Chapter Text
It hurt, everything hurt but he kept running. ‘Don’t look back, DON’T LOOK BACK.’ He repeated to himself. It was a long trip from Teiko to the public park basketball court, Tetsuya didn’t know why he ran there. Everything just hurt even more when he stopped running, his lungs hurt and screams wouldn’t come out. The painful tears, all the previous events came crashing onto him all at once making him fall to his knees while holding his stomach. That was the last time Tetsuya Kuroko was seen in Japan, until highschool that was.

Why was everyone so loud? Well that was a stupid question. It’s a new year with new students so clubs are bound to be loud while looking for members. I passed the basketball club’s table and signed up, the people there didn’t see me but that’s only natural. No one’s noticed me much before so it doesn’t bug me. It was difficult for me to sign that paper knowing what happened last year but there's still hope this’ll be different. The member’s I walked by while reading my book seemed a little stupid but nice. There’s a specific guy who caught my interest, a redheaded light. Kind of reminds me of Aomine-Kun, looks like he’ll be making it into the basketball club. I’m sure I won’t, maybe I just shouldn’t go. I didn’t go, guess that’s the end of that. But now I’ll be able to focus on my studies without any distractions.

The gym the basketball club trained in was crowded today, and Kuroko knew why. The second he heard a bunch of girls piling up while screaming he immediately turned away using his lack of presence to his advantage and ran in the library’s direction. ‘Hasn’t even been a week.’ Was his first thought while running. While inside the gym a pretty blonde was beating the red headed light’s butt in a one-on-one match. Beating was an underestimation, he destroyed him. That Blonde was the model and Basketball player from Kiseki no Sedai Kise Ryota. Kise was the reason all those girls were piled up in the gym, he’s a famous Model so they all wanted an Autograph. Kagami Taiga, the redheaded light, challenged him by throwing a basketball in his direction. The challenge ended with him landing on his butt after losing to the pretty blonde.
“Hmm, now. Where 's Kuroko-chi?” He looked around, maybe it was how much time it had passed since he last saw the snow haired beauty but from the look on the coach’s face he really wasn’t there. “Do you mean Kuroko Tetsuya?” Riko asked him, she was a pretty second year with short brown hair and beautiful brown eyes. She was also the coach. “¡Yes! Did he come today? I heard a rumor of him attending this school after coming back from Brazil!” Kise was excited, nobody knew why Kuroko disappeared from Teiko but if he had the chance to find out he’ll take it. “He’s here, the teacher marked him present this morning but I didn’t exactly see him.” Taiga answered for Riko, it turned out they were in the same class but he hadn't runned into him yet. “He signed up for the club but never showed up.” Riko was a little offended that Taiga spoke in her place.
“You probably just didn’t see him, Kuroko-chi has a very low presence! Kind of like a ghost. He is the phantom-six man of the generation of miracles!”It really showed that Kise looked up to Kuroko, each and everyone of his words was filled with pride and joy. What Riko didn’t understand is that if this Kuroko was so great then why wouldn’t he show up to try outs. It just doesn’t make any sense for someone who signed up to not show up. “Awh, Okay. I’ll look around, oh and, you’ll have to work a lot harder to beat the Generation of Miracles.” Kise’s voice wasn’t so friendly towards the end. He felt insulted that the redhead challenged him and if his suspicions were correct he wanted to best the Generation of Miracles. Some girls stayed outside excited to get his Autograph so he thought of something, if Kuroko wouldn’t pop out of the fog he’d have to chase him out.
“Ladies, I know this sucks but I only have a bit of time left. But!” The girls whined a little before he continued. “A friend of mine attends this school, he’s 5’6 and has snow white hair with ocean blue eyes and pale skin. His name Is Tetsuya Kuroko, I’m sure he’s willing to give whichever one of you finds him first my phone number for me. But only the first person to find him, think of it as a game.” He was signing some Autographs really quickly while explaining, some of the girls in the back that probably wouldn’t be able to get Autographs immediately began their search. If they couldn’t get his Autograph they’d have to settle for his phone number and try to secure a date with Kise
. . . . . . . . . .
Yesterday was a pain, Kise had his fangirls chase after me the whole day. Some Kyora girl found me first and kept bugging me to give her Kise’s phone number. I gave it to her in hopes that she’d annoy the hell outta Kise. But he isn’t going to get away with this. Before I left school yesterday I made sure to contact the principal so that he’d tell the Coach to only allow four players onto the court and wait. She did listen, there was a threat included of getting rid of the basketball club if she didn’t listen. It was time for me to join in the game. I walked onto the court with a Seirin Uniform, no one there noticed me but that was natural at this point. What surprised me is that Kise himself didn’t see me. My low presence stopped affecting him in our third year since he always hung around me. “We’re about to get started so Seirin please have your full line-up of five on the court.” The referee said and everyone on Seirin started to get nervous before I spoke.
“There are five here.” Coach Riko, Kise, The Captains and Players were all shocked. Even the ones practicing on the other side of the court started to look me up and down. “K-Kuroko-chi! Your Here!” I sent a glare to where that annoying voice came from and mouthed, ‘This is payback for yesterday.’ First thing I did once the game started was take the ball from their number 4. It took him a bit to locate me but it was easier to catch up, I haven’t played in a while since my family came back to Japan. From the look on his face I knew he was underestimating me but the red light was close by. He was ready to take the ball from Number 4 if I couldn’t hold onto it but I passed the second he was a step ahead of number 4. Sure he was shocked but that only lasted a couple seconds before he dunked and a loud crash noise filled the court. This airhead just broke the hoop, that’s really something else. But now I have to face the coach, at least Kise will be in the game.
Kaijo’s coach looked pissed so I walked over Apologizing while adding some more salt to the wound. “Excuse me sir but we won’t be able to continue this game unless we use the full court. Do you think you’d be willing to allow that?” Not once had I broken eye contact with Kaijo’s coach while avoiding the confused glances I got from everyone else. “KUROKO-CHIIII!” I had almost forgotten about this Annoying pest. But Kise wasn’t my biggest issue, Riko Aida was.
“KUROKO TETSUYA! Are you the reason why our club was threatened!? Why didn’t you show up before, where did you get a uniform and WHERE DID YOU COME FROM!?” She kept yelling at me while I tried my best to avoid the punches she was throwing at me. Kagami Taiga just kept talking about how they should’ve never been underestimated by Kise and his team. Meanwhile the gym began to fill with people and Riko kept trying to look at my stats only for it to fail. This was really going to be fun…
