Work Text:

It was finaly december.
it must be one of Ori’s favorite times of the year. It had been snowing the past days, placing a comfertable layer of white powedery snow. Atleast it helped with the feeling that it was not so dark outside anymore.

Anothing reason december was one of Ori’s favorties was that it gave him a good exuse to wear his knitted scarves and gloves but as well that the others in his family would do the same. Fili was visiting this weekend before Christmas rolled around and they would be busy with their usual family gatherings and other plans they had made, so it gave them a good excuse to just take it easy and relax.

‘’I heard there would be a christmas marked this evening. Maybe it would be worth it to go there?’’ Fili looked up from his phone and showed the screen to Ori.
‘’would be good to finish the last run of the gifts i need to buy’’ He added sheepishly and leaned down to kiss Ori’s cheek.

‘’Sure. Is it far away or is it the usual marked down by Dale as always?’’ Ori asked softly and put down his mug of tea. It was getting later out in the evening but it would give them an exuse to leave the house for once. Fili nodded excited and got up from his chair.
‘’Come on! We dont have much time to loose’’ He laughed and nudged Ori once more before leaving his boyfriend in the kitchen to get his knitted scarf and coat on.

Ori just looked at his cup of tea and sighed as he just made it but alas he could make another one the next time. He stood up and made his way after Fili and smiled happily seeing how Fili still used the first scarf he had knitted.
a few kisses and many layers of wool later they left the cozy little house and made their way down the street to the famous Dale christmas marked.

Even if they came later than usual did not mean it would be less people. The marked was buzzing with life, everyting from people buying christmas trees, buying hand crafted gifts to listening to the live music being played. It was a nice saturday and with the added music it made it very cozy.

Ori held Fili’s hand as they weaved themself through the marked and excitedly pointed out the new stall with yarn. He made his way to it and felt the soft texture of the woolen yarn and talking more to himself did he plan allready what to make out of them.

Fili listened and laughed along his boyfriends excited plans of knitting but something else did take his attention away from him. The music playing in the backround was making his body pleasently tingly and it made him want to dance. His left foot tapped alongside the beat and turned halfway around to see people starting to come to the deck infront of the musicians and dancing. An idea formed in Filis head and he leaned closer to Ori.
‘’Lets put those things down right now, i want to dance with you¨ He took Oris hands and before the man could complain about the interuption he was swept away and brought to the dance floor.

The music picked up the pace and Fili excitedly started to move his body alongside Ori with the tempo of the song and their feet moving on their own. Dancing was something Fili loved to do once he had the time and it had resulted in a few dancing classes in his younger years. And thanks to those it did not make him loose his footing. Ori was a less talented dancer but he picked up quicker and it was not the first time that Fili had brought him up to a dancefloor. Tho the deck of a christmas marked was somewhere they had not quite intended to end up. The song ended and they where left rather breathless and their faces flushed from both the cold and the excitment of the situation.

Ori laughed soflty and leaned close to end the dance properly with a sweet press of his lips to Fili’s.
Yup. It had been a great idea to go here.

Little did he know that the yarn he had been oogling on was allready bought and packed in neatly by Fili.
