco?” The monster asked in a muffled voice. It shook and a family mop of hair appeared.
“Oh Merlin! What have the twins turned you in to?” Draco asked in dismay. The confused face of Harry appeared.
“What are you talking about?” Harry asked as he stepped down from the stool he had been standing on. Draco watched the tinsel fall off him.
“What is that?” Draco asked, going from concerned to disgusted.
“Tinsel garland,” Harry said as he picked up a handful of the garish red and green shiny garland and held it up.
“No,” Draco said flatly.
“Yup,” Harry chirped. He then looked up at where he was standing.
“Potter, what are you doing?” Draco asked, bracing for the answer.
“Decorating,” Harry said as he went to stand on the stool again.
“Potter! You’re a wizard!” Draco snapped. Harry stared at him. “Use your wand, moron.”
“But how?” Harry asked confused. Draco stared and Harry stared back. The blond made an exaggerated annoyed sigh.
“Never say I don’t love you,” Draco said annoyed.
He took his wand out and swished it to untangle the mass of tinsel. He waved his wand again to raise each garland and began sticking it so it draped around the room from the ceiling. When he finished he let out a breath and wiped the sweat off his forehead. He should have asked Harry to help but when he’s annoyed he just does things. He turned to the other man to snap at him but the sheer look of wonder and joy deflated him.
“I’ll teach you,” Draco said, mentally sighing. Harry practically vibrated in place before enveloping him in a gentle hug.
“Thank you,” Harry said quietly before kissing him.
